This new Brighton band pack one hell of a punch on their thrashing new track.” – DIY

“Crowned the city’s most exciting band…downright thrilling” - NME

Demob Happy kick their impulsive garage rock clatter into over-drive with relentless debut single ‘Succubus’.

With bottomless bass attack and duel guitars screaming with sustain, ‘Succubus’ lays into a dirty rock ‘n’ roll groove while lyrically, Demob Happy steer their disorderly garage tones to a dark and introspective place.

Frontman Matt Marcantonio adds: “It's about being sold an obsession in stuff. What's harmless to you feels like a love sucking demon bitch to me, quasi-supernaturally so, who leaves your front door open but your mind on pause.”

Leaving Brighton behind, the band ventured deep into the Welsh countryside to record ‘Succubus’, building their own studio in a desolate Carmarthen cottage away from the confines of the city.

Whether it’s battling in court for their gear back from the noise police, making music videos for £10, or recording and producing everything they do themselves, then returning the gear to the shop afterwards for a refund - Demob Happy didn't get it easy, they just made it look that way. Catch the band on tour from October 1st.

‘Succubus’ is due for release November 17thon 7” vinyl and digital download; with a cover of Technohead’s 90s rave anthem ‘I Wanna Be A Hippy’ on the B-side

TWO WEEKS RUNNING ANNOUNCE BRAND NEW EP - ‘HUMAN NATURE’ OUT
November 3RD 2014 WITH LEAD TRACK AND VIDEO - ‘BULLET TRAIN’

Two Weeks Running are set to make a triumphant return with their newest offering ‘Human Nature EP’, which is set to be released via Martian Pop Records on 03rd November 2014

Following the release of single ‘Holy Ghost’ back in February, the band received national radio support from Dj’s such as XFM’s John Kennedy and Ian Camfield, BBC Manchester and Lancashire Introducing, as well as making the Absolute Radio playlist as one of Geoff Lloyds’ ‘Unknown Pleasures’. The band were also featured as Artrocker’s ‘New Blood’ as well as being supported by XFM’s associated partner - ‘THIS FEELING” clubnight. Their live shows have become somewhat essential to witness. Their single launch in Manchester saw scenes of chaos, with a ram packed venue, crowd surfing and even footprints on the ceiling.
The Video for Holy Ghost saw the band pick up ‘Rock The House Best Music Video’ award where they had to collect their award in person at the Houses Of Parliament.
The Human Nature EP also contains tracks ‘Waste Of A Day’ which was picked by Steve Lamacq as a stand out track at a BBC Introducing Masterclass as well as the track “INHALE / EXHALE” which was picked by Tom Robinson for the BBC Introducing Mixtape. The EP further backs up just how good Two Weeks Running are musically and as a live band. You need this band in your life.

“Break-neck brilliance. “ This Feeling/XFM

“Catchy, interchanging guitar melodies topped with towering vocals. If this is where guitar music is heading then we’re all in for a treat” NME

Silly Little Things’
released 24th November
http://www.shannonsaundersofficial.com/

Fearlessly original, imaginative and instantly gravitational - Shannon Saunders is carving out her very own lane of crystalline pop with the release of her debut single ‘Silly Little Things’ on 24th November.

Backed by dance-infused, house-filtered beats, Shannon’s feisty cool vocals bounce around the crisp melodic hooks, coating the electro-savvy arrangements to create a sound that is very much her own yet confidently reminiscent.

‘Silly Little Things’ follows Shannon’s debut track, ‘Sheets', a song that has taken on a life of its own, dominating the Hype Machine chart at #1 when it emerged online earlier this year and receiving over 227k listens on SoundCloud by word-of-mouth alone.

Intriguing, experimental and seductive. Discover here...

Melodic explorer, Postcards From Jeff releases Veronica.  The eponymous Femme Fatale first emerged from a writing session in the multi-instrumentalist and producer's studio, located in the bleak moors between Leeds and Manchester.  Personifying a hyperreal yet impossible idea of femininity, of the kind portrayed by directors such as David Lynch and Alfred Hitchcock, Veronica is an exploration of the archetype rather than a condemnation or affirmation.

Musically, Postcards From Jeff seamlessly blends together far flung folk, electronica, country, krautrock and pop through a sonically curious adventure owing as much of a debt to Weilheim band The Notwist as to Ohio’s The National or even as far as Canada by taking inspiration from Neil Young.  With praise and plays from the likes of John Peel and Steve Lamacq behind him, Postcards From Jeff’s musically inquisitive mind comes with a newfound confidence, as he looks forward to releasing his debut album in spring 2015.

'

Veronica', the free to download single, gives us an indication of the themes explored in this highly anticipated debut.
