Info -

Lover are a six
piece London based pop/rock band. The bands new
single We Are Stars is out now.

You can hear the new
single at
https://soundcloud.com/make-my-day-music/lover-we-are-stars/s-7yKkA

You can see the video at :

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v8lCA-kvUzU&feature=youtu.be

2016 is the year Lover decide
whether you’re allowed to be a part
of their world or not. With a morbid longing for the
picturesque at all costs -
are you ready to explore life no one thought could exist
outside literature?
Where dissatisfaction is bohemian and vaguely Marxist in
origin, Lover are here
to show you the beauty in the
darkness.

A cross between the song you can’t
get out of your head, and
something you’ve never heard before but are desperate to
hear again, Lover will
stimulate your aural senses with music from the depths of
dark and twisted
cognition. You’ll find everything was grey before
discovering this band, now
grey is blue and lines are blurred - yet you’ll witness
more of the world than
you ever deemed possible. You’ve been offered a window
into the unknown, are
you ready to jump?

Novum
venerum
In a generation opening its eyes to
gender fluidity and
pansexuality, Lover have been walking that road for some
time. Their chemistry
on stage is how you’ll find them backstage - tactile and
empirical the band
only have eyes for each other.

Sarah
Blessed are the merciful for they
shall obtain mercy whenever she
moves in the spotlight - Sarah is the woman who men aspire
to be and women
dream about.
Confident, alluring and with a voice
known to tame the wildest of
animals, she is the personification of feminine charm. Armed
with the strength
and flexibility of a thousand warriors, Sarah is the front
and centre and
coherent chimera of the group.

Jamie
Mess with the pack at your own
peril, Jamie’s the one who’ll
protect his partners by any means necessary. With beats that
blur the
boundaries of human morality and rhythms you never knew you
could dance to
before, Jamie has the ability to make you question
everything. If you’ve ever
queried anything about yourself, you’ll find the answer
somewhere between
Jamie’s snare and floor tom.

Andy
In a strange country between dream
and waking, Andy can see all
the stars but having named them all the same - there’s
terrible confusion. Many
a threat to Lover have been transported to another time
through Andy’s
stratospheric skills on guitar - some who never found their
way home. With
influences from across the decades, Andy brings the
progression to Lover,
whilst everyone else is enamoured with the glamour and
sophistication of the
past, Andy finds the beauty in the fluidity of the present
and the unknown of
what’s to come.

Florence
Synthetic seduction takes human form
in Florence. Speaking languages you’ve never
heard of, she will entice and arouse your senses leaving you
with the decision
whether or not to take all your clothes off and worship at
her keyboard altar,
she has this kingdom locked up and it takes someone very
special with their
neck open wide to be given the key. There’s always two
sides to every story,
and maybe one day Florence
will let you in on both of hers.

Matt
Matt’s mafia connections have done
nothing but help the band stay
the best-known secret in music. Don’t be fooled by his
youthful appearance, his
knowledge of music goes back centuries. Starting a
conversation with him can
lead to self doubt about whether you’ve ever listened to
music before, and his
insight will revolutionise the way you consume music
forever. Even the most
lost of boys can prove to be more dangerous than you’d
ever dare to dream, Matt
may seem the most approachable, but one look from him and
you’ll be snared for
life.

Casper
Constantly the presence following
you in the dark, it’s not a
sense of dread but protection and invincibility felt
whenever Casper is near. An intense sense of humour
follows Casper
around leading you to the unexpected and joy in life through
music and
laughter. If you’re not on his level, he has no qualms in
leaving you behind -
but if you’re reaching as far and high as he is then
he’ll push you to your
limits and guide you through the
dark.

vos non potestis sedere
nos
The band have a bond so visceral, it
can be felt by those around
them even if you’re not with them. A little bit
threatening, but also
seductive, Lover walk in worlds others can’t begin to
imagine.

There’s no use crying about
whether or not you’ll be welcomed into
their kingdom, just be glad that they’re willing to let
you listen. The moon
whispers all sorts of dreadful things, but it hasn’t a
word to say against
these six. Lover is the only story you’ll ever need to
tell.

Melbourne shoegazers Bloodhounds On My Trail have announced 'She's In My Plans' as the second single from their Escape II. This follows up the first lead track 'Jolly', which also got the remix treatment on this release by groundbreaking dreampop duo Ummagma. That track is premiering in Canada's renowned Northern Transmissions.

Bloodhounds On My Trail are Johnny Green (guitar, vocals), Chris Donaldson (guitar), Nik Donaldson (drums) and Ché Walden (bass). Rooted in their joint love of shoegaze bands, ranging from the late 1980s to early 90s, Bloodhounds On My Trail aim to fuse the rhythmic underpinnings of bands like the Velvet Underground and the Stooges with the infectious stylings of shoegaze luminaries such as Cocteau Twins and Slowdive.

Since playing their first show in February 2014, the band has been blossoming through a whirlwind combination of live shows, festivals and recording sessions. Their music was met with positive reactions, encouraging press, and opportunities to play with notable Australian artists such as Lowtide, Contrast, and White Walls.2015 also seen the band gain momentum with appearances at local gaze festivals alongside Flyying Colours, Immigrant Union, Black Cab and Day Ravies.

Thanks to Tonedeaf and Gabe Lewis from Lowtide, one of the foremost shoegaze acts in Australia, Bloodhounds on My Trail began to be known as one of the best Aussie shoegaze acts around. "They sound like how I want my guitars to sound," Gabe explains. "Needless to say, I was immediately hooked. Really languid, cascading washes, and wearing their pastoral shoegaze influences on their sleeves.

The band recorded this music at Birdland Studios with renowned engineer and producer Matthew Hosking, the go-to guru of Australia's burgeoning shoegaze scene, known for his outstanding work with fellow shoegazers Lowtide, Contrast, vhs dream and Hideous Towns.

"I hope for people to enjoy it and get a buzz off our tunes. We ain't preaching anything, just making music we find exciting and want to record and play live," says Johnny Green.

'Escape II' numbered in nearly a dozen 'Best of 2015' charts, including Stereo Embers Magazine, The Record Stache, The Revue, Shoegazer Alive and YesIndie. Shoegazemania named 'Escape' the year's number 2 EP, which also ranked high among EPs for the world's 2 leading shoegaze radio stations: DKFM and Primal Radio & Music Blog. Both Custom Made Music and Terapija.net included Shes In My Plans at #6 in their year's top songs.

'Escape II' was released in December by Moon Sounds Records, an American niche shoegaze/ dreampop / postpunk label which is also home to such notable bands as Ceremony, The Foreign Resort, Dead Leaf Echo, Static Daydream, Follow The Sea and Canada-Ukraine dreampop duo Ummagma.

Bio:
The Bangalore/Cochin based Alternative Rock band was formed in 2011 when they jammed with a couple of friends in their hometown. Their debut album 'Shapes On The Wall' is one of the best sounding modern rock records in the Indian music scene. Inspired by bands like Washed Out, Band Of Horses, Braids, Tycho, Tame Impala, Toro Y Moi, Atoms For Peace, Baths, Wild Beasts, Jon Hopkins, Deerhunter, their music is intense, soulful and transcendent.

Considered as 'An artist to

Letters is now known to be one of the most creative and appreciated bands in

with their highly anticipated forthcoming record 'Petrichor', which is

Having kick-started their  musical career with a spot on Al Waser’s Weekly Top 20 and working with engineers from Abbey Road Studios, Elle Deva are the industry’s next gem to watch out for! Emil Panzov from Filter Label has been in the studio with the band various times and says: “Elle Deva are a pleasure to work with. Not only they are extremely talented musicians, they also have a very professional approach to their art. I am sure that these qualities combined with their dedication will lead them to big things in the near future.”

Listen Here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jjXyxkV5Gxw

During the making of the song, Elle Deva had the opportunity to work with session musicians and producers, providing a fresh take on their music. They describe that their influence behind the track derives from a deep passion for music and people around them that they find inspiring. They explain: “After taking many approaches regarding our musical genres, coming from Electronic soul to being an Acoustic duo to releasing an EP specifically aimed at TV and film to experimenting in producing our own music, we’ve finally managed to release a piece of artwork we feel fits us best in terms of genre and mood. “

Elle Deva was formed eight years ago when Italian guitarist Michele met singer/songwriter Lauren in South Africa. The two have been working together ever since, taking inspiration from their diverse musical backgrounds and their strong Christian beliefs. The two live in Italy but decided to record some of their work in London to collaborate with producers and session musicians that would help them reach a new market with their catchy acoustic songs.

The band has released their debut EP ‘Rain Roses’ back in October 2014 and since then have gone on to build their reputation and their profile within the music industry having had press coverage in Italian newspapers as well as gaining radio exposure.

The Single ‘Take It All’ is out now from upcoming EP ‘Familiar Ground’, out on 11th March 2016

Described as a “talented chanteuse and citizen of the world [who] has a way with a musical phrase nearly unmatched by most of her peers” by the award-winning music website Soulbounce, Franklin is a multitalented singer who combines vocal savvy à la Whitney Houston with an activist heart.

As a follow-up to her captivating R’n’B song ‘Higher’, ‘Weary’ is a mystifyingly beautiful examination of the struggles that people go through in our day and age. Written and produced by Kwame Busia, the lyrics read: “Someone told you that you’ve got so much to give but you’re preoccupied with just trying to live.” Touching upon one of the most profound struggles that exist within human nature, ‘Weary’ is also an affirmation of hope which is so convincingly portrayed in Franklin’s vocal interpretation.

Listen here: https://soundcloud.com/jaefranklin/jae-franklin-weary

Jae’s artistic career goes a long way back to her High School days when she and her sister were in a band called Girls Tyme with former classmate Beyonce Knowles and Kelly Rowland before the days of Destiny’s Child.  Born and raised in Houston, Texas, the singer eventually moved to Dubai where she has successfully honed her skills and managed to get noticed by the public eye with media coverage in the United Arab Emirates, the US and the UK.

Having always dreamed of broadening her artistic work and getting into the spheres of political activism, Jae would like to someday be able to become an ambassador for the UN Human Rights Council to raise awareness about refugee crises and social issues. She declares: “I would like to use my music as a platform for change and become a catalyst for change to heal the world and make a difference.”  Being an artist who values the opportunity to “give back” she has worked and performed for a variety of charities in the past. The social commentary in ‘Weary’ is yet another way for her to raise awareness and provoke thought in a world that is in desperate need for global solutions in terms of social justice.

‘Weary’ is out on 26th March 2016.

Raving Wild is set to release contemplative indie EP ‘Kolmanskop’, a cathartic project that deals with life lessons learned from past mistakes.

Having appeared on Tom Robinson’s BBC 6 show and BBC Introducing Three Counties amongst others, Raving Wild is one of the most intriguing and riveting singer songwriters on the indie scene at the moment. Signed to Coffee Jingle Records, the musician has earned praises from media platforms such as The National Student declaring that Raving Wild aka. Graham Iddon is “crafting a sound that is delicate yet powerful, embedding subtle instrumental intricacies within hook-heavy ballads.”  Other people who complimented his music include Liz Mitchell of Boney M.

With a touch of Jeff Buckley and City and Colour, the EP and eponymous single ‘Kolmanskop’ is an ode to an abandoned mining town in the Namib desert which Raving Wild used as a symbol for the EP’s concept “Lessons learned in the desert”, an inspiration that derived from a soul searching mission in which the artist wanted to understand how he could learn from past mistakes and understand the world around him better. The lead single, ‘At The Crossroads’, sets the perfect mood for the life journey that the singer describes in the record.

Check out ‘At The Crossroads’ here: https://soundcloud.com/ravingwild/raving-wild-at-the-crossroads-album-version

Having lived in a miner’s town himself during his early childhood years (albeit not in the desert but in the North East of England), Raving Wild has managed to mix concept with personal experience. To make the recording process as authentic and ‘desert-like’ as possible, the singer dehydrated himself 24 hours prior to the making of ‘Kolmanskop’. He also explains: “This is, to my knowledge, the only track in the world where a pickaxe makes part of the percussion.”

Raving Wild has recently had the opportunity of playing at the film set of the latest Star Wars movie at the prestigious Pinewood Studios in London as well as in front of a couple of thousand people at Parklife Festival in Aylesbury last year.

Apart from being a talented songwriter and lyricist, Raving Wild’s interests range from attempting to break the record in the land speed of an office chair or eating a tin of hot dogs in the fastest time possible. He’s managed eight in 16 seconds which means he did not break the record.

We might not read about Raving Wild in the Guinness Book of Records, but it is more than likely that he will gain growing attention for his music in the world’s entertainment sections.

The EP Kolmanskop is out on 28th March 2016

By the Tides’ was written in response to the tragedy surrounding the ongoing loss of life in the Mediterranean Sea. Many of those hoping to find the world another way are small children, separated from their families and drowned at sea. We desperately hope that the tide changes and this terrible season of our history can come to an end.

Written, arranged and produced by Ange Hardy & Lukas Drinkwater and taken from our forthcoming album Findings.

By The Tides'

Will you still be waiting when the floods of water rain?
By the tides all as the seasons change.
And will you still be waiting when the water meets the main?
By the tides all as the seasons change.

Will you still be waiting as they haul the boats away?
By the tides all as the seasons change.
And will you still be waiting when they call the boats to bay?
By the tides all as the seasons change.

Will we reach this land to find the world another way?
Staying would have been for us far harder.
Brother, will the time pass in our mother’s arms again?
And the closing of the day bring in our father?

Will you still be waiting when my lungs being to fill?
By the tides all as the seasons change
And will you still be waiting when the cold becomes the chill?
By the tides all as the seasons change

Will you still be waiting when they find me sleeping still?
By the tides all as the seasons change.
And will you still be waiting when they take me to the hill?
By the tides all as the seasons change.

Will we reach this land to find the world another way?
Staying would have been for us far harder.
Brother, will the time pass in our mother’s arms again?
And the closing of the day bring in our father?

Will you still be waiting when they call the land to arms?
By the tides all as the seasons change.
And will you still be waiting while the boats are pulled from harm?
By the tides all as the seasons change.

Will you still be waiting when the ignorance has gone?
By the tides all as the seasons change.
And will you still be waiting when my hill becomes your home?
By the tides all as the seasons change.

By the tides all the seasons change.

WE'RE IN THIS TOGETHER is the debut single by British musical comedian, writer and television comedy producer MATT TILLER. This driving comic indie rock track is about kidnapping George Osborne, Britain’s Chancellor of the Exchequer. The song spiralled into a short story which Matt has published on Amazon.

Video: https://youtu.be/Surh9BDI6SI

Matt says, ‘George Osborne repeatedly telling us we’re in it together somehow drove me to an extreme idea of being in it together — a kidnap. The song about bundling the Chancellor into the boot of a car appeals to live audiences so I decided to record and release it. A little research into George’s life unfortunately showed we had more in common than I first thought. That inspired the short story which combines true events with a fictional narrative. Annoyingly, I think George comes out of it quite well.’

WE'RE IN THIS TOGETHER is released on all digital platforms.

Bleed" is taken from their current EP "Blood From a Stone" (HTT)

Astral Void are a melodic heavy rock band established in 2007 and originate from Norfolk. Former Red Leaf front man Andy Martin began performing at local pubs doing solo Electric/Acoustic performances with his own original material. Wanting to form his ideas into a band format Andy advertised online and came across Chris Gedge, who had recently left covers/originals band Smoking Aces, in 2010. After meeting and jamming the pursuit was on for other members to join.

September 2013 Astral Void recruited Nathan Redgrave and Liam Ramsker, two amazingly talented musicians. With a new line up all the unsettled, unfinished business of before now resolved. New songs, new refreshed confidence, Astral Void are even more hard hitting than before and will continue to blast their brand of alternative rock into 2016.

Dazzle Me Diamond’ is a song of hope, as Miel explains:

“I had been asked to perform at a Sotheby’s diamond auction event taking place in the Alps and decided to write a song for this occasion. I looked at my engagement ring and thought of the hope and happiness that was symbolised by the ring and, in particular, the diamond with its sparkle and light.
The song is deeply personal and emotional….wishing and hoping that the powerful diamond might give, once again, the happiness of younger days.”

The song’s symbolism of strength and survival is united with a beautiful, pulsating soundscape to create an uplifting and hypnotic celebration of hope and faith. Having already scored a club chart hit (no.9 in the Music Week Club Chart) with Manhattan Clique’s remix of the album's title track,
Miel recently celebrated a return to these charts with their remix of ‘Dazzle Me Diamond’ (no.12), something that truly delighted her “It is a thrill to have a club hit with my songs, I love to dance and feel like a dance diva as a result of this!”

The last year has been an extraordinary and wonderful time for Miel. Having endured some difficult times in her family life, and searching for fulfilment, Miel took a giant step into the unknown and embarked on a music career. Her debut album ‘Magnetic’,
recorded in both English and French and produced by Andy Wright, is a musical autobiography that includes the songs of her early childhood growing up in Switzerland as well as self-penned songs inspired by her own life in England.

The year began with an album launch in the Southbank Centre’s Purcell Room, featuring Miel and her band, a string quartet, Rambert dancers and an immersive light show. Intimate, sold-out concerts at Crazy Coqs, The Pheasantry and Dean St Jazz Club saw Miel flourishing in the spotlight.
Supporting both John Barrowman and Rhydian Roberts on their UK tours gave Miel and her band the opportunity to perform for much larger audiences around the country, an experience that she embraced:
“What a privilege to tour with such talented artists! And what a fantastic experience to perform in front of such large audiences who were so warm and receptive.”

Looking back, Miel describes the past twelve months as “a truly magical, incredible year where dreams have come true and all the hard work really has paid off and has turned into joy.” As well as fulfilling her own dreams, Miel’s generous spirit sees her supporting other artists and causes.
Close to her heart is the YMCA Jerusalem Youth Chorus, a joint Israeli-Palestinian choir, who through music and dialogue work together for peace in their community and beyond. Miel sang with the choir last November at The Aldwych Theatre and continues to support them.
In November, in recognition for her philanthropic work, Miel received an honorary PhD from the Weizmann Institute of Science, whose areas of research include alternative energy sources, treatments for cancer and solutions to world hunger.
‘Magnetic’ includes ‘Birds Without Borders’, a song written by Miel for the RSPB’s campaign of the same name, which aims to tackle the problem of birds being killed illegally each year as they migrate across the Mediterranean.

One Man Boycott Are Sick Of It All:
South West Pop Rockers Release New Single From Forthcoming Debut Album
February 2016: Ahead of the release of their debut album in
March, quartet One Man Boycott have unveiled the video for new
single ‘Sick Of It All’. Featuring live footage from their headline set
a Germany’s largest free entry festival, Wutzrock, alongside
coverage of their ‘Break The Silence’ summer tour, you can see it
here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MNv1t8f0F9I.

Vocalist Joe Brewer vocalist and brainchild of his solo-project-
turned-full-band One Man Boycott comments on the lyrics of the
single: “they are referring to mine and many others past
experiences trying to get into the music industry growing up.
People calling you shit or casual daily death threats and
horrendous spiteful rumours, all due to the way you look or the
music you play, like that's normal...scary thing is how easy it is to
listen to those kind of people, those haters”. He continues
enthusiastically: “This song is me personally venting, the chance to
mentally stand up and say "you know what? fuck you, I'm sick of it." I sincerely hope that the people know where I'm
coming from with these words connect and it helps them in any way to stand up and be proud.”
Completed by guitarist Lewis Chappell, drummer Frank Rawle and bassist Tom Hitchins, One Man Boycott pen the
kind of energetic, instantly infectious pop rock nuggets that instantly instil a hankering for long sun-soaked days with
good friends. With crisp production from Romesh Dodangoda (Kids In Glass Houses, Funeral For A Friend, Decade),
Counting The Seconds is as accomplished as debut albums get, One Man Boycott confidently presiding over their
arsenal of slick, effortless vocals (Brewer commands an impressive 4 octave range), punchy guitars and driving
drums. Positively soaked in youthful exuberance, the forthcoming debut evokes pop rock’s halcyon days, where the
stables of Drive Thru Records and Fuelled By Ramen saw gem after gem race out the gate with pop hearts
unashamedly on sleeves, swinging songwriting savvy like a deadly weapon.

Shauna is responsible for one of the most recognisable Irish syncs of the last few years with the track 'Can't Keep Up', which she wrote and performed with her previous band Silhouette, used by Discover NI in an extensive TV advertising campaign. Shauna has spent the last couple of years touring as guest vocalist with Snow Patrol and as bassist with American indie artist Darwin Deez. Collette is also a hugely talented vocalist and musician and can be seen drumming in the video for Gabrielle Aplin's current hit single  'Sweet Nothing'.

While his double A-side release of ‘Firefly’/’Comfy Slippers’ from last summer was more in the style of bands like A Perfect Circle or Tool, Johnny Wore Black is now back with a completely different take on his sound.

As a cracking rock act his work has always been about the energy and the drive of striking sonic eruptions. Ready to hit the world’s dance floors, the songwriter has now decided to team up with DJ Endemix to create remix versions of ‘Firefly’. The song was recorded in collaboration with Megadeth bassist David Ellefson who has, in the past, praised Johnny Wore Black’s sound as “unique”. With online music magazine Metal Temple describing the original version as full of “edgy grooves that make you want to rock around the room”, the new remixes add on some infectious dancefloor vibes. The videos for the Firefly remixes were skilfully recreated from the original animation by Paul Solomons.

Watch/Listen Here:
Club Remix: https://youtu.be/sQc_eMoVLjg
Radio Remix: https://youtu.be/e5mEzlU5L2c

By recreating the previous guitar-heavy rock version of the song into a smoother form of elating dance ecstasy, Johnny Wore Black is demonstrating that his uniqueness can take on many different levels. He is an artist who is willing to progress instead of getting stuck within the limits of genre specific ‘rules’.

Having worked with DJ Endemix before, Johnny Wore Black has decided he wanted to reach a wider audience with his music. While not mainly driven by commercial interest, the songwriter was more intrigued by the idea to take his music to a different dimension and be able to make as many people as possible listen to it. He likes the thought of his songs being played in clubs and was particularly inspired by Skrillex’ remix on Korn’s ‘Get Up!’.

Although he sees himself primarily as a rock musician, Johnny Wore Black thinks that the beauty of making music stems from the ability to fuse many different elements into one and create something new.  Being able to work with DJ Endemix was a way for him to broaden his horizon and step into unknown spheres.

When Johnny Wore Black isn’t creating dynamic sound experiences, he finds a different outlet to release his energy by working as a stuntman.

The remix of Firefly is out on 26th February 2016

Bio:
I Talk To Strangers are a Alternative Pop Rock duo from Southgate & Edgware in London, UK. Both Alex and Georgina have the aim to use their songs to inspire and communicate through music and performance. They also have close ties with the social movement "We Speak Freely" which has a massive impact on the ethos behind the band.

The band are incredibly excited to be bringing you their debut self-titled EP that is set to be released on Friday 5th February.

Described as an innovative duo who's intense harmonies resonate straight from their open hearts, I Talk To Strangers are pushing the boundaries of what it is to communicate through music and performance.

Tracks:
The band don't have a specific single though they have three amazing tracks on offer for airplay depending on what sort of music you cater for. The songs and a brief description are below...
Welcome To Life (Where Anything Is Possible)
This is the pop rock banger of the EP. If you are looking for an uplifting Alt Rock anthem then this is the song of choice!
The Tales Of Tortuga
A more light-hearted anthem that shows specific focus on incredible vocal harmonies and amazing instrumental sections.
Hopelessly (In Love With You)
A pop acoustic sing-along from start to finish. This incredibly beautiful song wears its heart on it's proverbial sleeve and will have you singing the entire way through!

Bio:
The three piece from Llanelli, South Wales are currently in the studio recording an ambitious two part split concept album titled ‘Human Resources / Collateral Damage’. The new record will be the follow up to last years well received debut ‘The Sentinel Paradox’.

‘The Beat of the Alpha’ is taken from the upcoming album and is the first offering of what is in store
from the trio on the new LP.   With this release front man Kirk Bowen, Bassist, Kristian Davison and Drummer, Damien Harris, continue to evolve their well honed sound, while remaining committed to their brand of politically charged alternative rock.

The bands musical roots are deep-seated in a Punk philosophy and mix social commentary, political intrigue, anger and contempt with the shady realms of conspiracy, always provoking their listeners to look beyond the received message

World Vs World set out on a short tour during February and March to promote their new single, with a launch show in Cardiff at FUEL Rock Club on Saturday, February 13th  and culminating in Glasgow on March 19th.

A full list of Tour Dates can be found on the bands Facebook page.

Bio: Paul Taylor (originally known as PJ Taylor) is a singer and songwriter from Central London with a passion for making music. He has a growing fanbase worldwide especially in the US, Australia, and Canada as well as UK. Though not an instrumentalist he can create the lyrics and melodies himself. His songs are catchy, well written and they are very meaningful and ambiguous to his listeners. Taylor started off performing covers of classic songs but it wasn't until 2006 when he realised that he had a talent for writing his own songs. Taylor was voted Unsigned Artist Of 2012, 2013 and 2014 on podcast Wills Room Live and he is becoming known to be one of the best songwriters in the UK.

Becca B is kick-starting a promising career with her smooth R’n’B release ‘“Ready and Waiting” featuring rapper MceBisi.

Having honed her skills over the years by supporting acts such as Gareth Gates at Party In The Park and Stacey Solomon at The Ashfield Show, the exuberant singer from Nottinghamshire is now ready to embark upon a rosy future in the music industry with a repertoire of suave and laid-back pop beats.

Her new single “Ready and Waiting” is a sophisticated R’n’B track that, underpinned by a flawless production and additional rap interlude by the brilliant MceBisi, has got some definite hit potential. She says: “This song is also about new steps. It is about the flirtatious engagements between two new people wanting something more form each other.”

Becca B is not fussed about hiding behind an alter-ego. She believes in the principle of ‘What you see is what you get’ and wants the world to know what she is about. She feels that her music gives her a chance to be truly authentic. After having experimented with different styles in the past she has now found her sound and explains:  “I feel R’n’B gives me a more intimate platform to put across my feelings, fantasies and loves of life.” With this approach her musical end-product draws upon inspiration from artists such as Pink, Jason Derulo and Rihanna.

During her time as a singer Becca has come across some important life lessons when it gets to making it in the music business. Having missed out on the chance to sign with a major label in the past due to the discouragement of her mentor at the time, she has started to learn more and more about how the industry works and taken on a warrior-like spirit in terms of her ambitions. Determination and eagerness are not only part of her musical career – Becca is also a football player for the local women’s team.

Her potential for fame doesn’t prevent the singer from staying close to her fan base. Being active on social media allows her to build a direct connection to her followers as a way to keep them updated and interested in her latest work.

The single “Ready and Waiting” is out on 12th February 2016.

Finally Edinburgh’s The Filthy Tongues are poised to release their much anticipated debut album, Jacob’s Ladder. But these are no new kids in town. The Filthy Tongues have occupied a unique place at the heart of Scottish alternative rock, in various manifestations, since the mid 80’s.

Martin Metcalfe, Fin Wilson and Derek Kelly were the core-members of Goodbye Mr Mackenzie, a stunning live band with Metcalfe resembling the MC of a debauched, vaguely gothic cabaret, which effortlessly churned out pop classics, sinister dark Blues and full-blown stadium-fitting anthems.

The core trio, along with the Mackenzies’ keyboardist and backing singer, Shirley Manson, evolved into Angelfish, ably aided and abetted by Taking Heads and Blondie manager Gary Kurfirst, and quickly established a hardcore following as the band appeared in both the UK national and US College charts. They recorded a well-received album in Connecticut with Chris Frantz and Tina Weymouth from the Talking Heads, and the video for the single Suffocate Me caught the attention of producer and musician, Steve Marker, who was actively sourcing possible lead singers for a new project he was working on with fellow musician/producers Butch Vig and Duke Erikson. The project was Garbage. Manson was lured from Angelfish to front the nascent Garbage and the rest, as they say, is history.

The amicable split left behind ‘the most complex, fascinating musical footprint of any Scottish band yet’.

(The List magazine)

Two further albums in the UK followed, as Isa & the Filthy Tongues, featuring the core-trio and American-born frontwoman Stacey Chavis. These releases attracted 5 star reviews and saw them played regularly on BBC6 Music. The band also featured on the soundtrack to ex-Skids’ frontman turned director, Richard Jobson’s New Town Killers film and caught the ear of Hollywood in David Mackenzie’s film Spread.

2016 and The Filthy Tongues are once more back to the original, ever-dependable trio, but working a revolving-door policy featuring various musical and literate contributors and collaborators. The new eight-track album finds The Filthy Tongues in familiar territory – highly literary musings on their hometown of Edinburgh, but also evocative of such celebrated US Deep South scribblers as William Falkner and Flannery O’Connor, possibly why Nick Cave and The Bad Seed’s classic Delta-Blues First Born is Dead album comes to mind. But it’s definitely an ‘Edinburgh’ album, a journey through the dark, damp closes and stairwells of the Old Town and all that goes with it. It’s claustrophobic, and menacing with nary a glisten of sunlight, but it’s all the more compelling and captivating for that. Martin offers this ‘The LP is pleasingly grotty and more than a bit gothic. All based around a dark neo-feudal Edinburgh’.

In a colourful career the band have worked and toured with Blondie, The Ramones, Chris Frantz and Tina Weymouth, Vic Chesnutt, New York Dolls, Big Audio Dynamite, Aztec Camera and many more.

When listening to The Filthy Tongues, musical critics recognise Pixies, Echo and the Bunnymen, Joy Division, Nick Cave and Scott Walker influences, and other plumbers of the murky musical depths, but the style of this ever evolving band remains strikingly and individually their own.

The Lazlo Device is the new voice of indie. With a dreamy mix of melodic guitars and contemplative vocals the London based band manages to transport the qualities of 80s shoegazing into a 21st century narrative. The four-piece counts music professionals like Dominic Howard (Muse) and Howard Donald (Take That) among their fans and recently had pop legend Neneh Cherry attend one of their gigs. After what they describe as “four years of hard bloody work” the band has reached a level of proficiency that is made for big stages as can be heard in their upcoming single ‘Looking Glass’ from the album Duelism.

The band has taken inspiration from the likes of Muse, Radiohead, Joy Divison or Arcade Fire and has proved to be equally as a capable to beautifully balance out the darker tones in their songs with a gradually building up sense of elation Apart from demonstrating musical excellence members Dan Murdoch, Ross Saunders, Leo Fenn and Mark Litobarski are all active in a wide range of artistic spheres stretching from painting to film making and radio work. Ross works as a studio manager at Radio 1 and Dan has been a successful filmmaker for the BBC over the last few years.

Being formed out of the remains of noteworthy bands such as Goldroom, DP Wives or Turbowolf the lads combine years of experience with a well developed sound and a massive portion of diligence. The diversity of their style is primarily a product of various musical backgrounds. All four members are songwriters in their own right and having been influenced by a broad range of different genres has contributed greatly to the uniqueness of their songs.

The Lazlo Device has been played on various radio stations in the past, they have been on the bill at numerous festivals and have launched two EPs so far. Their music is also about to be featured on a forthcoming BBC documentary about the Black Panthers. With an electrifying album and a single coming up it’s only a question of time before the Lazlo Device are headlining arenas.

The single ‘Looking Glass’ will be out on 4th March 2016.

The Senton Bombs are a punk rock & roll band from Blackpool, regulars on the live-circuit, the band has amassed numerous admirers of their high octane live shows, explosive recordings and distinct rock sound. Imagine the melodic energy of ‘Aerosmith’ combined with the sneering audacity of ‘ The Clash’ to get an idea of this band.

We are delighted to announce that The Senton Bombs signed with German record label 7hard for the release of our new album. The deal will help to bring in more distribution partners, including Sony and Universal. HTT will continue to manage the UK single releases.

Hip hop marvel Kay Kumar is one of the most exciting artists on the scene at the moment.

His latest single ‘SVDS’ is a stunning bilingual power beat that was recorded in both French and English. The video was shot in the paradisiacal landscape of Morocco which Kay found to be the perfect “cinematographic, crazy, wild, fun and adventurous” environment for it. Music website Streets Talkin summed up the result: “The video is breathtaking, his talent obvious, and the combination of English and French worth the listen.”

Kay has been compared to musicians such as Kendrick Lamar, Eminem or French Montana although his unique take on the mixture of not only languages but also genres demonstrates a great portion of originality. Being keen on keeping his sound as diverse as possible Kay is using  elements from hip hop to dance, R’n’B, techno/EDM  and rock in his upcoming album which he is currently recording in collaboration with artist Zak Le Ninja, who is also featured on ‘SVDS’. He describes the album as “playful, fun and commercial”.

Born in Gwalior, India and raised in Birmingham, British/Indian Kay Kumar has had a multicultural upbringing which he now impeccably translates into his musical open mindedness. He likes to challenge himself and dive into adventures. After describing his first journey to Morocco as an experience which allowed him to witness “some of the most beautiful and some of the most horrific things” he has ever seen in his life, he is now planning on returning to the country for the video shoot of his second single ‘Belly Shake’.

Kay’s aspirations have led to TV appearances, numerous shows and his songs being played on mainstream radio stations in various countries. He is keen on continuing his international approach and work with different artists all over the world. His work ethic and talent suggest bigger things to come and it probably won’t be long until we hear of Kay Kumar’s nomination for a music award as best new artist.
The single ‘SVDS’ is out on 26th February 2016

Mellor Release New EP 'Damage/Joy'

Lead Track: Dolly Daydream

Describing themselves as making indie pop-smack, Mellor are a four piece from Reading whose sound and image has been compared to that of The Libertines, Arctic Monkeys and Miles Kane

Gary, Josh and Evert met at school and the line up was completed when Sam was introduced to them through a mutual friend. Laying the foundations of their songs through Gary's guitar parts and lyric ideas, the band work collectively to create the sound they're looking for. Their latest EP 'Damage/Joy' was produced by Mo Hausler (Babyshambles, Everything Everything) and the band feel this is their strongest release to date.

Since forming in 2011 Mellor have released three singles and an EP, all of which have gained national radio play courtesy of Absolute Radio and BBC 6 Music. The band have earned glowing reviews from magazines such as NME and Artrocker and have a large and ever growing fanbase earned through a year of intensive touring and support slots for The Milk, Carl Barat and The Kooks.

  Your Illuminations
Hey Scarlet
14 February 2016
Your Illuminations, an English trio who produce anthemic rock, release their hard-hitting debut single 'Hey Scarlet'.

Your Illuminations have progessed from playing their small local scene to embarking on full UK tours and shows with major acts. This progression is 'Hey Scarlet' - a track that premiered in front of 14,000 people, amassed close to 1000 views a month on YouTube, and has boosted Your Illuminations from a small town band to a UK underground sensation. Your Illuminations are now looking to take their music and high octane live show to places they've never been. Not content with sold out headline shows and independent festivals in the North of England, the boys have their sights firmly set on UK and international scene. With a highly anticipated UK tour in February and new music slated for a mid-2016 release, Your Illuminations show no signs of slowing down yet.

ormed in Liverpool in 2014, Indie Pop/Rock band Seprona practice in an abandoned pub on the outskirts of Liverpool city centre where they have locked themselves away, writing profically. Each band member brings their own influences to Seprona's sound, but the band agree that the likes of Arctic Monkeys, The Black Keys, Interpol and Radiohead are their common demoninators.

The band's development deal with Rooftop Records, a label owned by Parr Street Recording Studio's Chris Taylor, gives Seprona access to recording time as well as valuable mentoring. Their large following in their home city is thanks to storming appearances at Sound City (May 2015) alongside The Flaming Lips, The Vaccines, and Belle & Sebastian, and FestEVOL (August 2015) alongside Serpent Power and Dave McCabe & the Ramifications.

The Band:
Daniel Badger (Lead Vocals, Guitar)
Sammy Issa (Guitar)
Tom Larkin (Bass)
Joe Grove (Drums)

"Seprona haunt the scene with their bottomless melodies and roaring beats. Playing this years Sound City, Seprona seem to be making more waves in Liverpool like never before, recently releasing track, Street Lights to commemorate their involvement within the dockland super-event. Watch out for their honest instrumental and subdued genius, you'll be captivated on the spot."
The Music Manual FestEVOL Part 1

"Simplistic yet powerfully effective with their simple yet refreshingly off-beat song structures and raw riffage, teamed with vocals reminiscent of those of The Zutons' Dave McCabe. The chilled indie-quartet are sure to put on a fantastic show and are well worth seeing to kick off your Threshold festival."

Peace v War is the brand new album from Electro pop pioneer Karel Fialka.

Recorded with the Racecar project (aka Kevin McGowan and Richard Rogers) in Gozo, the album is only available as a 12" vinyl LP or by download and features the iconic cover artwork of Grammy Design Award nominee Mike Ross.
Recording in a time of huge world events including the Ebola outbreak, the annexation of Crimea, and the disappearance of Air Malaysia MH370. DAESH had not even been heard of let alone being as now a de facto military force of potentially global proportions and the migrants now flooding Europe were just a trickle.

A musically startling, lyrically angry yet eternally hopeful commentary on our modern world, the album deals with the major themes of our time…war, hunger, inequality, political chicanery, media manipulation - passionately whilst never preachy.

His first taste of success was with “Armband” b/w “Ghosts, The Subway Strummer”, released on the indie Red Shift label in 1979 and played by John Peel, it had underground success in Europe. Charlie Gillett liked what Karel was doing and then signed him to Oval Records for a short time before Karel moved to the Blueprint label where he recorded and released “Still Life”, his first album which gained excellent reviews. The single “The Eyes Have It” was taken from “Still Life” and had chart success, but Blueprint folded suddenly just as the album was being distributed.

His self-recorded song, “Hey Matthew” was heard by Miles Copeland who signed Karel to IRS Records and the single became a UK Top 5 hit in 1987 and also charted in Europe. In the following years other albums under Karel’s name include a deconstruction of songs by The Doors called “Morrison Café” and also “Subterranean”, an album of songs by Bob Dylan which were treated in the same way. These mostly went to friends and fans and have become collectors’ items.

2009 saw the release of “Film Noir”, a limited edition album of 500 signed and numbered copies on a black CD. Featured guest artists include Tilda Swinton and Paul Roberts (Sniff  n the Tears). Karel has worked with and written for a wide range of artists and fellow travellers  including Nick Magnus, Jona Lewi, Paul Roberts, Colin Blunstone, Martin Stephenson, Cliff Richard etc as well as taking production duties for various projects.
Karel still performs live regularly.

Famed for his eighties recordings on Charlie Gillett's Oval Records and, later, Miles Copeland's influential IRS imprint, with hits such as 'The Eyes Have It' and 'Hey Matthew', singer-songwriter Karel Fialka is back with his most striking work yet on “Peace v War”.

Cockney John

How many times

Re-released January 2016

During the mid-1970s you could find yourself packed shoulder to shoulder with like-minded music-loving strangers in sweaty London clubs watching and listening to Punk and new wave music.

In 2013, we have Cockney John who is an enigma, a throwback from the life and music of that period but 100% fun.

This album is a musical cocktail of anything that was 70’s punk and new wave with a twist of today. That genre of music mixed with the original tunes from songsmith Vic Malcolm means that once you hear them you will not get them out of your head.

Cockney John is already a success, so much so that he needs his minder Geordie Jack at his side 24 hours a day 365 days a year.

Their first single “How Many Times” due for release on 22 May 2103 is already picking up airplay around Europe and we hope that you will give it a listen and play on your show.

“Music in 2016 will never be the same…”

“Every party should have a copy of this CD…”

Cockney John’s album “How many times” is available from Tabitha Records http:/www.tabitharecords.webs.com and on download from iTunes and Amazon.

Skaciety (pronounced the way you'd pronounce society) formed three years ago when Aiden Lamb (Bass/Lead Vocals), Benjamin Davison (Trombone/Backing Vocals), Harry Whatrup (Trumpet/Backing Vocals) Logan Haddrell (Guitar) and Will Freed (Drums) met at school in Sittingbourne, Kent.

Despite the fact the band are all still at school and college, they have played numerous gigs and festivals across the UK including appearances for the last two years at Blackpool's Rebellion Festival where songwriter and lead vocalist Aiden celebrated both his sixteenth and seventeenth birthdays.

Having all been victims of bullying in the past, the band chose to speak out about the issue by supporting anti-bullying organisation The Sophie Lancaster Foundation. They raised over £1000 for the charity during their appearances at summer festivals this year. Skaciety are also proud members of the local Kent Punk community and actively promote an initiative called Up The Kent which raises the profile of Kent's Punk scene.

New Single 'Step Back (Take a Look Around)' features none other than Laila K from Ska superstars Sonic Boom 6. The band start work on their second album in December when they will be working with producer Dave Chang (Capdown, Lightyear, 4ft Fingers).

Eleven tracks of Skate Punk-infused, Ska-driven and brass-laden Punk-Rock music that will make you wonder why the hell you havent listened to Skaciety yet...

God knows how young this ridiculously fun and energetic ska-punk outfit from Kent are, but they cracked out the brass for an amazing set that had everyone skankin their muddy boots off."

These five young lads took the stage by storm raising the energy levels to overload.

Skaciety, young SKA/Punk sensations from Kent, produced an amazing performance. Definitely ones to watch they left the stage to an amazing send off from the crowd who loved every minute of it and from the amount of Skaciety T-Shirts on show on the Sunday made themselves a whole load of new fans.
