ALEX LOUISE

On 11th February 2013, young female singer-songwriter Alex Louise will release her first single - catchy acoustic pop tune 'Undercover'. The single has a beautiful raw and simple vibe, focussing on the lyrical content and melody and showcasing an intimate vocal performance from Alex herself.

'I wanted to focus on the lyrical story of the song, rather than distracting the listener with too many layers of instruments and production,' explains Alex. 'Undercover is a classic breakup song in terms of the lyrical content, and I know there are a lot of people out there who will connect and relate to it.'

Alex started her career as a songwriter for other artistes, but now launches her own career after spending 2012 promoting herself as an artiste in her own right. 'Its been really liberating to get up on that stage and perform my songs. I'm really passionate about connecting with people through my music,' says Alex, who has done some hi-profile performances in the past year at Guilfest, prestigious charity event London Rocks, Pia Michi Prom 2012 (OK Magazine featured), Xmas lights celebrations for Bexleyheath and Guildford, and other venues such as the Regal Rooms, The Bedford, and Norwich's Epic TV studios.

'I can't wait to release the single! There's a lot more to come in 2013 and releasing Undercover is the first step for me' says Alex, who's debut album is expected later into 2013.
Alex is showcasing in the BBC Club alongside Unsung Lilly on Wed 23rd January 2013.

Lost Legions

Lost Legions are a four-piece rock band from Jarrow and South Shields in the North East of England, combining a range of influences from Punk to Alternative Indie Rock, the sound of Lost Legions is not one that can be defined 100%.

We are looking for representation, management & general help in making music full time. It’s what we love to do and what we need to be doing.

A Short story!
After forming in 2009 as an acoustic two-piece, Peter and ex member Chris decided to recruit a newly acquainted Callum to play bass. After a few weekly practises, the three decided to turn the band into a full band and brought in Jason to play drums. Since then, the band has went through a few line-up changes with Chris leaving and other friend Glenn replacing him to play bass as Callum moves onto guitar. Then after Jason's departure, Karl replaces him, who was met through a mutual friend.
Now the band are rehearsing regularly, playing gigs and are currently recording demos as well as writing new songs.
The band's track 'Searching' has recently been featured on the Introducing section on BBC Radio Newcastle.

Artists Lost Legions have been compared too & may sound like are Arctic Monkeys, Oasis, Foo Fighters, Kasabian, The Killers, One Night Only, We Are Scientists, The Editors, Green Day, Paramore.
