Ben Montague ‘Sweet Amelia’
Released: 23rd June

Ben has spent the past two years writing and recording the album at Rockfield with producer Dave Eringa, who has worked with the likes of the Manic Street Preachers. It has a very pop rock influence but also has quite an acoustic singer/songwriter sound. ‘He is a rock guy and I write pop songs, we met in the middle’ says Ben. The last few months have seen Ben perform relentlessly around the country on his first major nationwide tour and he recently toured with Amy Macdonald.

Headed by an experienced all star production team including Binky Womack who is a nephew of Bobby Womack, and Troy (Cash) Wimbley who have worked with the likes of Tupac, Snoop Dog and Chaka Khan, JAE’s music is already creating a huge buzz in the US and abroad through the exposure she has been receiving.

Friday Club are a new band from Birmingham.
They previously worked with Dom Ganderton (PEACE/SUPERFOOD/WIDE EYED/ SWIM DEEP and have played a handful of prestigious gigs including This Feeling, supported Chase & Status, Labrinth and Black Tambourines. Friday Club have been working tirelessly, regularly playing some of UK’s hottest venues; including The Old Blue Last, Sunflower Lounge, Purple Turtle , Friars Court Warrington and will soon be supporting the likes of Jawws at Villa Park (Counteract Magazine Festival).

“…music that seems to encapsulate the meaning of feel good” Counteract Magazine

“…an instant, timeless catchiness to their sound” Hooting and Howling Magazine

The band has proved to be a big hit thus far, exploding onto the B-Town scene. They notched up well over a thousand listens within the first week of launching ‘All I Wanna Do Is’ online purely through band self promotion live.

Their live sound and live recording techniques have meant that Friday Club have gained notoriety from both critics and fans alike. Their live sound has been described as encapsulating the meaning of feel good, their songs have been described as being catchy songs with upbeat rhythms and addictive refrains and they have the ability to win over a crowd within a moment.

Friday Club’s endearing nature and rebellious streak is what stands them aside from many of the other successful Birmingham bands of their time. Despite this they are possibly the hardest working band within the city at the moment, totally self managed and funded, the band owe nothing to anybody.

The band play the following live dates :

May 25th - Hare & Hounds Birmingham (This Feeling)
May 29th - Purple Turtle Camden Town London (Supporting Black Tambourines)
May 31st - Old Blue Last London (Free Entry Show)
June 1st - Love It Kent Party In The Park
June 16th - Villa Park Birmingham - Counteract Magazine Villa Kit Launch Festival

Dave Weston who is based in London, England.

Having played harmonica for a number of bands on the London music scene, Dave Weston has now taken the solo step up the music ladder resulting in his debut EP That For Thinking Them Dancing.
Taking the name of the EP from a saying his late father used to regularly quote which means ‘use your head son’, Dave Weston’s music is now beginning to make huge inroads on the Blues and also the mainstream music scene with a number of radio stations already picking up on his G.Love influenced sound.
That For Thinking Them Dancing is now available to purchase on iTunes.  Details of this along with further information on Dave Weston can be found on his website www.facebook.com/davewestonmusic

Lost Legions-

Lost Legions are a four-piece Indie rock band from Jarrow and South Shields in the North East of England; combining a range of influences from Punk to Alternative Indie Rock we are ready to take our music to a wider world audience

We as a collective are a hardworking and enthusiastic group looking to do everything in our power to showcase what we believe to be great music that we create.
With 4 writers in the band our songs are more a piece of art that has been constructed rather than something simply written on a whim.

Please go to www.soundcloud.com/lostlegions for our tracks & you can also find us on www.facebook.com/lostlegions &twitter @lostlegions1.

Artists Lost Legions have been compared too & sound like are Arctic Monkeys, Oasis, Foo Fighters, Kasabian, The Killers, One Night Only, We Are Scientists, The Editors, Green Day, Paramore.

The band's tracks 'Searching' and ‘Jason’s Drugs’ have recently been featured on the Introducing section on BBC Radio Newcastle.

Wagstar who is based in Lancashire, England.

The product of an unsigned songwriter who decided to sell songs direct to the music loving public, Wagstar still remains anonymous due to, in his own words, ‘simply being unable to afford to pay the number of security staff required to hold back lusting fans….’
Despite no one knowing how he appears, Wagstar has still managed to secure BBC radio play as well as exposure on a number of local FM stations too, with more expected to follow.
Details on how you can purchase Wagstar’s material along with additional information can be found on his websites www.wagstar.co.uk and Facebook HERE or you can follow him on Twitter at www.twitter.com/Wagstar1

ALAVANO-
The debut release from this exciting new band from Glasgow, ALAVANO.
' On The Rocks'/ lions Gone
It's released on the 10th June 2013 and available to pre order now from iTunes and all good digital retailers. Their debut (self titled) album follows in August 2013.
Led by Ocean Adams, they're a six piece indie/rock band who are stunning audiences all over the UK with their blistering live performance.
"On The Rocks" has a touch of Sergio Pizzorno from Kasabian about it. You'll know what we mean when you hit "play." It's one of those sing-a-long favourites at the band's gigs. Everyone can get involved in the "ahhhhhhs!"
Their debut album is full of heartbreak, loss and deceit - as well as hope, real life stories and love. It's an absolute belter of a debut album.
