Lilith and the Knight
Lilith And The Knight is a captivating female fronted rock band charting new waters in the rock genre. The newly formed, 5 piece hails from London and is capturing the attention of the public with their ability to combine modern, eye-popping hooks, with a rock vibe reminiscent of the 90's. Freshly out of the studio where they were recording their debut EP, Lilith and the Knight are now preparing for their band launch gig at Dingwalls in Camden (Date TBC).

Lilith And The Knight is Lilith is on Vocals, Stephen and Adam on guitar, Freddie on bass and Sam on drums. The members bring their musical backgrounds together, creating a refreshing and distinctive sound that is unique to them.

Talking about how the band came together, Lilith said 'I felt there was such a gap in the market for a strong female fronted rock band. Females in rock are becoming a lot more accepted, in what has always been quite a male dominated genre! I really wanted to create something fresh and new and I was lucky enough to know some amazingly talented musicians who felt the same way I do.' It was then that Lilith And The Knight was born.

The band took its name from Lilith; the mythical creature of the night who, in Jewish folklore was Adam's first wife, thrown out of the garden of Eden for her strong will. In other stories she is said to be a thrilling female demon, thought to terrorize the night. Lilith And The Knight certainly live up to their name! Their often sensual verses and intense, dynamic choruses make for an electrifying musical experience!

Columbus, OH hardcore outfit Beartoothwill release their brand new single “In Between” on June 8th. The song is off their debut full length album Disgusting, out now via Red Bull Records.

Watch the Drew Russ-directed clip here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j2p_w409y-o

Written, performed, produced and mixed by 22 year-old Caleb Shomo, Disgustingshares equal inspiration with brutal metalcore as with old-school punk like The Ramones and the bombastic theatricality of Queen. The end result is a back-to-basics hardcore stomp interspersed with anthemic choruses that resulted in numerous year-end superlatives:  #3 Most Essential Album of 2014 (Alternative Press), #2 Album of the Year (Rock Sound), #5 Album of the Year (Kerrang), #13 Song of the Year “In Between” (Kerrang), #6 Album of the Year (Big Cheese), Best New International Band (Big Cheese), #24 Album of the Year (Metal Hammer).

Beartooth has recently been nominated for three Alternative Press Music Awards, for Breakthrough Band, Song of the Year and Album of the Year and they have been nominated for a Metal Hammer Golden God award in the UK for Best New Band.

The five-piece spent summer 2014 on the Vans Warped Tour and have been playing constantly since, with the likes of Sleeping with Sirens, Pierce the Veil and Silverstein, even returning to their roots on a string of house show dates through the mid-west. Next up Beartooth will play venerable rock fests Welcome to Rockville, Carolina Rebellion and Rock on the Range before heading to the UK for a headline run and a slot at Slam Dunk Festival. At the end of May they will play Australia for the first time on a tour with In Hearts Wake and We Came as Romans before crisscrossing the globe once more for UK’s Download Festival and then returning home for the entire length of  the Vans Warped Tour 2015.

British rock/metal act Mean Machine.   Officially launched on March 26th 2015, the band is the brainchild of Thomas Maher, former drummer and songwriter of Brit rock band Emerald whose many successes included a number 24 ranking in the American top 500 BDS radio charts; placement and top 5 ranking on global gaming network Rock Band; global commercial radio play; placements on BBC & Sky television as well headline slots on many great UK festivals…  To celebrate their launch, the band re-recorded Master I Am, a single taken from the debut album (Master I Am)  by Emerald and offered it as a free download available from their official website.   Mean Machine are firmly focused on cracking the commercial market with their new & exciting breed of British rock/metal and are committed to providing their fans with no-nonsense music that reflects the true belief of being an independent artist.

Eccentric Jersey duo ‘Select All Delete Save As’ release new single ‘Nectar of Instruction’ on June 1st
The catchy “It’s Okay” refrain in the chorus finds the duo at their song writing best.  The deadpan verses whilst unusual somehow work their magic and go further to coin this band's signature sound. Whilst double A-side ‘Ultra Cultura’ finds the band in different epic electro—rock sound with female vocals (also downloable).

Lee Christian's (from Oxford band Smilex) second solo album, 'Intimate Details of Deals Done With The Devil'. Please find 'That Devil' from the album

SHOSHIN will release brand new single “PLAN C” on MAY 18th, the first single taken from their new album “Epiphanies And Wastelands”,collaboratively worked on by James Kenosha ( Pulled Apart By Horses, Dinosaur Pile Up, Grammatics ) and Chris Sheldon

Foo Fighters, Pixies, Heaven’s Basement ).

Pools of Battery Acid, Noise Pollution, Arrests, Police Brutality, Jail Cells, Fines, Impounded Amps, Tinned Food Survival, Endless Street Shows from Country to Country and Tens of Thousands of DIY albums sold under the radar.

SHOSHIN are a highly unique rock trio from the city of Manchester who have gone about building their loyal fan base with a very different approach to what average convention would usuallysuggest of a new band wanting to get out there. SHOSHIN’s sound was essentially born and raised on the street and they have spent lotsof time over the past few years setting up and playing street showsjust about anywhere possible to reach a wider audience. Guerilla gigs are SHOSHIN’s signature and they’ve played hundreds of shows from country to country in mainland Europe, UK and the USA. They’ve also paid the price for their art along the way too, with local authorities impounding their gear on many occasions and in several cases, they’ve been thrown in a Jail cell. At a recently devised guerilla performance at Eurosonic Noordenslaag festival in Holland, they earned the unofficial title of “ the most successful band of the festival” by the Dutch music press, after pitching up to play for 7 hours straight in the snow, winning fans and selling hundreds of records.

Their love and approach for playing live this way has taken them to many places, playing to thousands of people, selling DIY records by the box load and helped SHOSHIN develop into a must see live band. It wasn’t until they took to the streets of Brighton one year to perform The Great Escape Festival, where they were discovered by 7HZ Recordings & Jaba Music Management who signed them to their label instantly. Now with a new album in the bag titled “Epiphanies And Wastelands”, worked on by iconic producers Chris Sheldon and James Kenosha, SHOSHIN prepare to bring their bigand unique sound to the further masses. “Plan C” is the first offering and will be released on May 18th through 7Hz Recordings. The Album announcement will follow.

Shoshin are:

Pete Haley - Vocals, Guitar
Joe Stuart - Bass Sophie Labrey – Drums

BLAME

BIOGRAPHY

Blame is one of the most creative producers on the drum & bass scene, an accolade hard won over years of consistently breaking musical boundaries in an attempt to bring true innovation to the music that he loves.

It all began when Blame started to create tracks that would be synonymous with the early hardcore scene. Music Takes You, a project for the Moving Shadow label, saw him break into the UK charts and become number one in the dance chart; many books charting the early days of dance music have since credited this tune as a seminal moment in what was to soon become drum & bass.

After experiencing such early chart success, Blame decided to focus on his musical direction, and received critical acclaim for tunes such as Planet Neptune, also released on Moving Shadow. Soon after Blame joined LTJ Bukem’s Good Looking Records, and it was here that he began to try out more new sounds, quickly becoming one of the labels most important artists. Blame also mixed the second in the famous Logical Progression compilation series. He not only made waves with innovative, space-age tunes such as Visions Of Mars and Alpha:7, but he also became one of Good Looking’s best DJs, touring the world with LTJ Bukem.

The next step was for Blame to set up his own label, 720 Degrees and since then has used the label as a platform for ground breaking drum & bass, including Two Revolutions, a compilation album that showcased the labels increasingly dancefloor-oriented sound. It was a direction in which Blame’s own music was heading.

Blame’s continually prolific recording schedule has lead to successful releases on Hospital Records, Metalheadz and Charge Recordings.

Fast forwarding to 2008, Blame released Stay Forever, a beautiful blend of energetic breakbeats and soaring string sections that instantly caught the attention of Radio 1 DJs Zane Lowe, Pete Tong, Trevor Nelson, Colin Murray, Fabio, Rob Da Bank, Ras Kwame and Annie Mac. The Stay Forever vocal mix featuring Selah went straight onto the BBC 1Xtra daytime A playlist with massive support from Mistajam.

The start to 2009 was incredible. Blame & Selah's follow up Because Of You became Zane Lowe's Hottest Record In The World and Sara Cox's Single Of The Week. It was also daytime playlisted on BBC Radio 1 and 1 Xtra, receiving huge dj support from across the board.

The same year also saw some legendary remixes from Blame, adding his unique touch to crossover chart hits including: David Guetta & Kelly Rowland’s UK no.1 When Love Takes Over; the top three charting Show Me Love from Steve Angello & Laidback Luke feat. Robin S; Example’s first UK hit Watch The Sun Come Up and Alesha Dixon’s pop smash Let’s Get Excited. More recently Blame has remixed David Guetta, Chris Willis, Fergie and LMFAO's single Gettin' Over You, the Jackson 5 motown classic I Want You Back, and the early house anthem by Raze - Break 4 Love.

In 2010 Blame released his solo album The Music, pulling in collaborations with chart topping Tinchy Stryder, respected microphone lyricist Dynamite MC, newcomer Fuda Guy, house legend Jocelyn Brown, Roll Deep Crew collaborator Alex Mills, UK hip hop originator Rodney P and new voices Tom Sears, DRS, Jenna G, Camilla Marie and JT Fitz.

The first single from this album was
On My Own
featured Ruff Sqwad members, Tinchy Stryder and Fuda Guy, both backed by Alex Mills. This was a break beat driven, electro edged, crossover track which was heavily supported at Radio 1Xtra on their A playlist with the video on rotation on the main UK music channels.

Blame performed a few select live album showcases at events including BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend, The Wireless Festival, Rockness Festival as well as a special live BBC Maida Vale session which featured Tinchy Stryder, Jocelyn Brown, Dynamite MC, among others performing the album tracks.

Blame's recent projects include remixing Raze's house classic "Break 4 Love", Stooshe's "Betty Woz Gone", Sway's "Level Up" and Skepta's "Make Peace Not War" . Blame also just remixed Tiestos smash club/radio hit record "Red Lights"

Mishka Shubaly defies easy description. He is a veteran singer/songwriter who tours all over the USA and has shared the stage with The Strokes, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and The Decemberists. He is often compared to Tom Waits, Johnny Cash, and Leonard Cohen.

Mishka Shubaly is also a best-selling writer. His Kindle Singles for Amazon—surprisingly funny autobiographical stories about drink, drugs, disasters, and deception—have all been #1 bestsellers. His work has been praised for its grit, humour, fearlessness, and heart, and he was dubbed “a new star” by The New York Times. His six Kindle Singles (recently collected in a volume with an introduction by Jeff Bezos) have sold more than 200,000 copies worldwide and have been translated into Spanish, German and Polish.

Mishka Shubaly is also an ultra-runner, competing in races of up to 100 kilometres, races so long that he runs marathons as training runs. And Mishka Shubaly is a respected voice in the global recovery community. “The Long Run,” his firsthand account of his transition from alcoholic to sober distance runner without rehab or AA, has sold more than 90,000 copies worldwide. A full-length hardcover version of “The Long Run” will be published in 2016 by a major American publisher.

Shubaly’s sobriety doesn’t prevent him from mining the darkness in his past on his newest release, Coward’s Path. “I’m at peace with my alcoholic past,” he says with a grin, “what should I have been doing instead—selling insurance? I can’t recommend twenty years of drinking to others… but I gained a lot of insight into human darkness, soaked up a good story or two.” Indeed, Coward’s Path demonstrates Shubaly’s fluency with the lexicon of despair. No one else has plumbed the depths with such an unflinching gaze and indefatigable humour. Never has such a dark album been so funny.

Having wowed crowds in thirty-nine USstates and several other countries, Mishka’s album “Coward’s Path” is now being released by Invisible Hands Music in the UK. It is a tragic, comic, and brutally honest account of his descent into alcoholism (and the misadventures that followed). Johnny Depp calls it, “Forever a favourite – sublime!” Comedian Doug Stanhope says, “If you have ever considered committing suicide at happy hour, Mishka Shubaly is the singer-songwriter for you. You will drink yourself into a bottomless pit of despair, tap-dancing all the way.”

REVIEWS

“The songs on Shubaly’s new LP were recorded during his last epic bout with alcohol and they’re both harrowing and hilarious.”

 – MAGNET

“The gruff and rough-voiced Shubaly is a chronicler of mankind's darkest impulses and failures, a guy with a ticket to hell and back. Shubaly’s voice ain't exactly pretty, but it’s just right for his music: thickly melodic sing-along songs that yank at your heartstrings, and dark furious rockers.”

 - Time Out NY

"A beaming ray of jet-black sunshine"

- The Village Voice

“Don’t miss the track from singer/songwriter Mishka Shubaly.”

USA Today

Left-field alternative combo The Permanent Smilers bring you their debut album 'One Real Big Identity Crisis'. Thirteen brand new songs which have been perfected over two years.

The single Identity Crisis is taken from the album. A boisterous, jangling guitar affair.

An album doffing it’s cap to many musical genres, but with The Permanent Smilers tunefulness and unpredictability threading throughout. Reviewers have readily likened various songs to The Kinks, The Doors, XTC, The Fall, Half Man Half Biscuit, and Richards songwriting talent to Simon and Garfunkel, and Burt Bacharach.

Under the guise of The Permanent Smilers, Rich Lemongrower has written, recorded and overseen several albums in recent years. Despite there being no intention to fully release them, one still crept out to be featured prominently in The Sunday Telegraph supplement. Prior to that, in the early 1990’s, as the songwriter behind The Lemongrowers, he released two albums on the Norwichbased Noisebox label. Both were very well received and national as well as international airplay followed, including several songs being aired by John Peel. More recently, Rich appeared several times on Channel M television in Manchester to perform a single. He ended up also reviewing the sport and even the papers! Again, the song was very well received, knocking the Manic Street Preachers off the top spot in the local charts.

The Permanent Smilers are fronted by Rich Lemongrower, who writes the songs, sings them, and is responsible for guitars, keyboards and most of the percussion. Jonny Cole plays bass, and Pete Fraser drums. Dave Land (Starlight Express, Dame Shirley Bassey, amongst many others) guests on a number of tracks playing trumpet or flugelhorn. David Pye (Transgressive) completes the team by mixing the songs.

"Clattering, boisterous pop... Truly infectious melody" - DANCING ABOUT ARCHITECTURE

"Wonderfully presented ideas... A highly enjoyable album" - THE CD CRITIC

"Irresistable... A compelling proposition which comes from left field, keeps it's heart there, and leaves the most enjoyable experience in it's wake" - RINGMASTER REVIEWS

"A band already at the top of their game... An album that really can't fail to impress"
