indie/rock trio from Gateshead. Formed in 2013 by John Aspinall (formerly of Dead Miles), Barry Drew and Carl Aspinall.
last year they have been working hard on writing original songs and have gigged often around Newcastle/Gateshead area, supporting some touring bands, while gaining positive feedback in regards to the structure and tight purposeful sound. In some recent demo reviews it has been said they have similarities to Biffy Clyro, Frank Turner, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and Weezer.
They recorded a 4 track demo in August 2014, which have received very positive feedback. Also it has had significant radio airplay on various radio stations worldwide.
due back in the studio the first weekend in January, where we will be recording our first single. So look out for details on that. 2015 certainly promises to be a big year for the band.

Buxaburn (aka Warbux) is a Hip Hop recording artist from Santa Ana, CA, promoting his new album: Buxaburn "The Distance". Produced by Bo'kem Allah. Bux has been recording since 1992, and its evident to see, experience has done him well. The seasoned veteran, is heavily influenced by Reggae, Funk, Rock n Roll, Blues and Soul. Once being a member of a Rock Band, and a Gangster Rap Group at the same time, makes Bux a very dynamic, socially aware, and street-smart artist. One who blesses the music with message, but manages to have fun at the same time. You will hear multiple styles of MC'ing, and a very high level of skill, energy, and delivery, when tuning into Buxaburn.
The first single and video off the LP "The Distance" is entitled: Buxaburn "Skeleton Walk" feat. Bo'kem Allah. Frazey Ford, best known as the lead voice of beloved alt-folk band The Be Good Tanyas, returns with her second solo effort, Indian Ocean (October 27) -- a lush album filled with songs about pain and dealing with tough truths, but also about love, contrition and being bold. Part of what gives Indian Ocean its gilded edge is the work of Al Green’s band, The Hi Rhythm Section, the iconic architects of the famous singer's instrumental sound. There's affirmation in its 11 songs, as Ford's self-possession and passion puts flesh to the musical bones.
On the follow up to 2010’s critically acclaimed Obadiah, Ford unleashes an unbridled full-throated ebullience that takes listeners down to where the soul rivers run deep. The Hi Rhythm Section, Charles Hodges (organ), Leroy Hodges (bass) and Teenie Hodges (guitar), the latter who recently passed away, helped Al Green pen some of his most famous songs. Ford is the beneficiary of their almighty talents, the trio accentuating her sensual and opulent vocals with deep-bottomed bass, subtle backbeats, and airy flights of organ. They're joined by the golden horn arrangements and the undulating tides of Debra Jean Creelman and Caroline Ballhorn's backing vocals that kick off the restless but hopeful album opener, "September Fields." John Raham, Frazey’s creative partner and co-producer, brings his considerable talents helping to create the album’s delicate musical balance. Indian Ocean was recorded, mixed and mastered between Memphis’ historic Royal Studios and Vancouver’s Afterlife Studios.
“It was an amazing feeling being in that studio, singing into those old microphones, and collaborating with these incredibly talented heroes of subtle groove and soul. I could feel the history and vibe of that place coming up through the floor,” Ford says.
The album is dedicated to the memory of Teenie Hodges.
Phil is a contemporary singer/songwriter who has earned excellent reviews from the national press, with his thought provoking songwriting and energetic, often unpredictable live performances drawing comparisons to Neil Finn, Glenn Tilbrook and Ben Folds.
Having been the frontman for The Haiku for 6 years, 2012 saw him go it alone, and play a host of solo shows, including highly successful support slots for Mark Morriss (The Bluetones) and Dave McPherson (InMe). During his live shows, he makes a real connection with the crowd, often starting and finishing the shows entirely unplugged and shunning the stage to stand right in among the captivated audience.
2014 saw the release of his solo album “Half Live”. Wanting to capture the feel of his live show on a studio recording, Phil recorded two live shows and took them in to the studio to add a few little extras. The result is an album which revels in the rawness of a live concert, but still presents the songs the way Phil hears them in his head!

Old House Playground is a two piece contemporary blues/folk band with roots in the Greek folk songwriting culture.
In 2009, Tryfon Lazos (voice, guitars) and Andreas Venetantes(drums, percussion) moved from Athens to Manchester to indulge in new musical paths and forms of expression. Soon after that, they started hanging out with producer / musician Chris Evans, with whom they would record their first album God Damn That Gold. The album was released in June 2012 by the independent label Evening Economies / Fat Bob Records. The release was followed by an extended tour around UK pubs, clubs and cool little venues.
By the end of 2013, the production team Sugar Houseapproached the band, offering them to produce their next recordings. This collaboration would lead to four new songs, which will be released in the near future.
In May 2014 Old House Playground performed with Vini Reillyand the Durutti Column at Chorlton’s Arts Festival, hosted by Dave Haslam.
Autumn 2014 finds the band working on the music for a film documentary entitled “The Road to Sparta”. Directed and produced by Barney Spender, the film centers around a 246 km ultra marathon. The film will be released in spring 2015.

Returning with the final release from their ‘Losing All My Friends’ EP, British alternative/indie- rock trio ‘Monster Jaw’announce the arrival of their atmospheric art house mini-film ‘Lidocaine’ video single.
