Jasper Story only 18 years old

Jasper Storey is pleased to announce the release of his brand new EP ‘Storeys’, out 28th September.

Bristol is home for the singer-songwriter, but it has become a rare occasion when he can settle back for any long length of time, before heading off to another gig in Bristol, Jasper set down to record his debut EP, along with his electric guitar.

The four tracks that form the ‘Storeys’ EP are united in their blissful and up-tempo outlook, a sound that has defined the 18 year old. The smokey whisper of Jasper’s voice has given way to something more romantic and rootsy on this recording. The songs are full of emotion and it’s here that Jasper reveals himself as an exceptional songwriter.

The Lowpoint of Disco – In Temporary Hero’s own words…

This track was written and produced on 15 May 2012. Any fan of the legend Donna Summer will recognize that as TWO days before she died. No one outside of Donna’s private circle knew she was ill. And I certainly did not know. And then she died. Suddenly. The timing of my writing the track was uncanny.

This song is probably the most autobiographical of any song I have written. In fact it IS a direct account of the freedom I gained personally through music, specifically dance music. I was ridiculed and basically embarrassed to like “that kind of music” so much so that I hid all my records, including THRILLER (which I purchased the day it was released) from my friends and roommates and even my family. It wasn’t until I was “freed on the dance floor,” introduced to the club culture by a more experienced friend, that I was finally comfortable in my own skin, both musically and personally. This song details the transformation and eventual empowerment that dance music afforded me.

And look at the world now… even the cool kids love dance music. Thank you Donna, and Michael, and all the artists who transformed my life through songs.

+ OCTOBER UK TOUR

The American singer-
songwriter releases her 14th album and announces her UK tour. Perhaps most known for the memorable theme song ‘Searching My Soul’ for the long running TV series ‘Ally McBeal’, she was the show’s musical director and appeared in  every episode as the resident performer at a bar where the characters would hang out. This album is her sixth collaboration with prodycer Mitchell Froom (Crowded House, Elvis Costello, Randy Newmna) and is reminiscent of early Aretha Franklin, harking back to the raw soul and sound of the 70’s.

Kalli Ashton who is based in Nottingham, England.

Despite being from Nottingham, Kalli Ashton's heart is very much in Nashville through her unique Country Pop sound and her Cherokee Indian ancestry.
Having already been featured on local BBC radio stations across the UK, as well as receiving rave reviews, it is expected you will be hearing a lot more from Kalli Ashton in the near future following the release of her new single Worth Your While which has been described as being a Country inspired gritty tale.

Dubbed as the biggest rap album to drop in the UK this year, AR15 – Concrete Jungle is officially OUT NOW and what better way to celebrate the release, than unleashing another massive track off the tape.

Featuring an all-star line up of three founding members of the Grime scene Skepta, Kano & Bashy come together for ‘Can’t See Me Again’ over a Nana Rogues produced beat premiered by The Fader http://www.thefader.com/2015/08/26/skepta-bashy-kano-cant-see-me-again. The trio take it in turns to rhyme about their lives, the changes, letting go of the past and moving on for the better.

Bashy explains ““It’s a long time since I’ve linked up with my brothers Skepta and Kano, we come from the original school of grime and it’s always a pleasure to be able to get back to the roots of where we came from. ‘Can’t See Me Again’ not only gave me the opportunity to do that but also look at where we’ve all got to at this point in time in our music."

After the huge success of ‘Trapping Aint Dead’ featuring Section Boyz, some strong foundations were made on which Squeeks, Sneakbo, Dubz, Stormzy & Mr Bigz built further with the release of ‘Out In The Jungle’, followed by the noteworthy line up, on the highly playlisted, single, Helpless, which features Wretch 32, Devlin & Swiss. Staying true to the streets and the DNA of the album, street smash ‘Running Away’ made it’s debut via Complex UK a few weeks back and now it’s time for the monster single ‘’Can’t See Me Again’ to hit the airwaves.

As one of the first successful independent record labels within the UK urban music scene, Alwayz Recordings has built a legacy which has helped to oversee the rise to fame for Chip, Wretch 32 and Paigey Cakey along with numerous other acts. In collaboration with GB Records, the two labels have joined together to create a mix-tape built on a foundation that understands the roots and reality of many emcees, commanding a respect that has enabled its founders to place unexpected emcees together to create a project of exciting, interesting and huge proportions.

This is one mix tape you don't want to sleep on!!

Info -

These Are The Days is the latest release from singer songwriter Eric McGrath.  The track is an optimistic, relaxed piece that instantly puts the listener in a happier frame of mind.  Released on M:89 Records on 11th September, the song reflects Eric’s soulful, chilled sound, which has been described as, "how a Norah Jones and Jack Johnson collaboration would have sounded in the 1920s".

Eric has worked on some interesting collaborations with leading international producers, including Jim Duguid at Pink Floyd's former studio, Britannia Row, London. His own international background, born in Dublin to a Spanish mother and an Irish father, reflects in his eclectic, refreshing sound, which is hard to pin down into one genre, giving it broad appeal. With a strong love of Latin grooves, 1920's North American song craftsmanship, and 1960's Surf harmonies, it wasn't long before Eric began to blend his diverse inspirations through his own unique compositions. After completing an honours degree in Chemistry, he finally succumbed to his true calling by obtaining a Masters in Music at Trinity College Dublin.

Now based in Melbourne, Eric arrived in Australia with a catalogue of new material ready to hit the ground running. His music is already proving a good fit amongst Melbourne's vibrant music-loving culture.

Eric’s instantly catchy harmonies, unusual chord progressions, and breezy instrumental arrangements (recorded at various farmhouses, mountain lodges, and recording studios all over Ireland) were captured in his debut album, Little Ripples, which was self penned, arranged, performed and produced and garnered critical acclaim. It still continues to enjoy regular national airplay having been playlisted on some of Ireland’s leading radio stations.

Be it performing at Electric Picnic or similar summer festivals, opening shows for such musical luminaries as Hozier, The Strypes and Bic Runga, Eric McGrath has been earmarked as one to watch.

Recent Critical acclaim for Eric McGrath:

"Little Ripples is a superb début offering indeed...... a slow burner that could be massive."

(EDWIN McFEE – HOT PRESS)

"Beautifully crafted song-writing and enveloping arrangements make Eric McGrath's debut album totally enchanting."

(JULIE FEENEY)

"......it's like being wrapped in an aural duvet...... I think we've found a rare talent in him."

(DANNY McELHINNEY - MAIL ON SUNDAY)

Nell Byrden – ‘Wolves’ (Neros Radio Edit

Radio Impact date –  25th September2015

Released via 157 Record NYC/Absolute/Universal

www.nellbryden.com

Nell Bryden’s new single is “Wolves”, taken from her Wayfarer album, but now featuring a stunning Radio Mix from Neros (Jack Savoretti, Thea Gilmore, Ruby Turner, Lauren Housley). It’s Nell’s first ballad since the iconic “Sirens” single from her previous album “Shake The Tree” almost two years ago, and follows the uptempo singles “All You Had”, “Wayfarer” and ”Waves”, which all enjoyed substantial radio play.

Nell has had quite a year. In June 2014 she married an Englishman in a fairytale church wedding in the Cotswolds. She released her Wayfarer album last July, which was a double album containing both produced and acoustic versions of the same songs, and was Radio 2 Album of the Week. Following her honeymoon, Nell performed at summer festivals including Kew Gardens and Carfest.

Last August Nell changed hats and presented her own show on Radio 2 called “Nell Bryden’s New York Nights,” celebrating and talking about the music she loves from both sides of the Atlantic. She returns to the network later this year to present her own 4 part series.

In September 2014 Nell started her largest ever UK tour, finishing with a return to the prestigious Bluesfest in London, which she performed with her band at 8 months pregnant.  In December Nell gave birth to her daughter, Tala, and released her first Christmas single, “May You Never Be Alone,”.

Nell returned to Nashville for the first time in five years for a songwriting trip in May 2015, to write for other artists following the interest generated from Cher’s cover of her song “Sirens.” In June she then performed on the Chris Evans Breakfast Show, which led to a booking at Carfest South. Having then returned to the US for the remainder of the Summer, Nell will be back in the UK in late August for festival appearances at Carfest and in Ramsgate, ahead of her UK tour in November.

Nell’s live performances are confirmed as follows:

New York Tourists are an alternative band described as Queens of The Stone Age meets Foals.

Their debut EP received rave reviews from some of the UK's most respected music media outlets and their song 'Chew Me Up, Spit Me Out' was selected as one of BBC Introducing's top 10 tracks of 2013. Hugely coveted support slots followed, with the band bagging appearances alongside the likes of The Subways, The View, The Sunshine Underground and Buzzcocks, together with a headline slot on the Alternative Stage at Blackburn Festival.

2014 saw New York Tourists' release their next record, an EP called 'Dead Man's Leather' via London based label Kittiwake Records. Again, noteable support slots followed with the band playing alongside We Are Scientists, The Cribs and Shed 7.

Earlier this year the band began recording their debut album which was funded by a successful Kickstarter campaign. In June New York Tourists played their biggest gig to date at Hogton Tower, Preston, in front of 12,000 people as the main support to legendary rock band Status Quo.
