South Wales /South West indie rockers, ‘Crystal Balloon’ have announced the release of their latest single ‘The Wheel’, taken from their upcoming debut EP ‘Hurricane’ due out later this year. Recorded over four months, the new single was produced by the legendary producer George Shilling (Blur, Primal Scream, Frank Turner ,Ocean Colour Scene ), which the band cited as an incredible experience.
Comprising of Jack Stanton on vocals and lead guitar, Erik Karvik on drums and Tim Burden on guitar and bass, the band drew influences from many different genres, resulting in a mixture of Brit rock and heartfelt singer/songwriter storytelling. Written by Jack himself, the tracks lyrics reflects the feeling of anticipation, wanting to leave an undesirable situation in search of something new.
The single features the band's signature gritty guitar riffs, pleasing vocal harmonies and catchy hooks, which is sure to become a fan favourite.
‘The Wheel’ is set to be released on 4th July ahead of numerous live appearances throughout the coming months, and ahead of the release of their debut EP ‘Hurricane’. More details and live dates can be found on the band's social media pages. https://www.facebook.com/crystalballoon
