Supernaturally’ nods to classic UK garage and house, but that’s just the starting point; gifted with vocals from Yasmin, the track shows Preditah’s continued exploration beyond the grime sound that’s brought him to the forefront of the UK scene. Wrapped in the on point production that’s a staple of every Preditah release, expect to hear ‘Supernaturally’ all summer long, from warehouse raves to festivals, national radio and beyond.

Born in Birmingham, Preditah’s series of instrumental EPs, Solitaire EP, Eightsome EP, Circles EP, Red Bull EP, Gears of Grime, and El Futuro EP, ensured a growing presence on pirate radio and on the dancefloor.

His breakthrough track, ‘The Big Wok’, was noticed by JME (Boy Better Know), and this association helped cement his reputation, soon after he became the tour DJ for Skepta.

Taking into account his skills as a composer and guitarist (bass guitar), and his remixes for the likes of Skepta, Tempa, Jessie Ware, Disclosure, Blonde and Tchami, you have all the hallmarks of a prodigious talent.

Forthcoming Preditah shows include Sankeys Ibiza, Garage Nation, Tinie Tempah’s series of Pool Parties at Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza, Lovebox, Boomtown, Shakedown, Together at Amnesia, Creamfields, and many more.

CHALK who are based in London, England.

Having played as separate singer songwriters on the London acoustic scene for some time, Josh Fowley and Jonny Breakwell decided to join forces in September 2014 and write music influenced by some of their favourite electronic artists.
In the short time the duo have been together, they have already been featured in a number of publications, and performed at a selection of top London venues including The Enterprise next to Chalk Farm Tube Station where they played their first gig together and where their name originates from.

An alternative indie rock band formed in the Northeast, Abel Raise the Cain were brought together by a mutual love of atmospheric and epic indie soundscapes influenced by the likes of Arcade Fire, Sigur Ros and Editors.

The release of double A side single Too Late/The Promise' brought the band widespread critical acclaim leading to both singles receiving repeated airplay on radio stations across the UK, including regular plays on BBC Introducing. 'Too Late' was also playlisted on Brazilian National Radio & featured by Channel 4 on a primetime television program.

Regulars on the live circuit, Abel Raise the Cain have played shows across the UK, where they've earned a reputation for enthralling and energetic live performances, which have led to coveted support slots for Happy Mondays, Primal Scream, Dexys Midnight Runners, Spiritulized, Kodaline and Skaters.

The music video for new single Black Swans', taken from the forthcoming debut EP For Strangers Only, went straight to number one in the Beat 100 music chart which features bands from all over the world. The song also led to Abel Raise the Cain to win the Beat 100 Ultimate Musician award, recognising them as one of the most outstanding bands on the network.

Black Swans is a sign of things to come; an epic, sweeping message, the symphony of a Broken Heart.

"When the bubble or romantic suspense pops, a chorus, a wall of sound, a full culmination of six instruments really grabs the ears; A chanted motif, "I'm just too late", has rung around in my head since coming across Abel Raise The Cain. This is a 'big room' song."
Narc Magazine

"Abel Raise The Cain closed out 2012 with the release of their fantastic Double A-Side single, entitled Too Late /The Promise. The two tracks are great, with Too Late having the previously mentioned orchestral sound that builds up to a satisfying crescendo with Crichton delivering a repeated poignant line Im just too late that really sticks in the head. The Promise is equally majestic, but with a more varied structure of an acoustic opening, before building up to a huge cymbal-crashing middle-section and neatly wrapping up with a beautiful guitar line to draw the song to a close."
Hooting and Howling Magazine

'The Promise', their latest single, is a positive example of what is yet to come. A strong arrangement of components from a solid foundation to husky vocals. A distinct range of elements creates the perfect atmospheric soundscape. With riffs that blend well when harmonized with repetitive vocals, effective musical layers are produced adding to the depth of this song. Despite being a new act were sure these guys will take 2013 by storm. Such a promising act with evident talent, you would be a fool not to keep an eye out for Abel Raise The Cain this year."
Venture Mag Northeast

"'The Promise' is an ambitiously produced ethereal indie rock tune filled with tastefully layered guitar riffs and haunting harmonies. Sean Crichton's husky vocals are filled with intense depth and emotion that instantly sweep you off of your feet."
Cargo Collective

"An ambitious, bold sound for fans of Arcade Fire and Coldplay!"
Mixtape

"Abel Raise The Cain pack quite a punch a visceral live band, their post-rock is expansive and epic."
KYEO TV

"Even closer to home are Abel Raise The Cain and they seize their moment in the sun. A powerful atmospheric performance reveals clear and present signs of life on the Teesside music scene."
God is in the TV Zine

Calum Foad -

MeMeMe' off the back of some really encouraging BBC play and would be keen to try and get you on board for this release too! The track is a light hearted, fun-poking, summer jam about social media and the trivialities of it!

The music video for 'MeMeMe' is premiering on Wednesday 24th June, with a 2 track EP being released on July 13th.

The Talks are embarking on an extensive UK tour punctuated by European festival appearances, full details here: http://www.thetalks.co.uk/shows/4551324681

In just a short space of time The Talks have built themselves a compelling live reputation across the UK and Europe for delivering sweaty, high octane, dance floor filling shows, treading the boards with the likes of Madness, The Specials, Rancid, The Beat and many more.

2013 saw the band release their eagerly anticipated Westsinister E.P. along with singles Can Stand The Rain - featuring the legendary Neville Staple from The Specials and the YouTube smash Friday Night. The E.P. and respective singles achieved much success with Ska Punk and commercial listeners across the UK and Europe and also achieved the playlists of certain American, Australian and Japanese Ska orientated radio stations. With main stage performances at globally renowned festivals such as This Is Ska (DE), Mighty Sounds (CZ) and Rebellion, tweets of appraisal and support from new wave big hitters Less Than Jake, glowing reviews and cover features from Big Cheese and Vive Le Rock Magazines - not to mention appearing in programmes on various UK TV networks - the bands reputation has surged from strength to strength.

In April 2014 the band released Dont Look Behind You, their first single from upcoming album Commoners, Peers, Drunks and Thieves, which boosted the bands popularity seeing them dramatically increase their touring schedule and break through further into commercial and alternative media across Europe. Proceeding with a successful second single "Radio" in their back pocket, The Talks shortly followed with new album Commoners, Peers, Drunks and Thieves' and set out on an extensive European tour. Totalling up 40 gigs spanning two months across 9 different countries, and about 10,000 miles of tarmac, the band were able to explore a lot of new, wide reaching territories and deliver the mayhem to brand new audiences in places such as Italy, Austria, Poland and Croatia.

'Commoners, Peers, Drunks and Thieves' was released on 24th November 2014, sale figures continue to rise and the tracks are continuing to attract air-play globally.

They embody the 2 tone sound of the Specials and the punkiness of Rancid. I know its early, but this EP is one of my favorites!
Read Junk

Its packed with lively upbeat tracks that prove Ska is not only alive and well but also, fresh and relevant.
MRU

(modern sub) 60s keys, slicing guitar, rolling bass line and snapping tight drumming, a cool and clear vocal
Studs and Punks

When it comes to ska, there's no more seminal figure than The Specials singer Neville Staple. He guests on his friend Pat's band The Talks ' new single which melds trad ska with reggae and punk influences, with a socio-political lyrical approach. Can Stand the rain is a belter from hull's finest.
Big Cheese Magazine

The Talks rock a blend of old school Jamaica ska infused with Two-Tone sensibilities and a refreshing lack of 3rd wave spaz.
SKa4U

A few of these rude boys, really look like boys but with the song's stuttering chorus, walking bass and propulsive horn line, easily erase any doubts about their maturity. Music Ruined my Life

Natalie Prass - 'Bird Of Prey' (Radio Edit)

Impact Date: 31st July – Label: Spacebomb/Caroline/Universal.

Stroll up to that jewelry store shimmering on a hot Virginia night, under the neon “Spacebomb” sign and take a look at the latest gem–glowing, sparkling, radiant with light. Natalie Prass is the sound of an artist and community working together, replete with lightning-in-a-bottle chemistry, soaked with the same sweet perspiration and small-town spirit that ran through Memphis, New Orleans and Muscle Shoals. It is both an utterly timeless and perfectly timed affair. Using the experience from producing Matthew E. White’s Big Inner, Spacebomb joined forces with a true kindred spirit–Nashville singer and songwriter Natalie Prass–to travel deeper into its universe of sound. The sheer quality of her voice and songs gave collaborators the freedom to push their craft to the limit: Trey Pollard’s gorgeous, technicolor strings rising from the coastal plain; White’s muscular R&B horn signatures driving and complicating the dance; everything locked down to the rhythm section of Cameron Ralston and Pinson Chanselle riding a supernatural groove. Natalie Prass is a thoughtful collection of music, nourished by reverence for past eras of big band and jazz and infused with the crisp detail of late 70s & early 80s R&B, a diamond for everyone, a sophisticated soul-pop triumph.

“Bird of Prey” kicks it off with that silky and propulsive beat. Prass delivers the goods, balancing an infectious hook and calmly observed feelings as flutes dive and weave between muted horns, a rolling tack piano courtesy of Daniel Clarke (k.d. lang, Ryan Adams) underpinning the beat. This track makes a confident assertion that southern soul is not gone or lost, or confined to retro gestures. Funky horns, gutsy guitar lines and murmuring flutes in “Why Don’t You Believe In Me” connect with the song’s wry internal monologue, sine wave needles of feedback penetrating the mix in counterpoint to an overall controlled elegance. “Violently” riffs off expectations for gentle ballads with its raw take on the intensity of desire. Vocally inspired by Diana Ross, conveying both softness and strength–a litheness and brightness, Prass has the ability to express the full spectrum of emotion and drift further into shades unknown. During "My Baby Don't Understand Me," she sings of the world crumbling while horns sashay into fanfare, the arrangement getting impossibly big but never losing the groove, staying balanced, dropping down to a piano lick, then returning with force–with power. As a songwriter, Prass has that rare ability to compose in her own distinct voice and still sound immediately classic.

The graceful “It Is You” closes out the album in style, the spirit of Harry Nilsson strolling in a sentimental mood through colorful fields of sound. Pollard distills his strings to their highest proof: intoxicating, sweet and lush, then fading down to a perfect sigh of dissonance. Natalie Prassconsistently achieves those moments of “shared recognition,” when certain elements, a nuance of arrangement or the emotional weight of a lyric, unite to create astonishing richness and depth. This artist and this record reach Spacebomb’s vision of intensely personal, well-crafted regional music, a new music that has global reach and appeal. It wouldn’t sound the same coming from anywhere else, New York, Chicago, L.A. or even Philly; the pace is unique–pure central Virginia time, bound up in the tight harmony of community, its energy captured and released in the vibrant, effortless sound of Natalie Prass.

BILLY VINCENT

Billy Vincent’s new album ‘Stand On Me’ hits the shelves on August 28th 2015. Here’s the skinny...

‘Stand On Me’ tells 12 tales, some taller than others, and some absolutely honest and true. At times it’s a heartbreaking, drunk in the blackness, fumbling for a lighter to burn your bridges record – but it’s as blindly optimistic as it is dark.

London's seedy underbelly hasn't been chronicled this vividly since The Libertines' debut." - Q Magazine

Co-writers and singers Billy Barratt and David Vincent had this to say about the new album, its title, and the songs therein...

“We thought it important to choose a title that represents the bigger part of the songs on the record, and 'Stand On Me' is one of those reassuring statements that if you're lucky, someone close to you might say to you when you feel like you’re out of options, letting you know you can lean on them and it's all going to be alright”.

“A lot of these songs are about that, not letting people you care about crumble and disappear with the rain, it's a positive thing and we wanted to embrace it”.

This album, however, is not soft or mushy – it’s as aggressive as it is sincere. It’s Americana, dragged through South London... kicking and screaming.Recently signed to Swiss label Deepdive Records, this hard hitting, country-tinged record stretches further afield than the debut album ‘She’.

Covering the UKSwitzerlandGermany and Austria, the band will support the release with tour dates in each region.

BISCUITHEAD AND THE BISCUIT BADGERS

Queen of the Roller Derby is the latest single from BBC 6 Music favourites Biscuithead & the Biscuit Badgers. It’s a wistful little song about the lost love of a circuit-track diva.

Imagine the subversive surrealism of Vic Reeves, the splendid chappery of the Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band and the wistful, poetic eclecticism of The Divine Comedy – that’s Biscuithead & the biscuit Badgers

The single is taken their album Dinosaurs Ate My Caravan; a hymn to a range of contemporary issues, from soy milk to David Attenborough; tea and biscuits to mysterious uncles. There’s a lament at the passing of dinosaurs and an in-depth study of the formation of snow. Queen of the Roller Derbyfollows Andrea’s Arms, about a young woman who will stop at nothing to reach the top kitchen shelf, which was recently aired by Tom Robinson on BBC6 Music.

Biscuithead & the Biscuit Badgers - featuring Sam on tuba, Matthew on drums, Bob on piano and Dean on voice and ukulele - have been thrilling audiences all over the UKsince 2006. The latest leg of their bid for world domination sees them play Bury, Bristol, Stroud, LeedsCumbria and WOMAD, when they’ll be headlining Molly’s Bar on the Friday night.

Sometimes I love bands because their music is so exquisitely crafted, and sometimes simply because it's irresistibly daft. In the case of Biscuithead & the Biscuit Badgers, it's both!

Tom Robinson, BBC Radio 6Music.

Classic English surreality, a delightful mix of Vic Reeves Big Night Out, Bonzos and Music Hall. I want to marry them all.

Bob Fischer, BBC Radio Tees

My favourite album of the year.....perfect to play in a camper van. Every track on it is a gem, the lyrics are a thing of beauty – with slightly scary undertones. Get their album, it is great!

APACHELUX

Emerging from the notorious melting pot of musical talent of Southend on Sea that was home to Danielle DaxScroobius PipProcol Harum and many more are APACHELUX.

A meeting of the minds between Jay Wigmore and Louisa Strachan. Both hailing from the Nirvana generation, long-term stalwart indie drummer Jay met singer/songwriter Louisa at Southend’s Village Green festival last year.

With influences as diverse as Maya Jane Coles to Royal Blood, War on Drugs to Roisin Murphy, Girls Aloud to Smashing Pumpkins, Apachelux’s genre-straddling sound is bound up to a mission of creating ‘dancefloor moments’…that euphoric feeling that makes you grin, jump, maybe even fall in love.

This Time is the debut single from Apachelux, a gorgeous slice of electronic pop music primed to create a dreamy slice of electronic pop, consciously coupling Louisa’s tough but plaintive vocal and Jay’s bittersweet analogue melodies. Alongside the original are remixes from wunderkind Larkebird with a disco-infused house rework that bumps in all the right places; and Spatial Awareness, with a moody, minimal remix for the late night floors.

Min Diesel

Their previous work - including a split single with fellow Scottish noiseniks Pinact - draws heavily upon the best bits from their favourite late-80s/early-90s punk, lo-fi and math-rock bands' back-catalogues. The 10 tracks on "Mince" were recorded by Matthew Scott at Bakesale Recordings (Deathcats, Paws), mastered by Steven Ward (Mogwai, Errors) and exhibit every facet of the sound.

Born and raised in Aberdeen and the surrounding areas, the band subtly but undeniably delivers a uniquely north-eastern take on their trans-Atlantic influences through their lyrics and vocals. Currently based in “The Granite City”, the band are very much at the centre of the burgeoning local music scene. Having played alongside bands such as Joan of Arc, Johnny Foreigner, Playlounge and Tuff Love in their hometown, regular appearances outside Aberdeen culminated in a full UK tour in 2013. The year after was spent cherry-picking, refining and recording the best songs from their extensive back-catalogue.

While some sources of musical inspiration for the trio are immediately clear, the ideas extracted are combined in such a unique way that it is challenging to define the sound of mindie-rock with specific external references.

DIY magazine attempted to pin it down as "a crashing, beautiful noise that fits somewhere between Dinosaur jr. and Stapleton". Min Diesel will be playing around Scotland in May 2015 and the rest of the UK over summer.
