RICH STEPHENSON ANNOUNCES NEW SINGLE ‘BETTER THINGS TO DO’
Quirky folk-pop track is taken from upcoming ‘I AM RICH’ EP
London-based singer-songwriter Rich Stephenson has unveiled Better Things To Do, the lead single from his upcoming new ‘I AM RICH (Blue)’ EP. The energetic slice of summery folk-pop showcases his sharp lyrics, choppy guitars & talent for infectious choruses.
Born and raised on the rural Yorkshire coast and now living in the capital, these two contrasting locations are useful metaphorical signposts for Stephenson’s songs - timeless and organic yet driven by a restless energy and lyrical bite, and equally influenced by rustic folk and bustling pop. This combination of acoustic guitars and catchy melodies has landed him on BBC Introducing & Amazing Radio playlists and led to support slots with Ben Howard, Django Django and The XX. His work has also been heard soundtracking hit TV shows like E4’s Skins, underlining his ability to pen evocative and accessible songs that connect with mainstream audiences.

Troy Amidon, AKA Luper Dupree was conceived not long ago in Los Angeles following the demise of his previous band Earfood who garnered much success on the college and underground music scene in the US, before tragically a member of the band disappeared.
Having now set up his own record label, Luper Dupree has released his debut solo album LD In LA which is now beginning to gain much critical acclaim.

The album is the follow-up to the critically acclaimed debut ‘Response’ which saw the band enter high in the UK Album Charts and reach #6 in both the independent and vinyl charts, with their recent single ‘So Long’ charting at #1 in UK Vinyl Singles Chart. Record label exec Kenneth Bager is running the show at Denmark’s Music For Dreams label which have steadily been supplying Ibiza and the wider dance community with a whole host of tunes over the past few years.

Combining the styles of the Queens Of The Stone Age, Royal Blood, Muse, Rage Against The Machine and Biffy Clyro SHADOWQUEEN are a dynamic melodic hard rock group that are not to be disregarded. Particularly as they are such a diverse band it is very difficult to pigeon hole them into one specific genre. The versatile band have supported the much loved New Zealand band Shihad and Australian bands such as Electric Mary, The Butterfly Effect and Bellusira.
Also worthy of note is the producers and engineers that are involved with their upcoming 2017 Sophomore album. Ricki Rae who has recorded Electric Mary, Massive and Tequila Mockingbyrd and Garth Richardson who produced for Biffy Clyro and Rage Against The Machine. Yorkshire based five-piece ROOD are an Alternative Rock band formed in 2015.
The band consists of Tom Hale (vocals, guitar), Joe Castle (guitar, vocals), Liam Butterfield (bass, vocals) Elliot Mann (drums) and Jack Miszewski (keys, percussion).
They complete their original sound with swirling layers of overdriven guitars and keys over hefty bass and solid drums.
'Obsessed' is their debut single that was recorded at Parr Street Studios, Liverpool and produced by Chris Taylor. It will be released Sept 6th on digital and vinyl.

Continuing a fantastic year, which has seen the band appear at Download Festival, release their debut EP The Hospital Party, play constant shows, and gain Rock Sound coverage & Kerrang TV airtime, West Yorkshire rock and rollers As Sirens Fall have dropped a video for storming new single 'Smoke'.
The story for Smoke's video picks up from where previous video 'Where You Are' ended, which sees the leading lady get hit by a car on her way to meet vocalist Mikey. Mikey falls asleep waiting for her, and in his dream he goes on an adventure which slowly reveals the tragic story. In the 'Smoke' video, the story continues, however this time she's the one showing Mikey where she is. What is the end result? You'll have to watch and find out for yourselves.
As Sirens Fall comment:
‘Smoke is about confusion. It’s about anger with God. It’s about mental illness, war, disease, famine, global warming, injustice and inequality. The unfairness of the world is continually denied by those benefitting from it, even though it is so plain to see.
The video for Smoke follows on from our previous video 'Where You Are'. There's not ever an explanation as to how Mikey gets to where he is up at the end of that video, but that's pretty intentional. It's meant to symbolise confusion and guilt. The feeling of responsibility when you put someone into a bad situation and feel like it's your fault.
The weekend we made the videos was one of the most grueling but awesome weekends of all of our lives. We loved it so much. I think it was a solid 40 hours working but we got there in the end and we are so happy with them."

As Sirens Fall - "Smoke" - (OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO)
In a cold practise room in an old mill in Keighley in late 2014, As Sirens Fall was born. The band launched themselves on the scene in spring 2015 with a homemade music video for début single 'From Across The Waves'. Fast forward 12 months and over 100 shows, and the band were returning to the stage to scores of 'ASF' chants, to play an encore at a packed out Leeds O2 Academy, having just won the Soundwave Music Competition.
Following that seminal show, As Sirens Fall found themselves at Longwave Recording Studios with producer Romesh Dodangoda and engineer Rob Thomas (Bring Me The Horizon, Twin Atlantic, Kids In Glass Houses, The Blackout), working on their debut release, 'The Hospital Party' which is out now.
As Sirens Fall recently announced they will be supporting electronic goth artist William Control on selected dates of his September UK tour. You can catch the Keighley band at the following shows -

Prohibition never works, suppression of the masses usually results in rebellion and dissent, so in these politically uncertain times, a Power Rock Trio have emerged amidst the chaos in the city of Edinburgh and they go by the name of RumRunners.
Singer/Guitarist Will, Bass player Peter and drummer Jim are the three handsome rogues playing this particular spirit-infused soundtrack, for they collectively are "RumRunners", the latest band to grace the Infinite Hive roster with their new single "Sun Comes Up". They play a style of rock influenced by current bands like Rival Sons, Blackberry Smoke or The Answer.
