 GEM-
This track is from the forthcoming album The Ink Snails Tattooed Trail.  Three other tracks from this album have already enjoyed national air play from BBC Radio 2 and numerous other radio stations up and down the British Isles, including BBC Introducing, who are continuing to support G.E.M  for this forthcoming album release.   It is now due for a January release and will be supported by a UK tour - for details watch this space:   www.jefflowemusic.com

The Groove Enlightened Minstrels are a six-piece based in the South West.   Playing the songs of Jeff Lowe, G.E.M have been delighting audiences throughout the UK for the last seven years.   Jeff Lowe, as a session guitarist, has worked in the past with numerous bands and high-ranking producers like Trevor Horn, Phll Mazanerer (Roxy Music), Dave Bascombe (Tears for Fears) and Micky Most.  He has also written successfully for late Eighties band Cutting Crew, one of the few bands to score a number one hit in the USA, the UK and Europe simultaneously.

“Hippos” is a track that is played live in the set of G.E.M. and always guarantees them a hearty round of applause.  The very addictive on-the-beat groove, catchy chorus and ukulele riff gets feet tapping from beginning to end.

Lyrically “Hippos” refers to an all-too-human trait of “reluctance to change” and the way we all, from time to time, ‘drift our lives away” instead of getting on with positive action that will improve our lives.  Jeff Lowe, writer/singer and guitarist in G.E.M. once saw the chorus line “Hippos are at home in the dirt” written on a young man’s tee shirt while visiting a very famous hamburger store.  Jeff said he “couldn’t resist but write a song around this idea”/

Released:  30 October 2015 on Heartquake Records

Little Lapin
Go!Stop!Go! from Remember the Highs Album.
For the release, Cornish based Reverie Film chose a secret location in the seaside town of Falmouth to record a live acoustic session with Harry Harding on drums (Ruarri Joseph). Here's a link:

RELEASES NEW SINGLE ‘PERMISSION TO LEAVE’ FROM UPCOMING ALBUM ‘THE BOLEYN AFFAIR’

“Soulful….Brilliant” Daily Mirror

“Amazing…superb! Destined for Stardom”Sunday Mail

Paloma Faith has competition from

Hannah Boleyn…A Rolls Royce of a voice” The Sun

Singer/songwriter Hannah Boleyn releases new single ‘Permission to Leave’ on 6thNovember 2015 via Tudor Gate Records.

The track is produced and mixed by acclaimed producer Ash Howes (Ellie Goulding, Kylie Minogue) .

Says Boleyn about the track “ Permission To Leave is about realising it’s ok to fight.  I got drunk and had a massive argument with my boyfriend. In the morning I assumed it was over, but he said the fight wasn’t to be mistaken for “permission to leave”.  I wrote the song with Paul Barry (who penned Cher’s ‘Believe’), James Jeffrey & Patrick Mascall at Metrophonic.  I told them about the line ‘don’t mistake it for permission to leave’ that was circulating in my head – they loved it and that was our starting point for the song.”

Describing her sound as 'cinematic soul’, Hannah takes influences from artists such as Amy Winehouse, Lana Del Ray and Shirley Bassey.

‘Permission To Leave’ is the third single from Hannah Boleyn’s debut album ‘The Boleyn Affair’ which is released 6th November 2015.

OH DESIRE’

THE NEW ALBUM, 23RDOCTOBER 2015

One - Wild Fire – Arms - The Birds - Oh Desire – Smiling – Seven - Walking On Air –

Phoenix Ava - Rising Up – Rosario - The Devil’s Hillside – Thirteen

It begins and ends with a picked guitar and a flourish of strings, weaving a melody that suggests riches to come and, at the close, an outbreath of satisfaction. Between these two codas lies a thirteen track journey that takes in soul, folk and country, introducing us to the lair of the devil in County Tipperary, South London geography, escape and escapism, love, loss, despair and, most crucially desire. ‘It’ is ‘Oh Desire’, the second studio album from Jonathan Jeremiah and his third long player release.

Recorded at Konk Studios in Hornsey on 16 track tape via live sessions over a six month period, ‘Oh Desire’ sees Jonathan perform with a settled band developed over three years of touring in the UK and across mainland Europe, where debut album ‘A Solitary Man’ made the North London based singer / songwriter a household name and led to his lauded ‘Gold Dust’ collaboration recorded with the Metropole Orkest in the Netherlands. The release of ‘Oh Desire’ in mainland Europe has seen Jonathan’s star continue to rise with a host of TV performances, celebratory reviews, sold out headline tour across northern Europe and a career defining performance at Holland’s Pinkpop Festival.

As with that debut, ‘Oh Desire’ cements Jonathan’s position as a songwriter of extraordinary ability. Drawing on his immigrant parentage, dad from a small railway town near Calcutta, mum from rural Ireland, the album sees him imagine fleeing his London base to that house on the rocks in Sydney’ but also celebrating his hometown in ‘Arms’. Having begun with a strict soul album in mind, the collaborative process altered that original tightly drawn plan, creating a ‘more magpie like collection’ in its author’s words that encompasses his musical loves, honed through a childhood listening to rare soul cassettes on his paper-round and his dad’s James Taylor and Carole King albums in the family home.

‘Oh Desire’ is that most special of collections, an album versed in story and melody, an expression of a love of music and song writing to embrace and entice the listener and, as such, marks another step in the evolution of one of the UK’s most individual and exciting artists.

‘Oh Desire’ is released by BMG on 23rdOctober, 2015. The album features first single release, ‘Wild Fire’, available as an instant download to those pre-ordering the album from http://smarturl.it/OhDesireiTunes,  (physical copies can be pre-ordered via http://smarturl.it/OhDesireCD) and accompanied by a stunning animated video which can be seen here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e24gouHjIBg

Beverly Girl gets the blood racing with ‘DNA’

Electrifying track set for release on November 13th

Beverly Girl is the brainchild of Finnish natives Johanna Saarinen, Tuomas Orasmaa and Artur U. Described as  One of 10 International artists to watch in 2015” and “the kind of music punk 80s Madonna could only dream about” Beverly Girl are impressing everyone they come into contact with.

Listen on SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/beverly-girl/dna
Watch on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7_jex9_3HaM

‘DNA’ is a futuristic, dystopian song about people and technology. The song and especially the video are also inspired by dance, body language and movement. ‘DNA’ is a far cry from the first days of Beverly Girl, when demos were recorded with a £25 mic in a tiny apartment With the help of a single envelope and a CD-R the band managed to attain extensive national coverage and put themselves on the map.

Since their conception the band has been carving out a new genre in which to align themselves with. Beverly Girl were one of the first bands in their area to combine conventional funk elements with dance and house music which sets them apart from the pack. Beverly Girl is not a regular band with a regular set up. How many bands do you know intersperse drum machines with live guitar and keyboards, live choreography and dance moves? The answer is not many.

Dance has always been a massive part of the band with Johanna having experience in choreography and contemporary dance. Beverly Girl frequently invite dancers on stage with them and have DJ’d at dance parties often. With a rich blend of both musical and visual art, Beverly Girl are onto a winning formula

‘ DNA’ is set to drop on November 13th.

Scottish four piece living the dream with new track available October 17th

“A punchy in your face indie rock band somewhere between led zeppelin and the stereophonics” -
Jim Gellatly, XFM/Amazing Radio.

When one of the nation’s most beloved tastemaker’s describes a band in the terms above, you know it’s a band worth making a note of. A raucous, uplifting Scottish four piece who specialise in soulful, guitar based Brit-rock, Proud Honey are clearly turning heads in all the right places. Already nominated for best British band 2015 by Pure M magazine, the band have also been compared to the varied and brilliant likes of The Stone Roses, The Verve, Primal Scream, Oasis, the Charlatans and many more classic British bands.

And October sees their latest release, the single ‘Weekend Millionaire’. Influenced by a credit card fuelled stag do on which the band members went out on the town and spent ‘ridiculous amounts of money we didn’t have’, the song tells the tale of the high life which comes back to earth with a bang once reality kicks back in. Energetic and full of fun, it’s a track which deserves to launch Proud Honey to a new level in the industry.

But fantastic tracks and studio work like the song above are only part of this band’s appeal. Such is Proud Honey’s appeal north of the border that their headline show at the prestigious Scottish venue King Tuts was a sold out masterpiece. With quality in both their live and recorded work, Proud Honey have struck a difficult balance which eludes many of their contemporaries.

One final indication of how immediately effective their music can be? When they took the opportunity (without permission) to play their music over the tannoy at a well know national supermarket, shoppers immediately started to ask staff who the band were.

When a band can make that kind of impact on first listen, you know you’re on to a winner. The debut single will be released by Sub Label recordings Ltd under management from their newly launched label 'Urban Pop Records'.
