LUNA TIDES are a four-piece Folk/Rock band from Vale of Glamorgan, Wales. Originally under the name Thomas Seddon, they announced the new band name on the 24th January 2016 at the Free For All Festival, Cardiff

Their songs are inspired by growing up surrounded by the raw and inviting welsh coastlines; as well as artists such as Fleetwood Mac, Paul Simon and more recently, Aurora.

The first single 'Over the Cliffs' was praised by the likes of BBC Radio Wales’ Bethan Eflyn & Adam Walton, as well as being featured on 6 Music’s Tom Robinson ‘FOTN’ Mixtape.

Over the past 7 months, Luna Tides have supported the likes of Top Loader and Into the Ark on tour, and have graced the stages of festivals; The Big Cwtch and DimSwn.

Luna Tides made it into the final 120 longlist of the Glastonbury Emerging Talent Competition - Indie Music UK quoted, "One of the brightest artists to comes out of Wales in recent years!"

They are set to release their debut EP - Open Woods - on the 24th November 2016, with a launch party that same night at Cardiff’s infamous Clwb Ifor Bach, in conjunction with The Forte Project and the Young Promoter’s Network.

To escape from the normality of society, GALAKTIQ aim to create a unique futuristic sound that can connect and inspire societies all across the world. Their style, which they call Fuji-pop, comes from their Arabic background fused with pop and urban sounds. Their crossover influences ranging from Nigeria, Middle East and America, along with their fashionable approach suggests the duo are going to take the industry by storm.

After releasing alternative pop track ‘Vibin’’ GALAKTIQ caught the attention of many, leading them to support the likes of Akon, Pitbull, Lady Gaga and One Direction.

The song, produced by Grammy award-winner, Kuk Harrell, is an up-tempo, energetic dance track. Harrell, who has been pivotal in Rihanna’s career, and has also worked with Justin Bieber and Beyoncé, believes that Desmond John’s first release has all the makings of an international hit.

A singer, songwriter and musician, Desmond John was born in Germany to a South African mother and British father. He spent his formative years in Frankfurt and Johannesburg, but calls Cape Town his home and has recently also spent time in the UK and Atlanta, USA. An avid footballer, as a young boy Desmond John dreamed of achieving fame on the field. However, having both a sporty and a musical bent, from the age of thirteen he began expressing himself through music.

While experimenting with a friend at a Johannesburg studio, he was overheard by a visiting comedian from the United States who – impressed by Desmond John’s sound - encouraged him to come to Atlanta. Here, after being introduced to various Grammy Award-winning producers and musicians, he began working with industry leaders such as Kuk Harrell, Kendrick Dean, DJ Toomp, Li’l Ronnie, ‘Mama’ Jan Smith (America’s premier vocal coach), and others, to further develop his musical abilities.

Drawing his inspiration from legends such as Michael Jackson, Bruno Mars, Babyface, Justin Timberlake and Drake among others, Desmond John has developed his own compelling sound – part pop, part R&B, with richly layered vocals.

As a global millennial whose worldview embraces all cultures and creeds, his music has appeal that goes beyond age groups or geographic boundaries. In his first single, Untradable, set to be released in the UK at the beginning of November, he combines his love for pop music and dance-ready vibes with a catchy, melodic hook – a pulsating preview of what the “next” trend in sound will be.

Commenting on the choice of song as his first release, Desmond John said: “From the minute I heard the song in Kuk’s studio, I knew it was the one I wanted to do. We both felt we were on to something good with ‘Untradable’ – it’s just a really great song. I’m excited about releasing in the UK, as I have strong British roots and am eager to start my musical journey from here. Please join me on the ride,” he says with a smile.
