Previously known as Lato, the band has been through many highs and lows in their career ranging from being offered a $250,000 record deal in the USA which was dogged with deaths and affairs.  This finally resulted in the label going under and the band having to self- fund their own way home from America.
After deciding to make a fresh start, the band changed their name to The Fuse and released their debut album under the new name titled Freedom Of The City.  Since the album release, The Fuse have transcended from performing to 3 people at a gig in London, to supporting UB40 in Holland and Foreigner in Germany to thousands of people, as well as headlining a number of festivals in England and Wales over the past year.   In addition to this, they have also received over 50,000 plays on YouTube and other video platforms, with various radio stations around the world now picking up on their unique sound.

Sold Our Love’

Impact Date: 1st September 2014

Based in Islington, North London, DELAIRE aka Jenny Burdon is set to release her debut single ‘Sold Our Love’, produced by Julian Simmons (Ed Sheeran, Midlake, Bleech).

Citing her key influences as Fleetwood Mac, Blondie and Donna Summer, the 24 year old songstress creates disco infused pop laced with clever hooks and oodles of character.

This summer DELAIRE will perform alongside the likes of Daniel Avery, Woman’s Hour and Rosie Lowe at Farr Festival, as well as her first solo headline gigs, the first of which was a huge success at St.Pancras Church in London on July 23rd.

Drawing inspiration from the spectacular Delaire Sunrise Diamond, her addictive melodies are only matched by sensual, yet subtle lyrical stylings.

HALCYON HOPE - "Monuments" from the debut EP - focus date August 18th
Halcyon Hope are from Denmark and tracks from their Northern Lights e.p. are in rotation on the Danish commercial radio station my-ROCK. Their influences can be heard in their music - i.e. - early Biffy Clyro, Jimmy Eat World, Brand New and Taking Back Sunday.
The band were just recently featured in the May 2014 issue of RockSound (www.RockSound.tv) and the videos have had a total view count of more than 10,000 views collectively.
The e.p. was produced by Peter Lehmann (Rock Hard Power Spray, Magtens Korridorer, Turboweekend etc) in Copenhagen and the video for Monuments has picked up thousands of views since its upload in summer 2014.
On the song, the band say: "Monuments is about beginnings in many ways. It’s one of the very first songs we wrote together, but it came really easy to us. Also, we tried to let the lyrics reflect the need to make our mark on the world through music, as well as the ever present fear of falling short. A monument is short of the best combination of leaving your mark on the world through creativity."
Mastered by Alan Douches (Mastodon, Alkaline Trio, ETID etc.) at West West Side Music, New York.
Members:
Nicolaj Rosander - Bass & Vox
Morten Pedersen - Guitars & Vox
Miki Petersen - Guitars & Vox
Simon Møller Andersen - Drums
Reviews:
I guess you could argue that releasing an emo rock album in 2014 is insane, especially in Denmark, but then forget about my emo designation and just listen to this as simple melodic rock. My guess is you’ll like it more than you expect * Rock-freaks.net
Color Me impressed & surprised, appealing, freshly tapped emo rock in 2014? From Denmark? We are perhaps a little too close to the latest wave to call it retro, but let’s call it a surprising & merry revival* GF Rock.
The debut EP Northern Lights came out in early 2014 and is distributed digitally through Discretion Is Paramount Records and can be found at iTunes in the specialized MFit format (Mastered For iTunes) as well as popular streaming sites Deezer, Spotify, WIMP among many others.

The stars align with Pale Green Things’ new single!
The talented artist has already seen success with past tracks and now looks set to do it all over again with the help of a Pink Flamingo.

Jack Traynor has revealed that he plans to provide audiences with a unique performance experience. The video for his latest single, Pink Flamingo being a great example of this:

Watch it on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=goBZW3c0EEI

Hear it on Soundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/palegreenthings/pinkflamingo

Jack has supported acts such as ‘The Riffles’, ‘Dave McPherson’, and ‘The Coral’ (at Noel Gallagher’s after show party) and ‘Dirty Sanchez’. He has also accompanied ‘The Virginmarys’, an ever growing popular US group.

Jack’s hobbies and personal interests are heavy influencers in shaping his latest EP. Jack's interest in geography, travel and even population densities; play a key part in the songs sound and narrative. The lyrics are also inspired by the creation of fictional characters as well as autobiographical situations.

His latest single ‘Pink Flamingo’ is one of his most beautiful songs to date. The infectious chorus is only a part of what makes this whimsical tale of life and astronomical connections so poignant. It is based around the many events that take place under the constellations; with its main focus being about sitting outside the Flamingo Casino in Vegas. The sound is an indie pop mix drawing from influences such as The Killers, Belle and Sebastian, and Idlewild.

Jack has recently been recording music in Glasgow; with a music producer by the name of John McLaughlin over the last few months. John has seen great success in the past and looks to be striking another hit if Pink flamingo is anything to go by. Also, Teenage Fan club star, Francis MacDonald was involved in their recording session too.

Rollys Syndicate are the Warwickshire based band, that are mixing contemporary blues and soul. They are now set to release a new album for the summer. Working together, Milli aids Roland with moving lyrics, whilst Ro’ brings the guitar backing

Their music has that open air quality you only really see in the Jazz genre. With great guitar playing and memorable lyrics, the band congregates together; to make a thoroughly enjoyable collection of moving and expressive tracks.

After a long period of co-operation with the band, Milli could no longer commit to the long term vision of the group. However, in honour of the bands history together, the Roland Syndicate decided to dedicate their debut album to Milli and her lyrical talents. Fortunately, she happily agreed to collaborate on a short term basis. It’s for this reason that most of the lyrics in the album draw their influence from both the bands everyday life and Milli’s personal journey to this point.

The band has now picked a new vocalist from a selection of more than 30 applicants. Her name is Natalie Brown and the band tells us that she is as good as Milli! Her background includes being the lead vocalist in the original band, StoneSoulUK from February 2006 to October 2013 (writing and performing mainly original material, as well as cover material). Natalie has also lent her vocal talents to the cover band ‘the Bottle’, whilst studying at university (1997-2000). Ontop of all this she has performed at major west midland venues such as The Yardbird, Victoria Square and The Malthouse. Natalie Brown’s influences include Mary J Blige, Alicia Keys and Michael Jackson.

Hungarian born, Roland produced the album as part of achieving a degree at Staffordshire University.  He has showcased his talents at many different live gigs such as: The Public (West Bromwich), Hare & Hounds (Birmingham), Bulls Head (Birmingham), Mixing Bowl Theatre (Birmingham). Roland said that he has played many live gigs but for him the biggest event was at the Sziget Festival.

On-top of these live shows, the group has also been featured on the ‘BBC Introducing’ series, played on Radio Warwickshire, Airplay & The Musical Journey show (live), Tweets & web mentions (Clay Lowe/SoulCuzer radio presenter), Radio Plus - Airplay & Live Room Session.

Through the years, Milli and Roland have developed a good understanding of the musical influences they wanted to follow, and thus developed a winning musical chemistry. Roland’s professionalism and creativity seemed to work well with Milli adding her soulful tones, as she is not only a talented vocalist, but also an amazing songwriter with a history in Drama and Literature.

Benny (drummer) & Luke (bass player) were both attracted to the unique mix of Soul, contemporary Blues and a touch of jazzy elements, they both relate to in their own personal musical backgrounds.

Luke, the bass player in the band was born in Leamington Spa in 1992, picking up his first guitar at the age of 11. It was after watching the video of November Rain that Luke’s hobby turned into a lifelong passion.  He has played from many names such as the African Kora players to Art rock bands and anyone else that would give him his next step into the starlight. His talent developed quickly due to dedication and his love to the art.

Benny, the band’s drummer, plays several styles including jazz, rock, blues and funk. He played in jazz trios, big bands, rock and punk bands through the years. He has recently played in the Boogie snakes and the Holly Perkins Bands.  Making appearances on many different jam sessions around Oxfordshire. Bennys drum kit is a vintage Yamaha kit from 1973, Yamaha Vintage Series snare, Zildjian cymbals with Evans heads. The drummer says that his influencers are Dennis Chambers, Ed Thigpen and Zsolt Mike.

The Unique combination of styles and influences Rolly’s Syndicate produce demonstrates the colourful background of the group members, Roland’s Passion for blues from a Hungarian Background, Beni’s Amazing talent and vast experience playing with various bands and Luke’s alternative veins and passion for Jazz & World Music.

As the famous Queen Song declares, The Show Must Go On... and that is exactly what some of the musicians from the hit West End show We Will Rock You have decided to do! Space Elevator is the brand new band formed by WWRY members and the brilliantly bonkers, mysterious and catsuit wearing lead singer ‘The Duchess’. Playing a similar type of rock music, unlike the iPlanet, no musical instruments are banned.

Neil Murray from Chiswick started his musical career at school in his first band called ‘Slap Happy and the Dum-Dums.  He was to be propelled into the limelight and was soon associated with well known big names in rock. He has played with bands and musicians such as Brian May, Whitesnake, Black Sabbath, Gar y Moore, Peter Green, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck and Bernie Marsden.  Neil became a member of Black Sabbath for 3 year in 1989. In 2002 he took up the bass position for the We Will Rock You band which he has continued to stay part of the entirety of the 12 years.

Collectively, members of Space Elevator have performed in over 4000 WWRY shows and have been involved with the show on and off since the very beginning, either as musical director, full time band members or as guitar and keys deputies. They have also worked on other productions including Rock of Ages, Rocky Horror, Wicked, Footloose, The Sound of Music, Flashdance and Quadrophenia but now the focus is on the new music.

Space Elevator
“Quite simply, our debut album is all about space and would not be complete without a Dr Who song.

The song is a tribute as I have a Time Lord crush in all his incarnations. There’s something there for every woman! He’s strong, intelligent, unobtainable (crucial), he will fight daleks and cybermen..he has two hearts.. lol! …or maybe I’m the only girl that dreamt of what her own Tardis would look like inside?

Being a huge Time Lord fan, I can’t wait for the new series with the new Doctor and wrote “I Will Find You” simply as a love song to the Doctor. You will find a lot of music artists are fans, like Brian May of Queen, Noel Gallagher, Toyah Wilcox, Meatloaf, Marc Almond, Bruce Dickinson and bet you didn’t know that the Tardis appears on a couple of Iron Maiden sleeves. How cool is that? Bob Dylan even gave permission for his music to be used in a series but in the end it wasn’t used.

Pink Floyd used the Dr Who theme on “One Of These Days” a great track with a bass line that hits you right in the groin and that’s one of the better Dr Who related songs, unlike the really awful “ I’m Gonna Spend My Christmas with a Dalek” and fun but naff “Doctorin’ the Tardis” by The Timelords.

I can’t wait for the new series, which the new Doctor has just started recording although I can’t see Peter Capaldi being into fish fingers and custard!

Even with today’s stunning CGI in horror shows, the Daleks, Zygons and Cybermen still rule as the scariest monsters for me.

Matt Smith was really cool… how else could he pull off wearing a bow tie, a fez, being James Cordon’s lodger and attacking Daleks with Jammie Dodgers?

The song was originally written on the classical guitar but once the melody line was laid over the guitar part, it was clearly going to be a rock ballad. I suggested the key change and our guitarist David Young, added a huge solo which gave it a big anthemic feel.

The song was written during the 50th anniversary and it speaks to anyone who has that one special person in their life who they have lost but can’t ever forget. You know you can’t make it work together for whatever reason but you’ll always be thinking of each other. That has to be the most heart breaking of all kinds of love. I know you’re out there. Thinking about me whilst you’re doing your grouting or whatever. But you have a lipstick phobia and I’m never taking mine off.

I believe lyrics are really important, because they are written for a reason and “I Will Find You” is no different.

Imagine being in love with a Timelord! What a mind-messer! That’s why we made the song as bombastic and dramatic as we could. Because he’s worth it.

I would like to send my love and kisses to Peter and hope he likes “I Will Find You”.

The show just won the Radio Times TV audience award at the Baftas which I reckon is the most important one as it’s voted for by the public.

Finally, I have convinced our record label to giveaway the song “I Will Find You” as a Free Download to fans who are members of four specific Dr Who fan sites.

Space Elevator doesn’t allow any of its music to be downloaded or streamed so I had to fight tooth and nail for this within the band but I believe it’s worth it!”

The album Space Elevator is out now at HMV, Amazon and all good record stores, with the vinyl album being released on July 21st.
