UK Tour announced for December

Limited 7” available at www.leisureanddistrict.co.uk/shop/

Debut album ‘Nothing Gives’ out 2nd Dec via Leisure & District

"The perfect punk album for a generation of dejected but hopeful twentysomethings" – Loud & Quiet

“Slowcoaches are the London-based trio making garage rock great again.” – NME

The latest single to be revealed from Slowcoaches’ forthcoming debut album is the party-fuelling ‘54’. As frontwoman Heather explains, “This one’s about our mate’s house in Leeds. The party house. Number 54. The lyrics are ‘Its a little VICE up there and sweaty down here’ Loads of people have heard those lyrics wrong. Sounds pretty gross in a few ways.”

A 7” limited to 250 copies is available on the band’s Bandcamp with B-side, a cover of Radio Birdman’s ‘New Race’, on the reverse. The fast, furious, clatteringly majestic and downright fun debut album ‘Nothing Gives’ will be released via Leisure & District on 2nd December with the band heading off on a headline tour of the UK immediately following its release. This year Slowcoaches have played with the likes of White Lung, Japandroids and Titus Andronicus. They’ve also been instigating wild parties with their live show in many a weird and wonderful location.

In spite of its overall fun-sounding aesthetic, ‘Nothing Gives’ details all the bad stuff that happens in life: break-ups, breakdowns, a pre-mid life crisis, a drug induced mental illness, falling out with friends, getting way too wrecked, losing your job then desperately trying to find a job… the list goes on. “When I looked at the lyrics for this album all together I thought, ‘oh man, this is so bleak!” says frontwoman Heather, who is handily currently studying to become a therapist. However, for the listener who doesn’t quite fancy ending up in a dark pit of despair after listening, the record makes for a surprisingly upbeat collection. “It’s bittersweet, isn’t it?” shrugs guitarist Matt.

Part of the reason for the intensity of the lyrics is the fact that Heather suffers from severe anxiety and has experienced panic attacks since the age of 7. Yet its in playing really fucking noisy music that she finds respite. “It’s really cathartic,” she explains. “No matter how shitty or depressed I feel, I can always play a show. Being really loud and abrasive helps. I’ve never had stage fright in my life – I just have normal, day-to-day fright!”

FAST-RISING US INDIE ROCKERS FOXTRAX RELEASE DEBUT SINGLE

Underwater arrives following Ticketmaster New Music Favourites performance, Sofar Sounds residency & Spotify placements in USA

A beautiful debut EP pulsing with fresh creative hunger throughout five radio-ready tracks - Indie Shuffle

It seems like they have been gigging for years – they are tighter than a hipster’s jeans - TicketWeb

A compelling marriage between The Killers’ epic rock and Future Islands’ dark pop - Deli Magazine

New York indie-rock buzz-band FOXTRAX will release their debut radio single Underwater on Monday 14th November. The anthemic debut track from the fast-rising trio is an impressive cocktail of pounding drums, soulful vocals and shimmering guitar riffs.

After just over a year as a band, FOXTRAX have enjoyed a stellar start to their career. Almost immediately after forming, the band wrote, recorded and self-produced their debut EP The Cabin in a secluded studio deep in the woods of North Carolina. The songs were then given a radio-friendly final mix by Florence & The Machine/Wolf Alice producer Ben Roulston, who became an instant FOXTRAX fan on hearing their first batch of songs. Industry tastemakers were quick to spot the band’s ear for classic hooks, with Spotify including Underwater on their Fresh Finds playlist and Sirius XM playing the band on their Alt Nation and The Spectrum shows. In October, FOXTRAX were hand-picked by Ticketmaster as one of only 5 New Music Favourite artists invited to play performances streamed live on Facebook, and the boys also enjoyed a weekly residency with Sofar Sounds in Los Angeles. If 2016 is ending brightly, 2017 looks set to go supernova - FOXTRAX are already confirmed in the first wave of SXSW announcements as official showcasing artists, and they’re set to blow away audiences at US and UK festivals next summer. Underwater is a perfect introduction to a new band going places, and fast.

Hailing from the bustling music scene of Manchester, White Eskimo make melodic punk-pop as indebted to The Jam’s early days as it is Green Day, with guitars that wouldn't be out of place on a Foo Fighters track. After meeting on a music course at college, the original line-up included Harry Styles of One Direction fame. After refining the line-up and playing small to medium size venues across the country, plus festivals in the UK and US, the band are now preparing to unleash their new single.

'Game Time' is an energetic slice of pop-punk perfection. At just 2 minutes thirty, it's a fast paced riot of cranked-up guitars and irresistibly catchy hooks that you won't want to get out of your head! Written by the band, the track is a tongue in cheek look at lad culture and their experiences of going out in Manchester for the first time as 18 year olds.

White Eskimo care about hair, have differing opinions on the merits of McBusted and could give you a tip or two about farming. Though he doesn’t remember it, their skateboarding lead singer Will was blessed just before birth by Little Richard on his way out of the men’s room of a hotel in LA…

Wayne Woodward who is based in London, England.

After becoming well known across the UK with his Sinatra-esque singing on ITV's Britain's Got Talent, and narrowly missing out on winning the final by just 3% of the votes, Wayne Woodward returns with his new single N.U.M.B from his forthcoming album of the same name.

Consisting of all original material and produced by Jay Picasso at Starcity Studios in London, Wayne Woodward's music has been described as embodying the modern British pop culture, whilst paying homage to Motown classics and Jazz.

Details on how you can purchase Wayne Woodward's material along with further information on him can be found on his website www.waynewoodwardmusic.com or you can follow him on social media at www.facebook.com/wwoodwardmusic www.twitter.com/wwoodwardmusic and www.instagram.com/wwoodwardmusic

Alternative acoustic singer songwriter based in Ireland and this is his debut album.

The album has a unique style, with a beautifully distinctive vocal and guitar playing that provides the songs with just the right amount of breathing space. Once you add the emotive left field lyrical content to the mix you end up with an exciting new talent that sounds absolutely unlike any other artist around!

Ronan displays an approach to song writing that is refreshingly unique and instantly recognisable. Weaving a beguiling tapestry of intricate guitar work, idiosyncratic lyrics and heart-felt vocals, Ronan’s songs are strikingly original, exploring a broad range of philosophical themes in a fresh and contemporary fashion.

He has developed a style that is very much his own, shedding fresh light on ancient core themes of the human condition and re-exploring timeless frustrations from a contemporary perspective. As a former student of famed Mexican guitar duo Rodrigo y Gabriella, he has acquired a reputation as a guitarist of renown and uses his skills to enhance and compliment his songs using subtle lines and clever licks.

Late night legacy -

This young, charismatic funk rock band based in Leeds joined forces in late 2015 with a mutual love for creating and playing original uplifting music and work quickly spread about the new sound in town. Goodnight the Sky describing them as ‘…my go-to suggestion to all hoping to remain on the cutting edge of great new music. Effortlessly cool and hometown heroes to boot, the bluesy four piece are the perfect addition to anyone’s record collection‘.

Quickly establishing themselves on the Leeds live circuit, one of their first gigs was to win Radio Aire's prestigious Battle of the Bands in Nov 2015 which subsequently saw them opened for Duran Duran at Leeds First Direct Arena to industry execs and VIP ticket holders.

This year has seen a highly successful first festival season where they were asked to  share the stage with bands such as Maximo Park, Reef, The Fratellis, Lightning Seeds, The Rifles and Slow Readers Club. The year culminated with the band being crowned Artist of the Week by Richer Sounds and the bands last single was mailed out to over a million subscribers

Their jaw-dropping high energy and explosive live performances have earned major competition success and a remarkable catalogue of festival gigs just months after the band formed, all of which have re-booked the band for 2017. The musicianship, originality and memorable stage presence keep attracting great acclaim and plaudits from music media…

‘Sounding like Black Label Society with a Chilli Peppers twist…. the four-piece unleashed a classic sound with a maturity and polish not often found in bands so young, following in the footsteps of Alt-J and Pulled Apart By Horses in the crusade to keep the Leeds scene alive.’ : RATTLE MAG

’they sounded  like If Eddie Vedder sang for Incubus or the Red Hot Chilli Peppers ... if you like funk, soul, blues, rock and everything in between there is something for you. These guys are a must see band and definitely one to watch out for in the future!’

TMFS Media

'It's like @LNLegacy went to school where the only teachers were Hendrix and the Chili Peppers ' : The Loop Artist

‘ A proper feel good bounding track‘ (Of Our Times) : BBC Introducing
