Corbu
Debut album Crayon Soul released 5th August 2016 via 3Beat

www.corbucorbu.com

Crayon Soul is debut album from New York based modern psychedelic band Corbu. Produced by Dave Fridmann (Flaming Lips, Mercury Rev, Tame Impala). It’s modern because instead of referencing classic rock of the 60s and 70s, they take their psychedelic inspiration from Warp Records acts like Aphex Twin, Squarepusher and Boards of Canada. Corbu are Jonathan Graves, who writes, sings, plays instruments and designs artwork; and Amanda, who writes and plays synths.

Woozy, dreamlike psychedelia is a defining feature of the music that Corbu now make together, but it’s also informed by the artists the pair have grown into later in life like Aphex Twin, Boards of Canada and In Rainbows-era Radiohead. Once Jonathan and Amanda began collaborating and writing songs together, Corbu became a way for them to use the music they love to tap into their collective unconscious. Their resulting debut album, Crayon Soul, is a record about finding your way back to a childlike and joyous mental state.

The last song to be written for Crayon Soul was ‘Battles’, a song about the fight to be creative.  “It's about the struggles of trying to go against the grain in anything in life, but I always wanted it to be really joyful," says Jonathan. “It’s about battles, but we wanted there to be a feeling that you're sort of winning."

While writing the album, Jonathan and Amanda always only had one name in mind for the person they wanted to mix it: Dave Fridmann. Having made his name working with artists like The Flaming Lips and Mercury Rev, they knew he was the one person who would understand the aesthetic that they wanted Crayon Soul to have – and they personally contacted him to invite him to be a part of the project.

With Fridmann’s help, Corbu have succeeded in their ambition to create a truly immersive record. Crayon Soul is a thoroughly modern psychedelic record, but more than that, it’s a journey through space and sound back to our own collective childhoods.

Treading a similar path to Katie Melua, Georgian singer/songwriter Salio, has also been causing quite a stir with her soulful debut single ‘Wayside’ taken from her debut EP ‘Lost World’ released July 1st. The video for ‘Wayside’ premiered on The Telegraph and received very positive feedback throughout the country. The title track of the EP ‘Lost World’ is about growing up in a repressive place that offers little opportunity for a bright future.

Salio was spotted at the Black Sea Festival in the Republic of Georgia by producer Quint Davis, who organizes the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. He was so blown away by her performance that he invited her to perform at the festival. Once there, she wowed audiences of thousands and sang with jazz and gospel greats. Shortly afterwards, Salio was invited to perform at the Blue Note in New York, where she again received a standing ovation.

She won her first singing competition at the age of six, wrote her first song when she was 11, and was convinced that her singing talents would help her escape the awful poverty she was experiencing.

In Camera who is based in London, England.

Liam Browne & The Love who are based in Lancaster, England.

Currently creating a storm on the North West music scene and beyond, Liam Browne & The Love now release their new single Baby Grow taken from their album Forget & Remember.
Having already had a number of local radio stations playing their material, collaborations with Rowetta from The Happy Mondays, not to mention near death experiences, it is likely you will be hearing even more from Liam Browne & The Love in the weeks and months to come.
Further information on Liam Browne & The Love including details on how you can purchase their material as well as forthcoming gig dates can be found on their website www.liambrowneandthelove.com or you can follow them on Facebook and Twitter at www.facebook.com/liambrowneandthelove and www.twitter.com/LiamBrowneLOVE

The 2nd single taken from the highly anticipated debut album ‘Never’ is the big production number ‘My Ship’  -  A Bondesque power ballad that would fit perfectly into any 007 franchise where Welsh-songstress FFI would sit snugly alongside her fellow countrywomen Shirley Bassey.

To celebrate the release, Ffi and her incredible band of musicians, will be performing at London’s Venue 229 on 28th September which promises to be a gig NOT TO BE MISSED! The debut album features a stellar cast of musicians like no other, with guys who have graced the stage and studio with the likes of Peter Gabriel, Elvis Costello, Paulo Nutini, Barbara Streisand , Robbie Williams, Jamiroquai, Rod Stewart, Tina Turner, Eric Clapton, Ray Charles and Sir Tom Jones, to name but a few.

The first single ‘Take It Or leave It’ has been gracing UK and international airwaves for the past couple of months proving to be a real DJ and listener favourite. Other tracks from the album have been picked up by Jazz stations across the globe showing Ffi’s diversity and popularity amongst serious music lovers.
Born in Cardiff and adopted at 3 months old, Ffi was introduced to the piano at the age of 5 by her mother. Quickly learning to play by ear, she began writing her first songs at a very early age. Realising her obvious natural gift, her parents enrolled her in formal lessons and she was classically trained on both the piano and violin. She then progressed on to the saxophone and then the drums at the age of 10.

Despite having all this talent, Ffi was still essentially a grounded welsh tomboy. Wanting to find her voice she sang in chapel and at school, only to be told to sing quieter because her vice was so loud and deep! Thankfully, this never put her off and she took to singing just like all the other instruments presented to her.

At 14, she got a part on a Welsh TV drama and pursued a successful acting career appearing in a variety of dramas on TV and stage before progressing on to national and beyond. Her screen CV boasts playing the daughter of the late, great Philip Madoc in the hugely popular ‘A Mind To Kill’, along with roles in ‘Doctors’ and ‘Torchwood’.

Whilst being an actress, she continued to study her first love, music and went to Goldsmith’s College, University of London, and it was there that she started to work and perform with some of the biggest names in the business.

England by The National is being released by Irish chart-toppers The Young Folk as a song specially for the UK, ahead of their UK album release later in the year through the Pixie Pace/ARC Music label. England is currently playlisting on national Irish radio and has been given a big thumbs up by The National.

ir Shilton - Short bio:
Lir Shilton is a musician based in London, UK, born and raised in Ashkelon, Israel. In 2012 Lir had digitally released an EP titled ‘Director’s cut’. Later this year, she moved to the UK to pursue her art. She played in many venues such as ‘O2 Academy Islington’, ‘The Water Rats’, ‘Brixton Jamm’ and various radio stations across the UK. Lir is also a multi-instrumentalist. She plays many different instruments such as: Ukulele, Banjo, Kalimba, various flutes (Dizi, Ocarina, tin whistle and recorder), Guitar and Piano. She has recently finished working on her debut album, alongside John Cornfield (The Verve, Neil Halstead).

Her debut single ‘Flower’ has received many praises and was played in many radio stations, including BBC Radio Wales

BIO
Starseedz new single is quite simply an amazing song. Not often do songs like these come along. 'Miss U' was selected by
the FRESH ON THE NET team as a fresh fave some months ago and you can hear why.
This in turn led to radio play on BBC RADIO 6, Amazing Radio to name a few.

Recently signed to End of The Trail Records the duo from St Albans are surely just beginning a great run of singles if this one is anything to judge them by. Indie? Pop? Folk? Maybe its all those things. But a whole lot more.

Against the backdrop of an almost unlimited supply of music that is easier to get access to than ever before, cutting through the noise to find the bands truly worth listening to can be difficult. Surrey rockers Cavalier are one such band.

Following a storming tour, which saw the four piece blasting their way up and down the country, Cavalier have released brand new track 'Come Home'.
Check out 'Come Home' below-
 Cavalier    Come Home YouTube
Cavalier formed in January 2014, having met whilst studying at university. Since then the Surrey rockers have been playing shows relentlessly. Following the 2015 release of their debut EP 'Belief' (which was recorded with Chris Coulter - Arcane Roots, Jamie Lenman) Cavalier have continued to tour the UK and record relentlessly with their highly anticipated next single “Come Home” set to be released in July.

They personally describe themselves as 'boybandpunx', and their catchy, massive sounding pop/rock songs sit pleasingly alongside a high energy mentality and punky live show. In addition they have supported a range of prestigious acts such as Nothing but Thieves, The Pigeon Detectives, Twin Wild and The Carnabys.

Your next chance to catch Cavalier in the flesh will be on Saturday the 10th of September when they play the 10th anniversary of Butserfest alongside Mallory Knox, Young Guns, Moose Blood, Ashestoangels and many more.

If you're heading to Butserfest, make sure you check out this fantastic young band, because they're going all the way to the top!

Jamie Coupe - Vocals
Tom Macdonald Grute - Guitar/Vocals

NEW YORK ROCKERS 'THE SO SO GLOS' RETURN WITH A CALL TO ACTION!

‘DANCING INDUSTRY’ SINGLE TO BE RELEASED JULY 22nd, FOLLOWED BY NEW ALBUM ‘KAMIKAZE’ SEPTEMBER 2016 VIA VOTIV MUSIC

The So So Glos are a rare breed. A band fighting apathy, a band intent on distracting and inspiring a generation away from their phones and their screens, dragging them out onto the street, dancing, fucking and fighting for a future. Are you ready to testify?
Set to return to the fray this coming July 22nd with the release of their new single ‘Dancing Industry’, followed by new album ‘Kamikaze’ on September 9th through Votiv Music, the tracks were recorded with John Reis (Drive Like Jehu, Hot Snakes) and mixed by Mike Mogis (Bright Eyes, Rilo Kiley, Cursive), and features some of the Glos’ rawest song-writing yet. ‘Dancing Industry’ marks their comeback like a starter pistol fired at a high-adrenalin race. A rapid-fire snare roll signals the start of the song as the band jolt into a strutting punk rock call to arms that is both vital and alive.

“Dancing Industry’ is a call to action,” states vocalist and bassist Levi Zara Aleksander. “Calling kids of all ages, come out, come out wherever you are. Come from behind your screens, from out of the cupboard and onto the dance floor. Let’s take the humanity back and build a new army of empathic, peace seeking individuals. Let’s churn out this feeling in an assembly line like fashion. This ain’t a party we’re starting; it’s a movement that we’re blowing up.”

Being surrounded by the apathetic, plastic, too-cool attitude that permeated New York City’s underground of the early 2000’s changed the Glos bros’ (who are actually brothers) approach to punk rock forever. They were inspired not only to dive head-first into Brooklyn’s ethos-first scene of DIY all-ages spaces, but to write charged-up fight songs by prying open big questions about the society around them, and to write anti-establishment calls-to-action.
“That concept of self-awareness, acknowledging it in order to combat the problems you see in yourself and the world, is a theme that runs through a lot of our music and our message,” Aleksander continues, reflecting on the path to ‘Kamikaze’ — a path that has made the album all the more embedded with meaning.

On the forthcoming album, the follow-up to The So So Glos’ critically acclaimed ‘Blowout’ from 2013, the darks are darker, the lights are lighter, the loud louder and the quiet quieter. ‘Kamikaze’ is an album that finds the band narrowing its focus, kicking harder and faster, all serving to punctuate their subversive merging of sarcasm with sincerity, and spirituality with social awareness. “Kamikaze is about using our self-imposed weapon,” says Levi Zaru (Aleksander). “Which is music, which is art, which is freedom of expression, which is respect for the individual… all that is a weapon.”
As always, though, the members of The So So Glos – Levi Zaru (Aleksander, lead vocals, bass), Ryan Zaru Levi (guitar, backing vocals), Matt Lasser-Elkin (guitar), Zach Assa-el Staggers (drums) – have made a perfect party soundtrack, if your idea of partying involves screaming against the world of distractions and psychic destruction that surrounds us.

This year Evil Scarecrow are returning to the Main Stage at Bloodstock on Friday, theyve also got a brand new single which they will perform live for the very first time during their set and have partnered with Bloodstock to bring it to you as soon as its released. Dr Hell has this to say:

We really wanted to do something special for Bloodstock this year so weve fast tracked some music genius (*coughs*) from our upcoming album especially for the BOA fans, which will be available for free through the Bloodstock website! So, it should give you time to learn all of the ropey latin chanting that we crowbarred in-between some thunderstorm samples. Writing music is easy. Its another massive Scarecrow hit and we expect to see you all spinning on the spot for Hurricanado. Bloodstock will be the first time we have ever played the song live, so the dizzier you are the less obvious our mistakes will be."

Upcoming shows:
Friday 12th August, BLOODSTOCK OPEN AIR FESTIVAL, Derby
29th October, Corporation, Sheffield
26th November, Midlands Metal Crusade, Slade Rooms, Wolverhampton
23rd-26th March 2017, HRH United, Wales

Speed Autobahn's Fresh off the Press Thrilling New Single 'Live it Up'
A fresh, fast-paced and high-energy fusion of Electronica dance and Hip Hop reminiscent of artists Pitbull, Florida and Lupe Fiasco perfectly describes the fantastic new single by Speed Autobahn.

After the death of a close friend he was moved to create a song in his honour, taking inspiration from his friend's popular saying 'live everyday like it's your last' he named the track 'Live it Up'.

“To hear him say, “I don’t do music for the hood, I do music for the world,” had me hype and if you know me you know I don’t need extra energy, but that’s what you feel through his music, energized!!!”

- Shelneka Adams, empire radio magazine

“ I never thought he could combine the styles of EDM and Hip Hop and Take it somewhere past were Pitbull has taken it, no disrespect to Pitbull, but a younger and newer wave”

-  Jay “the Great” Gatsby, The Royal Takeover Radio Show

Currently living in Manhattan, Speed Autobahn has been driving audiences so wild that both men and women have ripped their shirts off as they danced and raved. Performing in some of New York's most famous venues such as Harlem Shrine, Santos House Party, Brooklyn's Paperbox and also Fame Festival in Atlanta, he was introduced to the rapper Fat Joe earlier this year who encouraged him to aim for the skies with his art, saying “your friends and family are not your fans, focus on creating music that people from all over can appreciate and love”. He is close friends with punk rock band Danny Switchblade, who produced some of his material as well going on tour with him.

In addition to this, he has been featured on the award winning YouTube web series "Ghetto Nerd Girl". Speed Autobahn seems set to tear his way up through the music industry.

Info

Rumjacks; it’s out the gate and straight down to business.

Recorded at Bomba Studios in regional Victoria, Sleepin’ Rough, the Sydney quintet’s third album, picks up where 2015’s Sober & Godless left off. Booming from the get-go with ‘Patron Saint Of Thieves’, a thundering punk aesthetic intertwined through the group’s Irish and Scottish musical heritage, this album is full throttle, all spit and bile, raucous and real.

But don’t make the mistake of thinking The Rumjacks are just an angry bunch of punks. Far from it – their music, while hard and fast for the most part, carries with it an element of fun and frivolity, harking back to their Old Country roots, places where music is an integral part of community gathering, soundtracking the times with an almost savage joy.

“There’s drinking music, and then there is the Rumjacks, who are pre-drinks, the party, the after-party, the blurry ride home and the hangover all rolled into one.” – BLUNT MAGAZINE
And this is Sleepin’ Rough. The melodic ‘A Fistful O’ Roses’, the acoustic ‘Les Darcy’, the ska-esque ‘Kathleen’, all carry a cheeky bonhomie, sometimes belying their subject matter, but always bringing a smile, a head-nod, a foot-tap. These tracks sit tidily alongside flat-out punk (‘Dead To Me’, ‘Zielona Gora’), and the band’s now trademark mixture of the two.

Stories of life, love and loss, set to a throbbing beat.

Sleepin’ Rough sees The Rumjacks in career best form.

Tyler Rivers who is based in Sydney, Australia.

Originally from the UK, Tyler Rivers moved out to Sydney for 6 months as an overseas cricketer but ended up signing to an independent label instead.
Having released his first single Fool For You to much widespread airplay and critical acclaim, Tyler Rivers now returns with his new track Running From The Sun which was produced by Sean Carey from the popular Australian band Thirsty Merc.
Quoted as having great melodic hook lines and driving guitars, you can find out more information on Tyler Rivers including details on how you can purchase his new single, on his website www.facebook.com/tylerriversofficial or you can follow him on Twitter at www.twitter.com/tyler_rivers93

Erin Kinsey is the freshest youngster bringing back the banjo to the scene. Her brand new single 'Waiting List' is a piece of pure country art. Opening with punchy guitars with rhythmic drums gives this track an immediate hook and not forgetting her outstanding vocals accompanied with adept lyrics which make 'Waiting List' one that should not be forgotten.

Erin and her band have been wowing audiences in Texas and Nashville while playing solo shows and songwriter rounds at the historic Bluebird Cafe. Music industry veterans such as Tom Jackson, Brett Manning, Clay Mills, Tony Taylor, Trisha Walker Cunningham and Victoria Shaw who are working to further develop her talents and artistry.

Over the past few years Erin Kinsey has been perfecting her craft under the tutelage of some of the biggest names in music. “Her voice is a technical marvel” says vocal coach Brett Manning (Taylor Swift, Hayley Williams), and her instrumentalism has already earned her the recognition as an official artist of Taylor Guitars, Warrior Instruments, and Deering Banjos. Erin made her European debut and performed at the annual Country to Country Festival in London, England at The O2 Arena.

Expect big things from Erin Kinsey in 2016, as she is one young-musician not to be overlooked.

 Back Delta is:

Joe Kelly - Vocals & Rhythm
Rob Duncan - Lead Guitar
Phil Davies - Bass
Steve Roberts - Drums

Don’t get them wet, keep them out of bright lights, and never feed them after midnight…

Formed in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire - Welcome Back Delta are a dynamic four piece rock outfit that ooze infectiously sexy sounds. They emerged onto the local scene in 2011, into the bosom of Cheltenham’s less regent establishments. It didn’t take long for word to spread that a dirtier, blues groove had arrived in town.

Likened to the catchy beats of The Black Keys, and akin to legendary acts such as Deep Purple and Clutch, Welcome Back Delta have been slowly spreading their own naughty twist of rock and roll over the country.

The years have seen WBD survive several national tours whilst supporting massive artists such as Clutch, Nick Oliveri’s Death Acoustic Tour, And So I Watch You From Afar, Lionize, and Karma to Burn.

In 2014 their first album ‘Shocker’ was released with great feedback. 2016 will see the release of their second album – ‘Sucker’.

Their live shows provide an impressive set, full of energy, great humour and a timeless love for hard blues rock. Darting from mellow to metal, and every hook in between.

Heartfelt, uplifting genius,” is a complement the humble Browlin feels uncomfortable with, but Tastemakers and fans alike agree that his incredible Wild West / Indie Funk is both “captivatingly personal” and “beautifully melodic.”

As he put the final touches to his new album, ‘‘To the Border!’, he looked up at his most prized possessions - a Platinum & Silver disc hanging on his studio wall. “I’m hoping to make it a trio with this new album,” he says.

“Record of the Week” Radio 2

“Gets even better with every listen” Lauren Laverne, 6 Music

“I’m loving this” Huw Stephens, Radio 1

“My record of the week” Mark Radcliffe, Radio 2, 6 Music

“Get your ears round this! Love the sound!” Shaun Keaveny, 6 Music

“Really love this” Stuart Maconie, Radio 2, 6 Music

Browlin delivers a powerful combination of passionate vocals and haunting harmonica with latin rhythms. Live he performs with Chilean virtuoso guitarist Fez Sanchez. In a previous life, Oliver Brown aka Browlin was engineer and studio manager at Skint, where he gained Top 40 credits, hit 2m views on YouTube and was part of the incredible success of artists such as Fatboy Slim. His latest moniker Browlin heralds a new direction as he lets go his electronic past to deliver an eclectic album full of “rhythmic emotion”.

His previous work gained widespread critical acclaim from both Tastemakers and multi-million selling artists, with airplay across all major stations including Radio 2, Radio 1, BBC 6 Music and Radio X as well as soundtracks to TV, film and theatre.

Like his genre-breaking contemporary Mark Ronson, Browlin’s inspiration draws from vintage styles and combines them with pioneering production, giving us large helpings of Ennio Morricone, a dash of Johnny Cash and a side of organic Hot Chip.

Destined to amass universal praise like his previous projects, Browlin is the name on the lips of every music industry aficionados and touted as a potential winner of this year’s Mercury Music Prize.

Treading a similar path to Katie Melua, Georgian singer/songwriter Salio, is also causing quite a stir with her soulful debut single ‘Lost World’ taken from her debut EP ‘Lost World’ released July 1st. This is a track about overcoming difficulties of the past and looking ahead to a brighter future.  The track is lifted from her forthcoming album, due out later this year.

Salio was spotted at the Black Sea Festival in the Republic of Georgia by producer Quint Davis, who organizes the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. He was so blown away by her performance that he invited her to perform at the festival.  Salio managed to get the Ministry of Culture to pay for her trip to the US.  Once there, she wowed audiences of thousands, and sang with jazz and gospel greats. Shortly afterwards, Salio was invited to perform at the Blue Note in New York, where she again received a standing ovation.

She won her first singing competition at the age of six, wrote her first song when she was 11, and was convinced that her singing talents would help her escape the awful poverty she was experiencing.

Salio says, "This song is about some of the problems we face as humans in this world today.  I think that if you show some kindness where little or none exists, you have the power to change people's lives and then they, in turn, have the power to help other people too.”

A humble individual with a big heart, Salio has to be the most exciting discovery of 2016.

Gabz' video for her first track of her debut EP (both named 'Up' - single out 5th August/EP Sept 2nd) has just gone live on her Vevo account:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YwwpU6IImDA

21-year-old Italian-born pop singer Andrea Di Giovanni delivers another fun and equally heart-wrenching single straight off his new EP Soultrip.

As the singer explains: ‘Hold Me Once More’ is the first song I ever wrote in English, 3 years ago. It talks about the relationship between me and my dad during my childhood and the lack of love and communication I perceived within it.
In the lyrics of this tune I am quite straight forward, telling him what I have been through, which I never had the courage to do in person’

The single follows Andrea’s previous emotive electro-pop single ‘I’ll Take Care of Myself’.

Both tracks will appear on the singer’s new EP Soultrip, which tackles an array of personal topics such as Andrea’s relationship with his father, exploring his bisexuality, as well as overcoming his experiences with vitiligo.

‘As the title explains’ states Andrea, ‘it’s a journey into the deepest corners of my soul, starting with the relationship with my dad, going into the very first time I fell in love with a guy, to my first experience in a gay relationship to the relationship with my ex best friend (actual girlfriend now). The progression of concepts for the EP is: absence, lust, apathy, awareness and resolution.’

‘Hold Me Once More’ was released on June 15th

After a full year and a half off the scene preceded by lengthy touring, the now three-piece UK Rock Band return their new single “Glory Days” (Released August 15th) - the first single from their long awaited debut LP, coming November.

King Canute formed on the mean streets of Harlow, Essex - where you either join a gang or join a band, After touring since early 2012 as a two-piece, Bassist/Singer Jon Lett and Drummer Chris Woollams recruited Guitarist Lee Royston to make the loud louder.

“Glory Days” is a no noise stomping rock number reminiscent of a punkier Queens of the Stone Age, a punchier Foo Fighters, and a more melodic Bring Me The Horizon. With its swirling etherial guitars which break into a heavy grooving track, “Glory Days” is punctuated with Jon Lett’s scathing vocals - telling the story of feeling lost in life, something we can all relate to at one point or another.

Pete Gardiner-

It’s been a whirlwind year, but despite the heady experience, our young Irish crooner is never too proud to rock up to an empty pub and whip out his guitar. His third single release ‘Pretty Smiles’ is perhaps his most accomplished to date and an exciting indication of the album to follow.
A stunning video and superb production, ‘Pretty Smiles’ really has the potential to help set Pete apart as a supremely talented singer songwriter. It’s a pure sing along pop song, with heart, melody and a chorus that catches you and doesn’t let go.

Lyrically clever, Pete is a songsmith through and through. There’s an air of a young James Dean about him and this love of retro inspired the ‘Pretty Smiles’ video that narrates the story of a young bartender who falls in love with a ghost, using images reminiscent of 50’s Film Noir.

While on a movie theme, Pete’s recent collaboration with Pól Brennan will see them both performing music from a new film ‘Property of The State’ at the Rowing Club in Galway on July 6th, immediately after the premiere at Galway Film Fleadh.
Pete will then be returning to Newtownards (Belfast) for a homecoming gig on Saturday 9th.  The film is a powerful drama based on the true story of a young woman dealing with the devastating effects of having a murderer for a brother.

Pól Brennan composed the full score while the lyrics for the title track, ‘From Over The River,’ were written and performed by Pete.

Pete‘s forthcoming debut album featuring ‘Pretty Smiles’ and his previous releases ‘All These Things’ and ‘Idols’ is produced by award winning Irish producer Tommy McLaughlin (Villagers/ Soak), and is due for release later this year. ‘Pretty Smiles’ has been remixed by Ash Howes.

Well, it's been an amazing journey for ASYLUMS over the past 2 years. From DIY outsiders to being one of Annie Mac's 'NEW NAMES' on BBC Radio 1.... and now it's nearly time for their Debut Album 'KILLER BRAIN WAVES' which is being released on July 29th via COOL THING RECORDS.

To lead us to the debut album, here we have the brand new single 'SECOND CLASS SEX' for your listening pleasure... and it's a perfect 2 minute rocking number!

singer/songwriter Lewis Murphy. His brand new EP ‘Lighthouse’ features his magnificent new single 'Caught Up With You'.

Nottingham band ‘For The Girl’.

The guys are about to go on tour and the single release, ‘Where Did Time Go’ is at the end of July. The video is a great pop visual!

Marylise’ is Charlyn’s promising first single from her upcoming debut EP. The Swiss singer/songwriter who is now based in London portrays an eclectic mix of Indie Pop and 80’s elements with this first effort. Charlyn perfectly complements the rising popularity of female electro-pop vocals, in a similar vein to Chvrches or Brighton’s Fickle Friends.

When interviewed about the single, Charlyn described it as “a summery pop song, telling the story of a woman pretending to have ‘the perfect life’, however wanting to escape and live the life of someone else.”

Although Charlyn is a solo musician, the chemistry between the singer and her band (Robin, George and Thomas) is undeniably audible; having met her co-performers whilst studying at the British & Irish Modern Music Institute in 2012. The upcoming EP- recorded in London- explores intimate subjects, such as love and human stories, all set to rhythmic and spacious 80s-pop beats.

After having graced the stages of renowned London venues such as Bush Hall, Under the Bridge and 02 Academy Islington, as well playing shows in Paris and Switzerland, Charlyn is now set to take Western Europe by storm over the summer; with four performances in London and appearances in Switzerland already confirmed!

The EP release show will take place on the 15th of June at The Half Moon in Putney, London – 8pm.
