Matty T Wall Lifts You Out of the Winter Blues and Brings You Stunning 'Blue Skies'

is not only an impressive debut from one of the next generation of blues shredders, but also an album that’s bound to leave a big smile on your face."Blue Skies"It’s also an apropos title—when you consider that
- James Wood

Watch here:
Perth born and bred Matty T Wall is already well on his way to joining legends just like Dave Hole, Bon Scott (ACDC) and the John Butler Trio. “I am like an
elastic band pulled really tight, ready to go,” he says. “That’s how I feel about my music.” In his youth following bands like Metallica and Sepultura he recognised how they honoured the blues masters before them, aspiring to be at their level he got into the blues and since Matty has "never gotten out of it.".

Having studied many disciplines such as flamenco, swing jazz and funk Matty is recognised as a master of the guitar. He wrings raw emotions from as little as a single note by bending the strings of his beloved 1961 Les Paul Custom into tantalising sounds that make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up to attention. He is not just playing music of the past though, he is redefining the genre with his modern stance and influences: "the fresh blood from dynamic youngsters Old Blood and MattyTWall, showing that age is not a factor in bringing out the Blues in people."
- By Derek Cromb, announcer on 89.7 FM’s Play The Blues., Rhythm Magazine Blues At Bridgetown 2013

The 'Blue Skies' single showcases his creative playing through the wonderfully detailed virtuosic inflections he decorates his music with.  As observed by Geoff Scott, "One of the best blues guitarists that I have ever witnessed. " from the White Star, Albany.

'Who R Ya?'

Single Release: WHO R YA?
Label: 1-2-3-4 Records
Release date: 16th September 2016
Track Length : 3:11

“the band radiate the sense of Men On A Mission who engage both with their audience and the wider world beyond Camden.” – TOM ROBINSON – BBC 6 MUSIC
"Sisteray, are not so much “emerging” as bursting out with tuneful attitude" The Zine

"2016 is  going to be a big year for Sisteray"  Simon Raymonde  –  Amazing Radio
Sisteray hit 2016 running bringing a punk ethos and attitude to their rousing guitar anthems. In January they were part of This Feelings Big In 2016 gigs, in February their track 'A Wise Man Said' was released as the double A side single with ‘Back To Yours’ picking up extensive radio play on BBC Radio 1/BBC Introducing via Huw Stephens, Gary Crowley and Phil Taggart, Radio X via John Kennedy and the evening playlist, and not only that, receiving huge BBC 6 Music support from Steve Lamacq, Gideon Coe, Chris Hawkins, Tom Robinson and much more.
'Who R Ya?' has been the opening song for Sisteray live sets in recent months and is a vibrant rocking call to arms against being monitored by the state, questioning the dubious credentials of people in positions of power - Who R Ya? indeed.

Like the previous Sisteray single, this track was recorded in a studio on a boat, Lightship 95 and produced by Rory Atwell (Testicles / The Vaccines / Palma Violets).

Sisteray are also establishing themselves as a formidable presence on the live scene. Playing pop-up #guerillagigs , organising their own club night Welcome To The Monkey House where they choose the bands, promote the gig and often DJ and have already played roof raising sets at Camden Rocks and the Isle Of Wight festivals this year with more confirmed. They are also not afraid to make a stand and express a point of view. They filmed the recording of a demo for another live favourite ‘Gentrification’ which has so far had over 20,000 views across Facebook and YouTube and will be participating in events this autumn including the 40th Anniversary of Rock Against Racism.

Upcoming Sisteray live shows include:

Saturday August 13th – LONDON Strummer Jam  @ The Alley Cat
Saturday October 8th – SHEFFIELD – Amp Festival
Saturday November 26th - LEEDS – Kazoopa Festival

EKA has released their new single 'Thinkin About U'  from their debut album ‘Everything is Going to be Alright’. It sees producer Ekow Armah teaming up with new vocal talent Chiedza on this house track with its Old Skool/new Skool feel. Great vocals, big beats and catchy bass.

South Africa’s two most beautiful ‘musical rebels’, The Soap Girls...  You may already have heard of the girls, but as we have just started working together and I wanted to come straight to you with their new single and ahead of their new album release to see what you think and if it might be something you would be interested in checking out. The Soap Girls are …. raw, real, gutsy, innovative and thoroughly … trendsetting.  After selling soap in the streets performing as kids they are completely natural on the stage, their live sets are perfected and they definitely are the talk of the town wherever they go!

Citing influences from the deep grunt of Nu Metal, the vocal genius of Gwen Stefani and old school electro, their sound is a combination of hard hitting beats, massive bass, fat guitars and gnarly synths, topped with powerful vocals.
With the Essex music scene in good health but local venues in decline, the band decided to get out into the world, building up an impressive portfolio of shows which has seen them secure festival slots at the likes of Brownstock and?V Festival, supporting reggae-metal outfit?Sonic Boom Six?as well as being asked to support one of the band?s biggest influences,?The Qemists, on their 2015 tour.

Multi-instrumented Belfast folk-rock band The Dandy Horses

'The multi-instrumentalism of the band is showcased beautifully….The whole EP reeks of summer with a promise of good times., all rolled up in the Dandy’s Americana/country/folk good time sound. The Dandy Horses build their songs on a strong foundation of sweet memorable melody and great lyrics’ - (Mark Reid, Creative Voices NI)

‘‘One of Northern Ireland’s fastest rising folk bands’ - (Matt McCreary, Belfast Telegraph)

‘Splendid band. I really, really like them.’ - (Ralph Mc Lean, BBC Radio Ulster)
The Dandy Horses' 'Tales from Hard Luck Town' is a powerful rocky folk album with a commercial edge sharp enough to slice out their own piece of the industry, often being compared to such bands as Fleetwood Mac and The Mamas and Papas.

'Tales from Hard Luck Town' is an 11 track album with most featuring a story or character relating to 'Hard Luck Town.' Despite there being a dark undercurrent, many of the tracks are also upbeat and lighter in tone. The album includes a murder ballad and other themes include homelessness, seeking fulfilment, being sent to prison ('Hydebank Hotel'), relationships, and drunken antics. The songs have a relatable feel, often being shaped by the band’s life experiences and observations.
Listen to the title track of the album here:
As well as featuring on many local radio stations, such as Radio Ulster multiple times, and 6 Music they have also performed live on the only English speaking Radio Station in Ethiopia - Afro FM. They were also flown out to Ethiopia twice at the request of the Irish Embassy to perform at their St Patricks day celebrations. They have also just been booked to do their second tour of Germany.

Having performed in such places as the aforementioned is a perfect portrayal of how tangible and enjoyable their music is. Whether you're a folk fan through and through or you never thought you'd be partial to it, The Dandy Horses' New album is definitely going to be your latest infatuation.

KINGBREAKER's stunning single ‘Bury The Witness’ is out now

Taken off their debut album 'To The Fire', this wonderful track simply oozes quality throughout, a thick, darkly melodic slab of heavy riffs and driving rhythm section, all layered with the deep, emotionally drenched melodies of Spinky’s hugely powerful vocals

Kingbreaker is Spinky, Gabriel, Tom and Mikko, a new London-based band of metalheads from four different countries and two different hemispheres, drawn together by the need to play music, the desire to do something a little different, to create, to perform, to headbang, to rock.

Kingbreaker's music began as a living room collaboration between Australian bassist Tom, and Portuguese guitarist Gabriel in 2013. They had been playing together in London band Cities Will Fall for a few years prior, and conceived of a new project during the terminal stages of Cities' unfortunate demise.

Their many subsequent riff-packed, groovy jams were fruitful, and the results were funneled into arrangements sufficient to pique the interest of Finnish drummer Mikko, and Spinky, a vocalist from Hertfordshire and fellow member of Gabriel's in The Mariana Hollow, who both joined in 2014.

Mikko's precision, power, and rhythmic song-craft, together with Spinky's truly unique and versatile voice, and evocative, enthralling lyrics and melodies, elevated the arrangements into songs distinct from and far beyond what Gabriel and Tom had first imagined. This new level of creativity and collaboration propelled Kingbreaker's songwriting forward, and by summer 2015 they'd completed ten songs that would become their debut album.

Recorded and engineered by Jamie Dodd at Hackney's Flesh & Bone Studios, To the Fire is an explosive, thunderous first effort, that energetically thrusts and bounces the listener along on an exploration of chugging riffs, venomous solos, crashing rhythms, and powerful, memorable choruses. It's a journey that shifts with ease and grace from heaviness and aggression, to introspection and frailty. From darkness to colour. From beauty to ugliness and back again. And it will always, always leave you wanting more.

It's Kingbreaker's perfect arsenal as they set about playing on as many stages, and to as many people as they possibly can.

Spinky - Vocals / Gabriel - Guitar / Tom - Bass / Mikko - Drums

London four-piece, Sun Arcana are set to release their fifth single on the 26th of August 2016.
‘Orpheus’, self produced and recorded by the band in their own studio, was mixed and mastered by renowned producer Arthur Walwin and will be available digitally at all the major outlets.
The new single is without doubt the bands finest moment to date and looks to set to eclipse the all round acclaim of BBC Introducing favourite  ‘Nocturnal’ which has had nearly 120,000 views on YouTube since it’s release in April this year.Watch – ‘Nocturnal’:
Sun Arcana were formed in Essex by singer and guitarist Tom Harper-Ward in 2014. He has since been joined by Ryan Daniels, Harry Acreman and Jules Wildblood and have evolved into a band of four young and talented musicians who have swiftly developed a truly unique sound. Evocative, bold and lush, the group effortlessly create songs that recall the rich textures and emotive persuasion of Radiohead, Muse and Coldplay to great effect.
Sun Arcana, who are currently in the studio putting the finishing touches to an EP, recently played a packed London headline show at the 02 Academy and will announce further dates in the very near future.

London based Chase The Day are gearing up to their album release on September 9th. 'Tabula Rasa' is an album full of the history of alt rock bringing with it a a modern approach to the sound that made great bands great.  With the emphasis firmly seated in quality of the songs, this is matched by great recordings and kick ass ass attitudes, the songs don't just tell the story, they are the story.

Being the brainchild of James Kirsch (vocals/guitar), Tabula Rasa was birthed to realise the statement that music should be able to stand the test of time, breaking out of the genre defining restraints that are so prevalent in the industry today. With a sound that gives a celebratory hat-tip to the grunge era of the late 90's, Chase The Day are releasing 'Tabula Rasa' in the hope that the music can once again be at the forefront of the music industry.

With their second single 'Forget Your Name', Chase The Day treat us all to an up-tempo statement of intent, crafted to make you not only pump your fist, but also consider a message... "Thrown into that place where I forget your name, We’ve been here before but can we start again?"

Tabula Rasa Tracklisting
01 Pariah
02 Chase The Day
03 A Little Peace
04 Forget Your Name
05 Damage Done
06 Rats In My Cellar
07 Seed
08 Just The Same
09 Across The Water
10 Honey Pot
11 Spider jerusalem
12 Dig

Tabula Rasa was produced by Tommy Gleeson, who provides this insight into the 12 month journey of making the album a reality...

"Personal highlights for me include Forget Your Name and Seed, but it’s such a dynamic record with so much light and shade throughout that I’m confident there will be something for everyone in there."

James (Vocals & Guitar) talks about the album artwork:

"We were looking for a way to express the album title and jumped off the idea of a blank slate: both the desert and water are different representations. The glass box also symbolises the womb in a way, so the idea of rebirth is explored there. Then we were extra cruel and toyed with the idea of both characters wanting what the other had, because they both saw it as a fresh start, a blank slate: Tabula Rasa."
About Chase The Day:
Plaid wearing, riff slinging, heart baring alt-rockers from London. For fans of the best bands of the 90s, massive hooks and killer riffs.

Chase The Day's debut album 'Tabula Rasa' features twelve tracks of groovy riffs and catchy hooks that will take you right back to the alt rock/grunge heyday of the 90s. Every track is different; from the swinging RATM style riffs and lush harmonies of lead single ‘Pariah’ (featured in Classic Rock Magazine's tracks of the week), through to the Nirvana-inspired introspective acoustic number ‘Just the Same’, the pop Weezerisms of ‘Across the Water’, to the thumping closer ‘Dig’.

With a full UK release on 9th September, Tabula Rasa is available to pre-order now from the bands website at

Artist: Big Top Heartbreak

Album: Deadbeat Ballads

Label: Two Bob Records

Release Date: October 17th 2016

Deadbeat Ballads is a singular collection of songs.. Performed with a unique combination of pathos and hilarious wit. Musically it has great depth but with a fine pop sensibility, and never less than razor sharp lyrics and humour. It’s an album that could easily become a cult hit… Totally immediate but at the same time a grower. Spot on" Jim Barr – Portishead, Get The Blessing

“The music of Big Top Heartbreak is a busted carousel of hopes and fears. The album is ferocious, full of truth and visceral, heart rending gallows humour. Simply put, it’s brilliant.”  Ross Wilson – Blue Rose Code

“a deceptively misanthropic ode set to gorgeous piano and gloriously imperfect violin. Its uninhibited sadness mingles with unbreakable optimism, pinned up by Scott Lavene’s cracked baritone.”- Pop Matters

‘DEADBEAT BALLADS’ is the debut album from an original and exciting artist, Big Top Heartbreak.

Recorded in Bristol with some wonderful musicians including Quinta on saw (Bat For Lashes, Patrick Wolf), Pete Judge (Get The Blessing, Super Furry Animals), Jim Barr (Portishead) and TJ Allen (Bat For Lashes) who also produced and mixed the album.

Essex born Scott Lavene, the lead man and songwriter, wrote the majority of the songs whilst in a house for the bewildered. Alive again and hungry for the chance to make music, Scott went on tour supporting Blue Rose Code in 2015 and set about making the album. Scott’s honesty, passion and humorous takes on life are here to enjoy in these fresh and original songs.

Live, Big Top Heartbreak is both a powerful and intimate affair. Touching, funny, honest and a master class in storytelling.

The album will be released on 17thth October with a London launch party followed by a national solo tour to support the release.

Directed, written by and starring Gervais, David Brent: Life On The Road sees a documentary crew catching up with David Brent twelve years on from ‘The Office’.  Brent is now a travelling salesman, chasing his dream of rock stardom by self-financing a UK tour with his band, ‘Foregone Conclusion’.  The accompanying album Life On The Road includes songs composed by Gervais especially for the film and songs already familiar to fans including Free Love Freeway, Paris Nights, Spaceman and Equality Street.
Produced by Gervais and Andy Burrows – a successful recording artist under his own name and formerly of Razorlight – Life On The Road was recorded and mixed at Air Edel Studios in London by Nick Taylor.
"Even though the songs are funny in context, they’re not comedy songs as such,” says Gervais. “David Brent doesn’t think they’re funny. He thinks they’re important. And actually they’re not terrible songs. And they’re insanely catchy. But the tragedy comes from the fact that a 55 year old tampon rep is singing rock songs about travelling across America picking up Señoritas or trying to end racism in reggae songs while singing with a Jamaican accent. He’s also paid for the best musicians and studio time out of his own hard earned cash and pension.”
“You have to have a real knowledge and love of rock music to be able to spoof it as well as Ricky,” adds Burrows. “He’s an excellent songwriter, and these are really good songs. They’re also hilarious. Combining the two is much, much harder than he makes it appear.”
Also available is the David Brent Songbook by David Brent, out 11th August RRP £12.99 (Blink Publishing)
