Ben Jordan can best be classified as a 21st century bard, or a modern troubadour. For years Ben has traveled, listening, learning & playing.

His new album is released this spring and you can hear the lead album track Sweetest

His voyage has taken him to several musical hot beds (including New York City, Nashville, New Orleans, San Francisco, Boulder, CO, London, Dublin & Prague) where he had the privilege of befriending some rising stars, and established vets, including Derek Trucks, Soulive, Adam MacDougall (The Black Crowes & Chris Robinson Brotherhood) The Slip, Warren Haynes, Kelly Joe Phelps, Adam Levy (Norah Jones), JJ Grey, Brad Rice (Ryan Adams, Son Volt & Keith Urban), Don DiLego, Johnny Pisano (Jesse Malin & Ryan Adams) Gregory Alan Isakov, Eric Ness, Sam Green & the Midnight Heist, Willie and the Bandits and Rob Fleming of Crowd Company.

2010 saw the release of his critically acclaimed “Ghosts Breathing through Our Strings” and a year long tour of the U.S.. The end of this tour brought an exciting change as Ben journeyed across the Atlanticfor the first time to tour. Little did he know his life would be changed forever by this decision. Arriving in his ancestral homeland of Ireland, Ben immediately fell into the Wicklow music scene. This lead to an invitation to play Americana Weekend two years running, where Ben has flourished, entertaining the crowd with his original road songs.

At this point, the story veers into the realm of the improbable and seasoned by the highly unlikely, but nonetheless true!

Due to a series of mis-communications, Ben found himself stranded in the UK, with no gigs, no money and nowhere to live. This time period also saw the loss of his musical mentor and dear friend Travis Charbeneau. Retreating to Cornwall, he rebuilt his life, note-by-note, song-by-song, gig-by-gig. Currently settled in the Southwest of England, Ben has been electrifying audiences throughout, Ireland, the UK and Europe with a newfound optimism, born from hardship and hard won wisdom. He has taken this new outlook from the streets of England’s West Country to the stages of the Isle of Wight Festival and Hop Farm festival and all manner of venues in between.

Some include a residency at London’s Proud Camden, tenure with the Lantern Society ,Quay Arts Acoustic Originals, getting radio play on the BBC and being requested by the Alabama 3 themselves to provide support for them. Recently Ben has signed with IRL Records, home to Damien Dempsey, the Wonder Stuff and many other great artists. His first release with them is slated for the beginning of 2015.

Thankful for and humbled by the friends he’s made and the folks he’s met, he continues to bring his passion and songs to the people, building a loyal following, town-by-town, show-by-show. While he will always be learning and honing his craft, on guitar, as a songwriter and as a vocalist. The time has come for Ben to step into a larger arena and share his considerable gifts.

“Unbreakable” is James’ first release in the UK which reached No. 1 in the Austrian “Most Requested Chart” and spent over 6 months in the national top 40 and was nominated as Song of the Year at the Amadeus Awards.  “ Unbreakable” is released on 16th March.

James is available for interviews so please let me know if you would like a chat with him.

PADDY CLEGG

‘Let's Get By'

The boy can sing, his melodies hit you where it hurts and his urgent sense of rhythm suggests lyrics and chords are written between tweets and snap chats. In other words, hes the sound of right now." - Alan O'hare (Liverpool Echo Mersey Blogs)

"His songs are fresh and honest. They grab the attention of the listener and in one of his songs 'Have You Ever Wondered?', you have a song that screams out, take me home and play me till the neighbours politely suggest that you might have an addiction problem." - Ian D Hall (Sound & Vision)

Dropping his drumsticks for an acoustic guitar 2 years ago was one of the best decisions Liverpool lad Paddy Clegg has made. Since then he has been winning the hearts of audiences both locally around the UK. Now the 18 year old is set to unleash his new single Let's Get By.

Since the release of his debut single Back to the Start Paddy has received support from the likes of 6Music, BBC Merseyside & Getintothis. Clegg's latest offeringLet's Get By, has already been receiving massive support with Tom Robinson praising the track over at 6music.

Paddy's sound has drawn comparisons to The La's and Jake Bugg, yet he retains his own musical identity and is making a name for himself through his hugely accomplished musical compositions which belie his youth. Due for release next month, Let's Get By is bound to get audiences going across the country! www.facebook.com/paddy.clegg     www.twitter.com/paddy_cleggpaddycleggofficial.c

The Constant State
2 March 2015
NYC psych dream-gazers MALKA set to release debut EP The Constant State

New York City-based psychedelic dreampop band MALKA will officially release their debut EP, The Constant State, on March 2, 2015. Recorded at both APT Studio (NYC) and Elohino studio (NJ), mixed by Darko Saric, and mastered at 825 Studios by Grammy Award-winning engineer Butch Jones (Madonna, Talking Heads, Iggy Pop, The Gun Club, B-52s)The Constant State takes listeners on a genre-melding journey, ebbing and flowing through the realms of dreampop, post-rock, nugaze, and psychedelic rock.

The songs are evocative both musically and lyrically, touching on metaphysical, existential and interpersonal subject matter with an honesty that resonates to an emotional core. Their music is a reflection of the triumph and tragedy of the world, compelling us to look deeper into the realms of our consciousness. Malka is trying to stretch the concept of songs to make them sound more like emotional lapses of time.

The vocal melodies assume an instrumental form and transcend language, adding transparency to bilingual Spanish-English lyrics shared between three lead vocalists.

The Constant State is available on Bandcamp and will also be available as a digital release in iTunes and streaming through Spotify, Rdio, etc.

JUNIORS

Robot Needs Home
20 April 2015
JUNIORS are an Indie Pop quartet formed in Leicester. Technically adept, they're capable of producing both furiously urgent and hypnotically dreamy Indie Rock featuring distorted guitars, complex melodies, uplifting vocals and pounding drums.

Following the conveniently timed demise of previous band projects, school friends Jamie Hives (vocals/guitar), Jake Tasker (bass) and William bond(drums) put together new project JUNIORS in 2013, later asking Daniel Lee to complete the lineup on guitar in 2014.

Singles 'We Swim' and 'Declare & Surrender' gained the attention and airplay of BBC Introducing shows across the country, securing the band a slot at Reading & Leeds 2014 and airplay on BBC Radio 1s Jen and Ally show.

Dubbed by the BBC as 'Future Stars', new single 'Elusion', taken from their new EP 'Barcelona' is set to raise the band's profile even higher throughout 2015.

Guest-Still the Mind

Bio -Still The Mind are a four-piece Rock band from Newton Abbot, Devon.

The band consists of:
Matt Palfreman - Vocals, Rhythm Guitar
Karl O'Neill - Lead Guitar
Joe Warriner - Bass
Phil Hallwood - Drums

The band formed in late 2012 under the name 'Soulshine' when Matt decided to give up the Hampshire singer-songwriter circuit and move home, longtime friend Joe had recently left his Reggae band and was looking to start a new project, the two started writing songs together and eventually convinced Phil to join on drums after performing at a local open mic night. The trio were later joined by Karl in early 2013 to complete the lineup.
The band has developed a local following and survived a 6 month departure from Joe, who later decided to return. It was during this absence that the band realised they all relied heavily on each other in the creation of their sound. Upon Joe's return the band changed it's name to 'Still The Mind', named after a book on meditation by Alan Watts, a philosopher and writer that they are all heavily influenced by.
Still The Mind continues to grow and evolve their own unique sound..

About

Formed in April 2012, Eurasianeyes are a synth duo consisting of long-time friends Mel Bell and Paul Russell. Due to favourable fan responses from their YouTube releases, that following year the band produced their debut EP, “Silent Cries”. They have developed their own style of classic synth music with a modern twist. A mixture of strong synth arpeggio’s along with electronic bass lines, addictive melodies and powerful vocals make Eurasianeyes an exciting prospect within the current synth scene

Sound Production

Mel and Paul are both actively involved in writing the Eurasianeyes tracks. They described the development and production of the tracks as a “team effort”. To date they have worked with producer Geoff Pinckney who mixes and adds additional production to the tracks.

Reviews

The Electricity Club (TEC) recently wrote a piece introducing Eurasianeyes. They quoted:

“EURASIANEYES are definitely on the right road to making a name for themselves. Having shown consistency with their music and utilised classic monochromatic imagery to promote their brand, they are certainly an act to watch out for”.

Us & We
Mono
6 April 2015

Lead Tracks: Lanterns, Sunday

Jordan Doverspike, Evan Doverspike and Aaron Doverspike are brothers based in California who write and perform captivating dream pop they describe as "clean and unadulterated".

Their EP, the beautifully atmospheric 'Mono' was recorded in their home studio and produced by Chad Marshman over the course of several weeks.  Taking a collaborative approach, the brothers found that some tracks came more easily than others, but the advantage of recording from a home studio meant that they could act immediately whenever inspiration struck.

'Mono' is a fluid collection of songs featuring enigmatic sounds and vocal harmonies that ebb and flow, with each track differing in tone.  The upbeat opening track 'Lanterns' is perfectly juxtaposed with the ethereal and climactic 'Sunday'. Third track 'Free is ominously somber whereas closing track 'Alive' ends the EP on an optimistic note.

"This seraphs song envelops us with a sense so cold it burns."
Danny Davenport

like cleansing your ears with a new sound that wipes away the stress. Its cryptic, its atmospheric, its quite fantastic, to be honest.
CityScope Blog

Sunday is a lush synth-driven glide with a nifty modern take on some soft-focus 80s production. Call it chillwave, call it synthwave, call it what you want, itll still sooth your soul just as well whichever way.
Record Rewind Play

"Wondrous and dreamy synth-pop with exceptional vocals so mirage-like in quality that your perceptions will be happily bewildered."
Raw Ramp

ABOUT THE 2UBE:

There is still a shortage of live music on our terrestrial screens so something like The 2Ube live from LIPA is a fabulous idea, not only does it give the students real industry skills in producing live Television but also offers a platform for emerging music to get seen by a wider audience"
Dave Monks, BBC Radio Merseyside

Brand new ShadowIcon EP is more than

‘Smoke & Mirrors’

Innovative double CD release features a 2nd CD of instrumental versions out March 16th

Born and raised in Slovenia, ShadowIcon are a six piece melodic metal band with a heavy impact and a compelling lead female vocalist. Taking elements from metal and thrash, but marrying them to a tuneful vocal and a great appreciation for a stylish groove, the  band serve up a potent blend of heaviness on new EP ‘Smoke and Mirrors’.

Their previous album ‘Empire in Ruins’ picked up excellent reviews around Europe and the US, now they’re back with a brand new EP totalling six epic songs, plus instrumental/karaoke versions so fans can sing along at home.

For a taste of what ShadowIcon are all about, check out their moody video for EP track ‘If I Was the One’ which is out on March 9th.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A6DBqpK6Maw

Mixed and mastered by Charlie Bauerfeind and Thomas Geiger (Helloween, Blind Guardian). Designed to build on the new, melodic metal sound of the debut album, the songs are a fusion of different tastes and styles from the band’s three songwriters, all blending into great cocktail of pounding drums, searing guitars and piercing vocals.

With over 50,000 fans already on Facebook, this is a band who have already come a long way. And, judging by this EP, there’s nothing that can stop them any time soon.

The ‘Smoke and Mirrors’ EP is out March 16th.

King Kartel reanimate the glory days of The Jam & The Libertines. Many bands have tried that trick before, but theres something highly appealing about the Manchester bands efforts
RADAR - NME MAGAZINE

Released on CD and as a digital download 'Come At Me Now' is the highly anticipated new single from King Kartel, a band renowned for their infectious indie-infused rock.

Formed in September 2012, King Kartel wasted no time in taking the UK and Ireland by storm through a successful tour to support the release of their debut single Stone Cold Killer, which has now racked up an impressive 29,000 views on Youtube.

The quartet, mainly hailing from Northern Ireland quickly caught the attention of Riggsy from the BBCs Across the Line who gave Stone Cold Killer plenty of airplay, heralding them as hometown heroes, a claim justified by a string of sold out shows in and around Newry.
Riggsy describes the band as having an eye for a hook! and Philly Taggart from BBC Radio 1 says King Kartel produce cheeky guitar pop in the vein of The Fratellis and The Courteeners.

'Come At Me Now' prove the King Kartel aren't afraid to embrace their pop sensibilities which combine with their indie rock sound to create a storming single which is set to raise the profile of the Manchester based band even higher.
