Wanted to see what you think to this really cool new Jacko Hooper video for ‘Closer’ which has just been unveiled:

“The music video was shot across one day in the area that I grew up,” says Jacko. “Me and the guys from Six Bells Production wanted to get across a feeling of longing and escapism. The lead character in this is running away from his life and whatever problems he may be facing by escaping the city and leaving it all behind.”

Liverpool based Xander and the Peace Pirates are a testament to great musical integrity and personal strength. Combining soul, blues and rock, their pervasive blend of inspired song writing and stunning performances has already seen them enrapture audiences from around the world.

After sharing the stage with legends such as Bon Jovi, Buddy Guy, Van Morrison, Eric Bell (Thin Lizzy) and Joe Satriani they are back with their new single ‘Fire’ taken from their album ‘11:11’ released on November 20th, coinciding with a launch party at the infamous Cavern Club.

Brothers Keith and Stu Xander were discovered on YouTube by Gibson Brands CEO, Henry Juszkiewicz, and during their subsequent performances for the company at numerous international events, the band caught the attention of not just an ever-growing collective of fans but also industry legends.

Front-man Keith Xander is a virtuoso musician in his own right and his playing rivals the best in the industry. The fact that he was born without a lower right arm hasn’t hindered his playing whatsoever, his unique picking via a plectrum attached to a hook on his prostatic arm, pays testament to his stunning playing abilities. This band certainly kickass live, and continue to share their musical passion to standing ovations!

"Not only is he immensely talented on the guitar and vocals, he burns with an unbelievable passion for the music, pouring every ounce of energy into his performance.” Screamer magazine LA

2014 also saw Jamie look for musicians to take his songs out live.  Jamie was joined by experienced drummer/musician Geraint Vernon early in 2014 and rehearsals followed soon after.  They were joined by Jamie’s son Dan on bass and shortly after Paul Harrison on guitar and b/vocals.   A couple of short warmup shows were done by the band over 2014 at Conwy Beer Festival and Conwy’s Prom Xtra Festival in August.  Late 2014/ early 2015 has seen the band joined by a new bass player Darren Sidell and Dan has now moved over to keyboard duties.

2015 saw the release of a single called ‘Save Me’ which has had airplay on independent radio stations across the UK.  A number of live shows at local music festivals and charity events then followed over the course of the year with Jamie writing and recording material for a new album made up of songs already in the live set and brand new material. A new album is on the horizon this year and the continued development/promotion of the band in the live music scene throughout the UK and beyond.

What Are You Thinking About?' by Kent (UK) based punk/indie/pop band 'Red Light Runner' www.facebook.com/redlightrunneruk and www.twitter.com/redlighttweeter who draw comparisons to the likes of Jimmy Eat World, Gaslight Anthem and Weezer

Her debut single Time to Stop the Rain was picked up by Australian retailers as well as BBC Radio Bristol and the rotation playlist of her local Isle of Wight Radio station. The track also featured on more than 20 UK radio stations this summer as well overseas play in the US and Portugal… Easy to see why this rising star is already on the radars of industry heavyweights such as Greg Haver (Manic Street Preachers, Melanie C, Tom Jones) Devine Evans (US x5 Grammy producer/songwriter for Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Justin Timberlake) and Grammy Winner Amy Wadge (Ed Sheeran).

BeX was recently chosen to be part of an inspiring Book & Soundtrack project empowering

females in the music industry to bring awareness to the struggles women can face, and BeX shares her advice within the book, called 'Sheet Music - A Diary Of a Songwriter' - by Devine Evans. Queen Latifah & Janelle Monáe  is also involved in the project and you can find out more at : www.thediaryofasongwriter.com

With influences growing up listening to the likes of her icons, Eva Cassidy, Carole King & The Corrs, these artists really have inspired her creativity, BeX style brings the elements and qualities from her favorites artists P!nk, Sheryl Crow & Anastacia, and a country feel of the Dixie Chicks & Lady Antebellum, and with the essence of all these influences 'BeX' creates a unique sound that has daytime radio and sell out shows written through it.

Her album is a work in progress scheduled for release first quarter 2017 and BeX is collaborating with the likes of Music producer & Songwriter Alan Glass ( Aretha Franklin, George Benson, Earth Wind & Fire ), Greg Haver, Amy Wadge on the much anticipated long player. Major industry have already ear-marked the Isle of Wight act as a breakthrough 2017 act and BeX is in regular touch with key players at Syco, BMG worldwide and Universal.

Luke Potter -

new single, 'Something More', will be released via iTunes, Spotify, Apple Music and all the major digital providers on November 11th but will also be available for pre-order from iTunes on October 8th :)

The Mono LPs have to be Liverpool’s most loved post-rock band. Their music is a clever creation of, riff driven rock ‘n’ roll with a twist of cello.

BBC Introducing Liverpool “Fantastic band. They just keep getting better and better!”

“Outstanding vocals” Kyle Falconer (The View)

With a catalogue of gigs including supports with The Maccabees and British Sea Power, they have created their own unique sound; akin to Arctic Monkeys and The Black Keys.

L.O.V.E. & H.A.T.E is the lead single taken from their new album, State of Decay. It’s a punchy song that makes a poignant statement about how love and hate can be as small as two people in a relationship or as big as two countries at war.

The Mono LPs previous releases have all received rave reviews from You Heard It Here First, UK Music Reviews, Classic Rock’s Track of the Day among others.

Fans include names such as Elvis Costello, Blood Red Shoes and The View.

Goldsands’ genre-defying sound is most comparable to groups like Radiohead, The Beatles and Coldplay, and is the result of the band members’ eclectic musical backgrounds. Liam’s rock background provides a driving groove, Tom brings a jazz flare, Ramsey takes his cue from the experimental sounds of the 60's, James gives suitable guitar ambience and Matt is a sucker for a pop hook

Two of the bands members Matt and Tom Rhodes are brothers, adding to the group’s tight sense of synergy.

The group is set to embark on a UK tour spanning from London to Edinburgh.

The Filthy Tongues have occupied a unique place at the heart of Scottish alternative rock, in various manifestations, since the mid 80’s.

The single Jacobs Ladder, taken from the bands album of the same name has received numerous BBC Scotland plays and the album a 4 star Scottish Express review. God is in the TV said about the album “These songs wrap themselves around you like a warm blanket and effortlessly soothe your soul.”

The single has now received a magical remix from the sublime creative ears of Miaoux Miaoux. He said about the remix “Really enjoyed reshaping the Filthy Tongues' dark visions of Scotland's capital with some brooding breakbeats and acid bass, hopefully it scares you a little bit”

Glaswegian psyche/dance hybrid machine Medicine Men will release new single In The Breeze via Neon Tetra Records on November 11th.

Colombo -

If you’re not familiar… The band are an unlikely mashup between sought-after dance remixer Trailermen and the bass player of UK ska and dub crowd-pleasers Maroon Town and were snapped up by Richard Branson’s V2 label on the basis of their quirky single, ‘Rockabilly Bob’ in the 90’s (video here: https://vimeo.com/87766479). The single charted and garnered critical acclaim but disillusioned by their major label experience, Columbo walked out on V2 (read the full story below).

However, a longtime fan of the band and owner of the Banoffeesound label in 2016 wanted to find out what happened to Columbo and now dusted off, polished and augmented, the album and new single are finally, and for the very first time, getting the proper release they always merited.
