Duck Sauce – ‘NRG’
Released: 22nd June

The veteran New York DJ team of A-Trak & Armand Van Helden first splashed on the scene as Duck Sauce in 2009, releasing the breakout hit "aNYway", a refreshing return to disco-house at a time when electronic music was essentially a distortion contest. The following year came "Barbra Streisand", with a So-Me directed video that became one of the most talked about cultural phenomena in dance history. With cameos from Kanye West, Pharrell Williams, ?uestlove, DJ Premier, Chromeo, Santigold and Ezra Koenig of Vampire Weekend, the song and video exploded, amassing millions of views on YouTube in just months (now at over 70 million), landing at #1 on charts all over the world, finding its way everywhere from shampoo commercials and video games to being covered on Glee and landing a Grammy nomination.

In 2011, Duck Sauce cemented their reputation as house music's official video pranksters with "Big Bad Wolf" whose VMA-nominated clip (10 million views) managed to ride the line between crude shock value and ethereal surrealism. 2013's "It's You", an orgiastic barbershop revelry (6 million views) earned them yet another VMA nod.  As the anticipation grew for their fabled debut album, they released the Duck Tape mixtape as one of the year's most critically lauded BBC Radio 1 Essential Mixes. Carefully calculating its live appearances -- albeit accompanied by a 20-foot inflatable duck -- the group maintained its enigmatic less-is-more approach with a perpetual smirk on their bills.

DUCK SAUCE ANNOUNCE DEBUT ALBUM!
QUACK TO BE RELEASED APRIL 15th VIA FOOL'S GOLD RECORDS
Quack, Duck Sauce's full length studio debut is fueled by the duo’s strong connection with New York hip-hop, Chicago house, disco debauchery, slapstick comedy and, of course, UFOs.  More Dr Octagon than Daft, tightly knit with skits worthy of early De La Soul records, Quack is a fully immersive journey into the land of Duck: euphoric loops, mixtape cut-and-paste and conspiracy theories abound.  (You'll also dance your ass off.)  No other group is capable of bringing the rich and visual tradition of sample-heavy music into the current trends of pop and EDM of 2014.  Stay tuned for more Duck Sauce news - and catch the duo at Coachella!

Ashley Roberts announces May 25th release date for first single ‘Clockwork’ from debut solo album due out this summer

Long before Brits fell in love with Ashley Roberts on television (I'm A Celebrity, Dancing On Ice, Saturday Night Takeaway), she had walked away from one of the biggest pop groups in history, The Pussycat Dolls; without anything more than a dream to make music, on her terms, with her words, and her voice.

Fast forward to today, and Ashley is putting the finishing touches to her debut album at the world famous Metropolis Studios – recording home to such artists as Will.i.am, Florence and The Machine, Rihanna and Amy Winehouse. The first offering from that debut, ‘Clockwork’, is set for release on May 25th, with a second single and eagerly awaited album to follow in the late summer.
Ashley has also made free download available of a remix of one of the tracks from the album, entitled ‘My Song’. The ‘Comets We Fall’ remix of ‘My Song’ adds another dimension to the project and many more dance mixes are set to appear in the coming weeks.  The free download will be available from Ashley’s website www.imashleyroberts.com.

Having worked with some of the most creative pop producers in the world over the last 12 months - including Red Triangle on ‘Clockwork’, who’s recent work with One Direction, Cee Lo Green and Little Mix has put them firmly among the best - Ashley’s debut album has been a complete labour of love for the singer and songwriter, and she’s poured her heart and soul into these songs. With a lifelong passion, drive and vision for her own music career, Ashley proves with this debut that she has genuine star quality and a voice to match!
Having made her name in one of the biggest girl groups of all time, The Pussycat Dolls, Ashley is now ready to build upon the experience that the former all-conquering pop group gave her and take her music career to the next level. With an enviable and ever growing fanbase through her multi-media profile, Ashley boasts a unique platform from which to launch her new album and is hugely excited about fans hearing what she’s been devotedly working towards.

‘Clockwork’ is the perfect entry point to this accomplished and deeply personal album. Ashley added “’Clockwork’ represents a relationship that had its moment and when it did it was fireworks. But now it's fizzled out and you want to go back for more fireworks even though it's done. It's dangerous and exciting but may leave you a little scarred.  We've all had one of those”.

Showing beauty, fragility and power, the anthemic single boasts broody beats, electric guitar, an explosive, arms-aloft chorus and a hailstorm of hooks. Its soft-loud dynamic and real drums borrow from rock, but its shimmering synths are pure summer pop. The track is an exciting glimmer of what to expect from the light and shade in her forthcoming full length.

John Butler Trio ready themselves for biggest UK Tour to date in support of latest album ‘Flesh & Blood’.
Following the release of uplifting and joyous single ‘Only One’, and their latest album ‘Flesh & Blood’, Australian superstar act John Butler Trio hit the UK for the first time in support of the release. With its cascading acoustic riffs flowing effortlessly over driving rhythms while sun kissed steel drums and an inspirational melody and lyric, ‘Only One’ delivered a quality launch pad for the bands sixth album. ‘Flesh and Blood’ captures John Butler Trio working on old strengths and finding new ones even at a time of change. For fans of the band, there is much to take from this, their most accomplished studio album to date.
‘Only One’ is accompanied by a fantastically tongue in cheek zombie filled video, with the band themselves performing as Zombies. John commented, "’Only One’ is one of those 'turn around’ songs. The idea of a Zombie love story came to me a while ago. I wanted the song and video almost to be juxtaposed but still somehow have an element of love....and humour. I think we made a seriously cool and funny video. I love it. Even if I do look dead!"
It’s been nearly 4 years since the release of their last studio album ‘April Uprising’ and in that time John Butler Trio have toured the world to ever increasing audiences, played key roles in fighting environmental causes in Australia, released 2 live albums- Live at Red Rocks and Tin Shed Tales - and most importantly crafted and recorded ‘Flesh & Blood’.
"I hope they take it with them on a journey. I hope it can be the soundtrack for some great moments in their life and some shit moments in their life and I hope it can be there for them at the ebb of their energy wave and at the crest of it. In the loud times and the quiet times ~ John Butler.
Now one of the most successful Australian bands of all time, John Butler Trio have recently welcomed new drummer, percussionist and backing vocalist Grant Gerathy to the fold. John added, “I have been really looking forward to playing these shows for a while now and to be introducing Grant with all his funk and flavours to all our fans is a real thrill. Grant, Byron and I have been having an awesome time fine tuning the new album and spicing up our old songs. We can’t wait to unveil it to the fans”.
The John Butler Trio return to the UK for the first time in 3 years this month. Since those last shows, the band has continued to tour the world cementing its stature as one of the most thrilling live bands on the global touring circuit.

Full Biography:
ANiMA (pronounced Ann - Im - ma )are a Birmingham band fitting uncomfortably into the grunge genre, for want of a better description. The truth is, the group's influences are fairly conflicting and eclectic; they consider System of a Down, Smashing Pumpkins and Suede all root influences, amongst others, and generally strive to stay clear of genre defining conventions.
The band formed in 2011, in the wake of the split of singer Dan Sheridan's former band The Fairytale, when he realised he was writing so prolifically it would be unhealthy not to form a new group.
Guitarist and brother Christopher Charles Lutha Sheridan, and polish bass player Mike Bar were recruited, and after a couple of frustrating years working through different, unsatisfying iterations, drummer Adam Wakefield was introduced to the band by a mutual friend.
The chemistry soon became apparent, and a streamlined, intrinsic and more powerful ANiMA was born.
The debut EP, 'Homeopathy', contains a more raw form of ANiMA's sound, although the integrity is still apparent, and its opening track 'Dysphoria' remains one of the band's most popular songs.
The single 'The Sun & The Moon' was originally released in 2013 to a very positive response - including airplay on Kerrang! Radio. The year concluded with ANiMA lauded as RGG Band of the Year 2013, and the upcoming EP is due for a release towards mid 2014.
The promo video for the EP, showcasing the re-release of 'The Sun & The Moon' was first shown in February.
The design of ANiMA lies in a sincere rock sound, confessional lyricism, originality, and the desire to secure ferocious hooks insatiably into the eardrums of their audience. They remain a 'popular music' band, and the songs often fall into the three minute, 'verse-chorus-verse' pattern, but a metal influence infuses the guitars and tears through the vocals at any given opportunity.

The original Simon Ellis production of Bad Boy has been given a London Crew makeover by rising Beats Producer Will "Freshfield"... The single is due for official chart release on April 14th and will be available to purchase digitally from most online stores!

Indie rockers The Clox are promoting their new landmark single, ‘Jules Verne’.
Well-entrenched within the genre, the radio-friendly ‘Jules Verne’ exhibits well-shined guitar orientated production.
However, the most remarkable element is the standout vocal of Denis Orynbekov - who poses an entirely unique sound, unlike any other in the business.
‘Jules Verne’ is due out later this month, on April 28.
And the band - who are made of Denis Orynbekov (guitar and vocals), Ruslan Baimurzin (drums) and Igor Reznik (bass) - have been well received in the UK.
After forming in 2009 with just Denis and Ruslan, the band later welcomed Igor and penned two albums, ‘Ready to Starve’ in 2010 and ‘Civilian’, as well as the ‘Jules Verne EP’ in 2012.
With an impressive back catalogue of events, The Clox have a lot of buzz about them - US beachwear retailer Caribbean Joe pioneered their track ‘Faces’ in a marketing campaign, alongside massive artists like Kings of Leon and Coldplay.
And the band are regularly topping fan-fuelled charts on the Outstage website - who are an affiliate of MTV. As well as that, they have graced radio waves on MTV, Oxygen Channel and PBS across the globe.
International modelling agencies Ford and Trump Model Management got on board with the band’s work, heralding a remarkable licensing deal with the band’s musical repertoire.
New York’s DELI Magazine have declared The Clox as one of NYC’s best bands of 2012. Music media outlets have pushed their videos for ‘Jules Verne’ and ‘Already Done’ to the wider public, gathering the group a mass of fans.
Gaining a great deal of press coverage and having took to the stage on some of the city’s most prestigious venues, the band, who are originally from Kazakhstan - have made a name for themselves across NYC.
Baeblemusic, DJ Top Twenty, WoellJ's Music Playlist, KIT21, The Indie Browser, Joey Voodoo Lifestyle, Dads Big Plan, Cap'n Carrot, and many more played their songs alongside massive artists such as Arcade Fire, Radiohead, Oasis, Magnetic Fields, and Feist.
They’re now focusing on spreading their success abroad - and critics around the UK and Europe are excited.
The Voice of New Music in Scotland, Jim Gellatly has called their work “beautiful noise”.
DELI Magazine wrote: "Hailing from Kazakhstan, the group has set up shop here in Manhattan to show us all how a lot of this heavy rock business is supposed to be done.
“Listen to the anthem ‘Jules Verne’ off their latest EP of the same name, and tell me these guys don’t know how to do it.
“Their unique cross between bands like INXS and Oasis does what this band is good at: sounding familiar and exotic at the same time.
“The rest of the EP follows this formula closely, leaving almost no stone unturned in carving out a large sound that just might work anywhere in the world."
They added: ““The Clox can make what feels like a solid three minute guitar pop jam feel like an epic journey through the jungles of distorted guitar hooks [Listen to epic album opener, ‘Civilian’] and back out again to solid groove funkiness. The band attaches an existential dread of all things weird and dangerous to solid jazz funk chops that make it all fun.”
Irish music mag U and I Magazine said: “Civilian is an absolute gem of an album to listen to, it must be said.”
"A band that have a very compact sound that is well worked on. They bring some synth into proceedings, but it is added in the right places and when it meets the guitar the results are truly spectacular. The rhythm is held in check and what you get as the end result is something that gels really well on account of the effort put in,” Twenty1Zero Media from Dublin, Ireland commented.
