from London. their new single "Lose Control" that will be officially released on October 9th.
Their debut LP Drowning in History, released through UK indie label Squirrel Records in 2009, led to an extensive European tour in 2010 which won the band a huge following but came at a cost. Then a couple, Romana and Drew split up in Paris, the City of Love, an experience that became the inspiration for their critically acclaimed EP Amour Tragique, a collection of five songs about love and loss.
Latest single Pretty People written by Romana Ashton, produced by the band and mixed by James Aparicio (Spiritualized and Mute Records) offers an insight into the direction of the album that the duo are currently writing. On one level Pretty People is about cliques and their sense of self-importance, and on another, is a caustic social commentary about our cultures fascination with the trivial, celebrity, gossip and fame by proxy.
A video for the single will be released on the 12th of October to coincide with the official release of the track to the public.
The Sunday Reeds will plan to tour Europe in 2016.
About 'Amour Tragique'
The Sunday Reeds obviously have an innate understanding of the spontaneous and combustible nature of rock n roll as they produce music which exudes an effortless uncontrived cool and a dangerous seductive swagger.
Andy Von Pip, The Von Pip Musical Express, September 2014
The Sunday Reeds skillfully combine the most exciting elements of rock n roll to create lyrically rich, infectiously melodic songs with a sound distinctly their own. The obvious comparisons are to Debbie Harry, Cher and Chrissie Hynde but Romana Ashton is her own woman with an amazing voice. Bearly Rambling review, September 2014
Amour Tragique is a sterling EP showcasing a band in full command of their strengths and paves the way for impressive future releases.
Matt Reiner of The Dunes, B-Side Magazine, Adelaide, September 2014
The Sunday Reeds remind me of the Bands from The CBGBs days. Romana has that Blondie meets Nico meets Chrissie thing going on and just enough punk attitude to pull it off , not an easy feat, what a
cool voice! Drew plays the guitar like Thurston, a weapon to release some rock n roll energy
50thirdandthird feature and interview, April 2015
About the single Jean-Luc from Amour Tragique:
Jean Luc is a superb piece of rocknroll pop noir from Melbournes The Sunday.bristling blues scales and wholesome 60s pop. Its rich and lush, dark andpoised, ominously teetering on the edge of an emotional immersive collapse but allthe while musically tight.
And So She Thinks review, September 2014
Weve seen a lot of new artists trying to blur the lines between shoegaze and grunge, but they never produce anything that really stands out as signalling a return to Grunge. But if anything is going to give us that signal, its Jean-Luc by Australias The Sunday Reeds. Its a total grunge powerhouse of a track, from a band who describe themselves as Shirley Manson fronting The Rolling Stones. We couldnt have put it
better ourselves.

Formed in 2014 in the Midlands, Interrobang have set to create a new alternative, grunge tinted sound, full of depth, dirt and power.
With the amount of alternative influences in the mix the band have already been credited as having created a fresh new sound that holds a torch to their influences, including: Pearl Jam, Faith No More, Soundgarden, RHCP and Melvins.
Live Reviews:
Smashmouthmetal.co.uk:
Second up were grunge quartet Interrobang, who put on a great performance, gnarly guitar work, melodic vocals and a bass line worthy of a Rage Against the Machine notation, carried the show though with an exceptional display of their alternative stylings.
Music224.com:
It was a sad day indeed when Diamond Lil called it a day but I secretly hoped that it wouldn’t be too long before Ellis Wilde picked up the mic again and set about launching a new era and I’m exceptionally chuffed to say that Interrobang are well and truly launched! Describing themselves as sitting within the grunge and alternative rock vein doesn’t quite cover it in my book, as the music that Interrobang have created for themselves delivers a far greater appeal especially when you take into account the melodic snazzy skills of guitar maestro, Sam Rutter. Great performance from Interrobang tonight and I’m looking forward to catching many more!
The dates we have booked up so far are:
13th Sep (B'ham)
10th Oct (Tamworth)
5th December (Dudley)
19th December (B'ham)

Dubbed as one of London's most exciting electronic soul singers, Project Alfie is set to release his new single 'Your Call' this October.
Having already made a name for himself in the world of pop, R'n'B, and soul, Project Alfie has worked with some of the best artists and producers both in the UK and US. Collaborating with Peanut (Amy Winehouse, Back To Black), DJ Fresh, Sway UK, Cores (Professor Green and Emilee Sande), and Sean C & LV (Jay Z American Gangster) to name a few.
Recording his latest album with renowned Swedish Producer Tobias Kampe Flygare, the young singer/songwriter is raring to get his music out on the scene.
He describes himself as a hybrid of electro and 80s soul, and in our post broadband super saccharine society where pop clones defile ‘three chords and the truth’ Project Alfie is a rare thing; combining soulful vocals and lyrics with complex and intricate production.

The Chadelics are a young Brit-Rock quartet from Cumbria who combine the essence of Punk with swirling jangly guitars and pop sensibilities. Led by vocalist and songwriter Joe Mansergh, the band have already earned the attention of BBC Radio 1's Huw Stevens and BBC Radio 6 Music's Steve Lamacq, securing airplay on both shows, as well as being championed by BBC Introducing in Cumbria. The Chadelics have gigged extensively across the UK, taking in support slots for Inspiral Carpets and a festival appearance at Kendal Calling where they were widely tipped as one of the highlights of the weekend. Their music was featured in the groundbreaking play 'Red Tap/Blue Tiger' at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2014. The Chadelics new double A side single 'Out of Line' and 'I.C.U' is released on 31st October 2015 as a digital download as well as on limited edition CD and vinyl, both will be available at live shows. "The Chadelics have an incredibly rough and ready way of music and composing. The sound they strive for is Jangly-pop and garage rock in the words of Mansergh. Gritty guitar lines, round melodic bass lines and thumping tom work are what make The Chadelics the rough and edgy three piece they are. Mansergh has an incredibly distinct voice that works great for the band as well as impressive songwriting energy and creativity that started from the age of thirteen when he wrote his first song and has grown to the quality that it is today." Noise Cannon "Behind the youthful on-stage exuberance, there's a strong songwriting craft on show tonight, merging catchy riffs that attach themselves to your ears with strong, intelligent lyrics and delicious harmonies that will have both the kids and their parents swooning over them." The Little Unsaid Can We Hear It? 9 October 2015 | |
The Little Unsaid was stewed up in the badlands of West Yorkshire by multi-instrumentalist, producer, poet and songwriter John Elliott. After beginning as a solo project, The Little Unsaid has evolved into a growing community of touring musicians and producers blending folk, electronica, orchestral music and a meticulous songwriting craft with Johns haunting, androgynous vocals. Following on the heels of two well-received, crowd-funded albums, his third, Fisher King, is the result of traumatic personal crisis, reflected in the musics genre-hopping complexity, lyrical honesty and moments of cathartic release. It was recorded over four weeks in a London basement, in the middle of Highgate Cemetery, in the steeple of a crumbling Islington church, and on a tiny island in the middle of the Celtic Sea. The album was mixed by Graeme Stewart, long-time Radiohead engineer and producer of Jonny Greenwoods solo work, which has included producing and mixing the music for Hollywood movies such as There Will Be Blood andThe Master. The songs on Fisher King are part-inspired by books that John became obsessed with during his self-imposed isolation in the hills of West Yorkshire in Winter 2014. These include Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov, Dantes Inferno, The Death of Bunny Munro by Nick Cave, andThe Waste Land by T.S. Eliot (a poem from which the album title was taken). The tone of these literary works correlated with Johns own explorations of the destructive nature of human desire and the loss of faith in the face of catastrophe, which has bled its way into all of the songs on the album. The lead single 'Can We Hear It ?' was selected by Catherine Cunning Coco Media & Artist Management and Mark Gardener OX-4-Sound, frontman of legendary Oxford band Ride, who also mixed the single during breaks from their recent world tour. The songs nursery-rhyme style iterations mourn the loss of childhood innocence, over a sliced-up sample of primary school children singing one of Johns older songs (this sample was recorded during his time working in a primary school in East London). This childlike mantra loops throughout the song over a playful electronic beat as sweeping strings and a twisted Mariachi brass section rise out of the nostalgic melancholy into a celebratory climax. For the third time, John successfully enlisted the help of a dedicated and growing fan base to fund the making of the album. Via crowd-funding platform Pledge Music, fans were offered pre-orders as well as limited edition artwork, personalized songs, acoustic albums and private concerts, to crowd-fund the recording, mixing and mastering of the album. A percentage of the funds raised is to be donated to UK charity Youth Music, which provides young people who are experiencing challenging circumstances with opportunities to make and be educated in music. After appearing at major festivals including Glastonbury this summer, The Little Unsaid is now preparing for a UK and European full-band tour to launch the single and perform tracks from the new album Several of these shows will feature special performances with regular collaborators the Southfield String Quartet, who perform Johns string arrangements on all of his releases.
