Rayne -lost and confused
Creating a sound much bigger than the sum of their parts, Ben Potts (vocals), Adam Dagg (guitar/keys) and Steven Naisbet (drums) have been steadily building Rayne’s reputation as a ‘must see’ live act on the UK gig circuit since rising to the finals of Live and Unsigned in 2010. Originally forming whilst still at school, these years of developing their craft has moulded the band into an exciting British act with an ever growing fan base both in the UK and overseas.
As one of North-East England’s best kept secrets for many years, Rayne’s music has since garnered strong support from both rock and indie press alike with various singles receiving radio airplay across the world. Joining the roster of independent label Ambicon Records in late 2012, Rayne broke into the new year with extensive tours, live radio sessions and interviews. Both free download singles 'Fallen' and 'Raise The Alarm' (taken from their debut album 'The New Enlightenment') have helped cement the bands reputation as one with the potential to achieve great heights.
Intent on striving for new heights of recognition, Rayne are currently recording tracks for their new album release in early 2014.

Qlub 4ntz who are based in Surrey, England

After both previously being in cover acts, producers Cris Jones and Daniel Kain decided to set their sights higher by creating their own club orientated music called Qlub 4ntz.
Their first album titled The Featurings Part 1 is now available to purchase through all major download stores and has been described as containing nine meticulously produced dance tracks featuring various artists, each with their own tone and character to their voices.
The interest gained from the album has already resulted in a number of radio stations around the world playing tracks from it.  In addition to this, they have also had their music included in an advert for a well known razor company which is being played in cinemas throughout Mexico, and are in the running for the 2014 Best Dance Artist at Hollywood’s acclaimed Artists In Music Awards.
Further information on Qlub 4ntz can be found on their website www.reverbnation.com/qlub4ntz  or you can follow them on Facebook at www.facebook.com/qlub4ntz

baby Blue -Bump

Hugely talented rapper/singer Baby Blue is back with a brand new banger - “Bump”. Following on from the massive success of “Magnetic Eyes” - her recent chart smash with Matrix & Futurebound - “Bump” is Blue’s breakthrough solo single.
In the official video for “Bump” Blue looks every inch the superstar, poised to
take her rightful place as the UK’s first lady of rap.
VIDEO: youtu.be/0xRVtBHEI9w
The track is a fusion of emotive rap lyrics with a hugely catchy hook that showcases Baby Blue’s impressive singing voice. Swedish super producers Quiz & Larossi, who already have six UK number 1s under their belt, bring their immense skills to bear on the single.
“Bump” was co-written with top songwriter Ina Wroldsen who has scored hit after hit with some of the best-known names in pop such as Leona Lewis, One Direction, Pixie Lott, Britney Spears, The Saturdays and Tinchy Stryder. She also wrote James Arthur’s chart topper “Impossible”.
“Bump” debuted on Charlie Sloth’s show on 1Xtra to a big audience reaction and much excitement from Charlie himself who said wants to make it his Record of The Week – watch this space! Spot plays have also come from 1Xtra’s DJ Target and Choice FM’s Firin Squad.
The remix bundle features some of the hottest talent around including Dubstep star Koven as well as Diztortion who’s been getting a lot of attention for his work on Stylo G’s “Soundbwoy” and Lethal Bizzle’s “They Got It Wrong” featuring Wiley.
Blue’s recent street release “Soap Box” received solid support from 1Xtra (Charlie Sloth’s ROTW plus spot plays from Target, Viz and Nick Bright), Choice FM (Woody, Manny Norte, Firin Squad, Ras Kwame) and Rinse FM. Radio 1’s Huw Stephens was also a fan.

SID BATHAM-‘The One With The Gun’
London’s 22 year-old Sid Batham is giving away his track ‘The One With The Gun’, for just the smallest glimpse of the huge pop weapons in his arsenal.
‘The One With The Gun’, taken from his forthcoming first album, is a soaring example of just why Sid is turning multiple heads. A voice unarguably unique with the ability to flit between smooth turns and raw-edged, passionate emotion in a split second, ‘The One With The Gun’ is a soulful, funk-flecked track, channelling classic hooks reminiscent of early Justin Timberlake, and tying it all with an unashamedly huge pop bow. File somewhere between the legendary Prince and the credibly smooth Miguel and you’d be halfway to categorising the epic sound that reinforces Sid’s huge chart-topping aspirations.
But unlike your average pop artist, Sid writes all of his own music, playing guitar and piano and co-producing his entire first album with new producer Sigala, even before being signed. With a forthcoming slot on the main stage at this year’s Lovebox festival, confirmed on the strength of Sid’s first ever gig – unheard of for an artist without any releases available - Sid Batham and his six-strong live band have already won rave reviews from the likes of industry tastemakers Music Week and Record of the Day who said the music industry is ‘raving about him.’
With further support from the likes of recent PMR signing Cyril Hahn who sampled Sid’s forthcoming single ‘All Lies’ for his own debut single after discovering Sid online and Notion Magazine who called his debut ‘Reputation EP’ ‘unique, mercurial pop’, Sid Batham is one artist to keep your eye firmly on in the second half of 2013.

Two Choices who are based in Brighton, England.

Previously promoted by Deuce in November 2011 resulting in high acclaim from radio stations and listeners, Two Choices now return with their new EP Somewhere Overnight.
Taking their name from an incident on a campsite where they were nearly chucked out for singing and playing guitars in the early hours of the morning, Two Choices have achieved more than a number of established bands can ever dream of, including supporting Rock & Roll giants The Who at the Brighton Centre, several tours of the West Country, a European Tour in 2009 and a US tour in 2010.
Their new EP was recorded in London and has been described as having a different more raw sound to their previous material, and is now available to purchase through all major download stores.  Detail on this along with further information on Two Choices can be found on their website www.facebook.com/twochoices

ARTIST: Bo Keeney

“Jump The Gun” Bobby Tank mix

“Up In Smoke” Spectrasoul mix
“I Got A Letter” My Nu Leng mix

“Golden Telephone” Throwing Snow mix

“Jump The Gun” Bo Keeney Vs Mix
California born and UK-residing, genre-hopping music polymath Bo Keeney follows up his debut EP “Don’t You Worry” - an immersive collection of soul, funk, jazz and electronica with his second EP “Versus” coming out 26th August 2013 on Blue Box Recordings.
Debut EP “Don’t You Worry” was recorded in a shipping container just outside Winchester and saw Bo unapologetically slip and slide between genres making for a thrilling introduction to a young artist not set on being pigeonholed.
The follow up “Versus” EP sees Bo's own productions and thrilling vocals woven amongst the most exciting emergent producers in the UK.
Maximalist hero Bobby Tank, deep and minimal D&B dons Spectralsoul, label of the moment Black Butter’s My Nu Leng, the unclassifiable but distinctive sound of Throwing Snow and also Bo himself gets his production hands on “Jump the Gun”.
Hand picked by Bo as the cream of sounds exciting him on the underground, the “Versus” EP carves out a powerful space for Bo by using songs that he wrote and produced as the backbone of an exciting progression into ‘where it’s at’ in cutting edge music.

BEF -single ‘Every Time I See You I Go Wild’ on Sound Records.
Video here: www.muzu.tv/bef/bef-feat-kim-wi…usic-video/1951200/
PRESS RELEASE:
I’m so proud to work on a BEF project, how fantastic to be part of an array of wonderful artists coming together under one vision. I’ve always been a huge Stevie Wonder fan, Martyn and I are really pleased with the result of ‘I go wild’. Kim Wilde.
There’s a little bit of darkness in all our souls and even the purest maestros of pop like a foray to the other side from time to time. Like a ‘society for the digital slipper’ or ‘an electronic circle of The Masons’, BEF (British Electric Foundation) is the indulgent collaboration of an experimental collective of artists decadently exploring their outer limits, illuminated by the master of ceremonies and pioneer of synth pop himself - Martyn Ware.
The third in the ‘Music of Quality and Distinction’ series ‘Dark’, as the title would suggest, is a unique re-working of covers from stars who shine brightly, dimming the lights for personal takes on twisted torch songs. Boy George performs The Stooges ‘I Wanna Be Your Dog’, Kim Wilde takes on Stevie Wonders ‘Every time I see you, I go wild’, Kate Jackson of The Long Blondes sings ‘Picture This’ originally performed by Blondie, Shingai Shoniwa from The Noisettes sings The Beach Boys ‘God Only Knows’ with plenty of other gems to discover from the likes of; Green Gartside (Scritti Politti), Andy Bell and Glenn Gregory.
The single will be accompanied with remixes for Black Asteroid and new Wall of Sound signing, Echoes.
"I had the pleasure of supporting Heaven 17 in 2011 with my band MOTOR. Martyn Ware is one of the artists that inspired me to make music, so I jumped at the offer to remix his latest B.E.F. release. Having the sensual vocals of Kim Wilde to work with sealed the deal." Black Asteroid
"It was a true honour to get the chance to remix Mr Martyn Ware and Ms Kim Wilde's fantastic track...with such an amazing vocal to work with, it came together very quickly, hopefully everyone will enjoy our mix, on headphones and on the dancefloor..." Echoes
The single also comes with an accompanying video written and directed by multi award winning filmmaker, Paul D. Kim Wilde, clad in a skin tight black PVC catsuit, battles zombies, vampires, werewolves and demons, as she fights to attract the attention of her love interest, but what will happen when they finally come face to face? Shot on the Red One MX in a Victorian cemetery and at a trendy London nightclub, this is certainly a video which will turn heads!
Coming out of the Sheffield electronic music scene in the early 80’s, Martyn Ware (best known as keyboards/ production for Heaven 17 and founder member of The Human League) fast became one of the most widely respected producers of the 80’s, 90’s and beyond. Working with artists as diverse as Tina Turner to Erasure and developing a unique 3D surround Sound System, which has been used in teaching therapy and for state of the art technology installations. Martyn created BEF in 1980 with fellow Heaven 17 member, Ian Craig Marsh, the ethos behind their ensuing albums, being to give featured vocalists the opportunity to cover their favourite songs from different lyrical perspectives.
With the participation of some of the biggest vocal names from several decades, BEF have established themselves as the choice of critics with a loyal following of electronic music fans. Signing to Wall Of Sound Records was a natural choice. With a proud roster of electronic breakthrough and heritage artists, BEF sits comfortably on the roster amongst acts such as The Human League, Grace Jones, Royksopp and Mekon. Label head honcho Mark Jones and Martyn have worked together on several projects over the years including the Back to The Phuture Heaven 17/ La Roux collaboration for 6 Music.

Latimer House - "This is Pop"
Available now.
"Like the quirky sound of this, catchy tune too!" says Chris Straw from Hallam FM.
Latimer House release their debut single “This Is Pop” ahead of their album "All The Rage" and despite their location in the heart of Europe they come out reeking of Britain.
They are a four-piece band based in Prague that make guitar-driven, literate, pop music, encapsulated in their debut single, This Is Pop / Shake!
The band have been together for three years and feature singer and guitarist Joe Cook, drummer George Komínek, keyboardist Anar Yusufov and bassist Michael Jetton.
Latimer House are influenced by mainly 70's and 80's new wave and classic indie.
The band have been busy writing catchy tracks and "This is Pop! " resembles the early work of The Strokes and The Cribs and is a taste of things to come.
Gary Crowley, Amazing Radio. September 2013. “Our next band hail from Prague in the Czech Republic. They’ve just released their debut single, on one side is a song entitled Shake!, which we’ll play another time. But this one definitely caught my attention, if "This Is Pop" then I definitely want to meet Mum!”
Biography: They began in 2010 when drummer and percussionist George Kominek (from Toronto) and Joe Cook (London) on guitar and vocals booked a rehearsal room to jam song ideas. Keyboard player Anar Yusufov (Baku) joined later that year, bringing some musical breadth, and in early 2011 bassist Michael Jetton (Virginia) moved in to help nail it all together.
In May 2012 they went into Faust Studios in Prague with engineer Derek Saxenmeyer to begin work on recording their first collection of songs.
They were joined in the studio by Jim Thompson, who came over from England to play mandolin and violin. Add to the mix, Jan Keller, the world’s coolest cellist who sports a Mohican and plays with the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra. Throw in a touch of Tommy Levvechia and his trumpet, and also guitarist Justin Lavash and you have a new dynamic to the sound of Latimer House.
"This Is Pop" is out now on Honk Records, and is available on 7” coloured vinyl and invisible digital at www.latimerhouse.com and the usual digital outlets.
The single is also available at the Sister Ray record shop in London's Soho.
Their debut album "All The Rage" is released early 2014 on vinyl, CD and digital.

Menace Beach - 'Fortune Teller' is released on January 13th 2014!
Taken from the new EP 'Lowtalker' on Memphis Industries (Also released January 13th 2014).
www.memphis-industries.com
www.facebook.com/menacingbeaches
Menace Beach have already been supported by BBC 6Music (including a Marc Riley session) and Huw Stephens (BBC Radio 1).
Menace Beach are Leeds based twosome Ryan Needham
(vocals, guitar) and Liza Webster (vocals / guitar / synths) plus a revolving cast of local musicians.
Lowtalker is the band's first release for their new label home Memphis Industries following a string of singles, including the Dream Out EP on French label Desire Records and the Drop Outs 7" on the acclaimed Too Pure Singles Club.
Written over a summer of endless bleary-eyed bouts of insomnia, the first few Menace Beach tracks captured the zero attention span and spontaneous, weird-out nature of a couple of minds totally zoned-in to a fuzz pedal and a cassette recorder in the dead of night.
After several un-treated breakdowns and a subsequent rash decision to relocate to Leeds, Ryan and Liza shacked up with MJ (Hookworms) to re-imagine their crackly 8-track demos. Joining them on the session, were friends Nestor Matthews (Sky Larkin) Matt Spalding, and Robert Lee (Pulled Apart By Horses) who fought their way through Liza’s rats nest of cables and home-made synth modules to blast through the songs during another all-nighter, having so much fun in the process that they all decided to stick around.
The Menace Beach vortex has amazingly also recently sucked in Paul Draper of Mansun who performed with them on their Marc Riley session for BBC 6 Music.
Ryan says of the new EP : “If, lyrically, the first load of songs we did were a document of losing it again, being ill, moving cities, and all that comes with that, then I guess the songs on Lowtalker are about the aftermath of that; getting better, making friends and trying to reconnect mentally and
spiritually. I feel like there’s a lot of positivity on there”.
Lowtalker was recorded, produced and mixed with MJ at his Suburban Home studios in Leeds over four pizza, coffee and falafel fuelled days. The result is a kaleidoscopic vision of fuzzed out, psych-y pop exemplified by key tracks Fortune Teller and Where I Come From.
After a busy summer of festivals and shows with the likes of Hookworms, Drenge, Parquet Courts and Traams, Menace Beach will soon be playing with Pulled Apart By Horses and Blood Red shoes for a show supporting the homeless and housing charity Shelter.

Pioneering British rock’n’roll, the super-suave four-piece Kaleidophone are presenting their new single ‘What You’re Made Of’. Out Jan 13th 2014.
The track is a fresh take in the indie genre - engineered to the tee with a range of shamelessly high-driven melodies and uplifting sounds.
‘What You’re Made Of’ has multiple approaches to the guitar, mighty choral waves and smashing drums driving the song towards an uninhibited crescendo.
Forged within the band’s own recording studio, the feeling of a quality, powerful and invested song comes across very clearly.
Kaleidophone, was formed in 2007 in Maidstone, Kent includes: Al Holland, James Holland, Mark Thompson and Mark Wells.
They cite their influences as outfits like The Wombats and Vampire Weekend, while also praising traditional motivators like Jeff Buckley and the Eagles.
But unlike most bands, the four-piece built their own recording studio as they started their creative process back in 2007.
Using the studio as their nerve-centre, they spent years making records and producing the sound they have today.
Kaleidophone’s debut album ‘What’s Your Tonic’ was released in 2011, and was hailed a great success by the band.
Now they are looking to build on their accomplishments as a potentially massive British rock and roll act with the release of the distinguishing track ‘What You’re Made Of’.
‘What You’re Made Of’ is out on January 13, 2014

‘Rocket Out Of London’ which will be released April 7th.

‘Twist Up And Tangle’ sees Jack Kansas’s feverous vocals duel with Frank Pick’s explosive guitar,
whilst Adam Kilemore Gardens on bass and Chris Christianson on drums deliver the killer rhythm.

The B-side, ‘I Bring You Love’, morphs from a swampy blues stomp into an exhilarating slide-fuelled beat of raw power.

Great, Echo & the Bunnymen-ish vocal….This is vandalism with class.”  David Sinclair - The Times pop and rock critic

“If Nick Cave fronted a heavier Gang Of Four … Damn Vandals are one of the most exciting bands to surface from the UK this year, and 'Done For Desire' one of the most exciting debuts.” This is Fake DIY
